BBW Kelly Shibari lands a plus-size showcase DVD simply called MEET KELLY (2014, Digital Sin) with Eddie Powell directing A-listers that include James Deen, Mr. Pete, Scarlet La Vey, Ramon Nomar and Mick Blue in encounters with Kelly. 42 year old, Japanese/Irish Kelly talks before, after and in between the 4 encounters in widescreen with no condoms. Over 2 1/2 hours not including DVD extras.

Kelly talks about the type of guy she likes and how she got into the industry. She likes guys that write really well and prefers to read more than watch porn or erotica. She goes off on a brief rant about the 2007 Writers' Strike (more about that later) that she says contributed to her getting into the porn business. Some tease footage is intercut with all of Kelly's chit-chatty sessions before each scene.

So, MEET KELLY (2014, Digital Sin) is a splendid show case for BBW performer Kelly Shibari. Director Eddie Powell captures the sex scenes with his usual flair for natural lighting set-ups and Kelly's speaking interludes are void of any male voice asking her questions and that's a huge plus. Kelly stays the focus here and that's why I am slapping a !!!! outta !!!!! for the style and format of this DVD with the type of performer that does not always get this sort of solid attention. Let's see more of these types of showcases for interesting female performers that might otherwise be over looked by an industry obsessed with the next sex crazed young cutie to come along.

Now, in her intro, Kelly blames the 2007 Writers' Strike for the glut of reality programming that would follow in its wake; hey Kelly, there was already way too much prior to the strike. Why she would even go there is a bit strange and even stranger is that the folks at Digital Sin left this bit in a porn DVD. Seems stupid that her rant follows her proclaiming how much she digs "guys that write really well" for a DVD that's void of any writing thanks to her chit chats accompanying what amounts to reality pornography. These misguided Kelly comments do not belong in this sort of DVD that's suppose to be a celebration of her first "bucket list, star fucker movie".
