MILF (Viv Thomas) Review

UK director Kendo's dark and mysterious MILF (2013, Viv Thomas) interweaves 5 shadowy MILF encounters via an abundance of fabulous imagery (and some repeating images) intermixed with ambient or classical music plus sounds of the participants to form one 76 minute DVD experience that's not to be missed. His cast of lovely UK females each wear at least a piece of lingerie or clothing in their one-on-one encounter with an anguished male counterpart. Their beaus include Euro dudes like Seb Cam/Clarke Kent, Jamie Barry, Peter Oh Tool, Kai Taylor and Pascal White. Kudos also to the fabulous editing by Cymbals, who also shot the film along with Kendo and Thrawn. Music by Audio Network PLC. Wide screen. No condoms.

Each scene runs about 15 minutes each but the repeating of images joins each scene thus creating a cohesive whole. Also note that the film briefly juts at the 38 minute mark of your DVD, maybe halts for a split second and starts the counter over again; thus dividing the flick in half.

The image that's most repeated is this shot of Tanya Tate whose half face contorting into an orgasmic expression covers the bottom half of the frame. During her scene, the 4th encounter of the DVD, the camera then pans to reveal her tits being ravaged by her beau. However, early on, this image of just her half face flashes before us and returns at different times during the DVD.

So, in the first scene, lovely Karina Currie plays with herself until her anguished beau gets it together for a straight sex encounter that's heavy on sepia toned images, edits and music.

Daniella Aire does her make up and one of these images tends to repeat in other parts of the disc. In this second scene, she wears this black and white striped patterned dress during her straight sex encounter of black and white images plus other cool shadowy shots with hints of color.

Buxom Alexis May's scene is the only one that really allows for a sense of place as her and her beau fuck in a brass bed with lighting that captures the action in a more traditional sense. (This segue into more traditional lighting is just about at that halfway point of the DVD)

Tanya Tate, who, by the way, has made more films than all of the other performers combined, seems to suck and fuck on the same brass bed as the previous encounter but the array of tight shots that are dark and cool never really establishes where she's at. At this point, the DVD captures an orgasmic mood more than anything else.

Shots of an anguished Kai Taylor are intercut with shots of blonde Rebecca More in a mirror. Their darkened encounter starts out in a strange living room area then Rebecca lands on the floor for this darkened doggy position that's quite beautiful.

So, MILF (2013, Viv Thomas) is an orgy of beautiful images presented via straight sex encounters that are paired with wonderful music and natural sounds. It's actually presented in the traditional 5 scene format like most gonzo flicks; however, by mixing other images from other scenes, Kendo gives the disc a sort of cohesiveness that's missing from nearly all gonzo productions. Plus, his venturing into the darker recesses of the erotic image makes this production stand out not only from the glut of gonzo but also from other art core presentations too bent on utilizing brightly lit environs. So, Kendo's MILF is a step up from those many discs he directed for Daring! and grabs a !!!! outta !!!!!
