Momentum 2 (Light Southern) Review

Aussie director Michelle Flynn uncorks a second entry in her original series with MOMENTUM VOL. 2 (2015, Light Southern-Australia) as the roller skater girl (Chloe B) from the first volume becomes the main focus of this suburban Australian tale set in the mid-70s. Wide screen. Condoms used. 50 minutes plus a few extras.

At home, roller skater girl Chloe grabs an lp of Changesonebowie and lies across a couch. During the opening credits she ditches her roller skates in favor of a bicycle with a front basket filled with some deliveries. Here, director Flynn introduces other characters via Chloe's voyeuristic tendencies. She peers in a window at a skate boarder dude (Rob Paulsen) as he bathes his hairy body in the shower. She spots the lovely Bobbie hanging white sheets with clothes pins on an outdoor wash line, which leads her to find a place in nearby tall grass to spread her legs and rub her pussy and stay fully clothed in case someone should happen by.

Skate boarder guy Rob gets dressed and heads over to the residence of Madison Missina with curlers in her hair and sex on her mind. Chloe had followed him on her bicycle and sets up shop outside of Madison's window to observe Madison's booty call with Rob. A straight sex bedroom encounter ensues as Rob dons a condom to fuck the curler-wearing Madison, who sports an especially hairy pussy. Warm colors are the rule as tight shots alternate between the foreground figure and background figure being in focus. The duo face each other in a wonderful cowgirl bit with very bouncy springs heard by Chloe outside the window. She takes off with his board on her bike before the duo can discover her identity.

Chloe has bike issues so Bobbie comes to her rescue as the duo walk away down a suburban sidewalk to some sort of garden area where touching and tasting of plants segues into their scene. Bobbie, a hearing impaired performer with a short, bleached hair cut, has wonderful boobs that Flynn captures in a more naturally lit bathroom environ for their girl/girl encounter with a variety of fingering positions. Chloe's dress stays on for half the encounter then signs to Bobbie when her dress comes off for an upright fingering session after a fade to black. This terrific encounter concludes with both characters getting off, embracing and kissing before a dissolve to the bicycle tires of Chloe's bike back on the road ends this installment of MOMENTUM.

Director Flynn follows a similar scene order with MOMENTUM VOL. 2 as she did with MOMENTUM VOL. 1: a brief introductory sex scene opens the action, a boy/girl encounter lands the center spot and a girl/girl finale wraps up each series installment. Flynn's refreshing organic presentation of her characters keeps the encounters human and real, which is quite the diversion from the male-dominated gonzo flicks that dominate most of porn production.

So, give MOMENTUM 2 (2015, Light Southern-Australia) a shot if you are in the mood for a change of pace from the fuck-by-the-numbers gonzo productions. Director Flynn has a wonderful retro-porn series in progress here so let's hope that many more editions follow.

And now for a QUICKIE review...I had the pleasure of watching MOMENTUM VOL. 1 and MOMENTUM VOL. 2 on one bright and sunny October afternoon. Director Flynn captures the retro-vibe of late '60s/early '70s Australia to greater effect in the first installment as characters spend a great amount of time riding, even sucking and fucking in old Holden automobiles from that period. Also, an extra female character allows for a trio of lovely females to surf and frolic at the beach for a really terrific opening that segues into a straight sex encounter in a Holden Panel Van that, in turn, leads to roller skater Chloe's indoor encounter that's the segue to MOMENTUM VOL. 2. Those wonderfully captured exterior encounters boost the rating of MOMENTUM VOL. 1 to !!!!
