Initial Expectations: Mason has impressed me with everything I’ve seen from her. I’m really looking forward to seeing this one, especially due to having the great Selena Silver in it!

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual, Mason mixes things up very well. Mason’s Sexual Disorder falls halfway between studio porn and gonzo porn. The audio is clear and nicely balanced, with Mason’s talking behind the camera blending in with what’s happening in front of the camera extremely well. The video has a little grain, but some of that’s due to the circumstances of some of the scenes. The pair of scenes which show some grain are shot in a low light environment where one should expect to get some graininess. It adds to the artistic feel of the movie here, and is hard to avoid. The other scenes are nicely clear and every bit as good as what one normally expects from studio shot porn. There’s a few camera shakes, but since part of the movie is done as Mason documenting her life, it works very well.

Music: None

Menus: The menus are very well done. The main menu blends a bit of the movie, a little animation, and a dark feel in a way that really sets the mood right for the feature. The chapter menu also shows some very nice care by letting you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the female in that scene.

The Feature

It was bound to happen. Mason was finally locked up. They tried to rehabilitate her so she’d realize that women are equal, but fragile and should be treated accordingly. Throughout it all the main thing that keeps her going is her love for Julie Night. When she’s finally released, Mason heads to the airport hanger to find that Julie has left her, and sets out to hunt her down and make her realize how much she loves her, knowing that she and Julie are meant to be together.

Scene 1 - Jessica Darlin and Mickey G.

Orderly Mickey brings inmate Mason her fix in the freight elevator in the form of Jessica to start things out. Jessica’s hands are tied with ropes and she’s only wearing a pair of knee high black boots and a black hood. Scene 2 - Katrina Kraven, Manuel Ferrara, and Denis Marti

After being rehabilitated and released back into society, Mason goes to the aircraft hanger to see if her package arrived. She’s shown a box, and after opening it, finds it filled with shredded paper and a note from Julie saying that she has to be free. Manuel and Denis bring exotic looking Katrina to Mason, who’s the new person in charge of security. I’m really surprised at how much I liked this scene. Katrina takes it all amazingly well, and makes this an excellent scene that’s energetic, intense, and full of chemistry!

Scene 3 - Maggie Star and Mr. Pete

Maggie shows up at Mason’s place when she calls one of the numbers in the back of a paper. Maggie wasn’t the girl in the ad, and tells Mason that the person in the ad was her roommate who couldn’t make it. Mason isn’t happy, but decides that Maggie will do and sends her into the bathroom to change into the outfit she has for her. This gives the scene a bit of an odd feeling, but it also adds a lot of depth and feeling to the movie. Maggie takes it all very well and plays the romantic aspect at the same time to make this a great scene.

Scene 4 - Selena Silver, Wesley Pipes, and Cuntree Pipes

Mason brings jailbird Wesley a bribe in the form of Selena in black lingerie, stockings, and porno pumps to get him to tell her what she wants to know. After finding out what she wants to know, Mason has Selena get down to suck Wesley’s cock while Cuntree watches from the next cell. I’ll admit that I also don’t care for how most black guys in porn let their motormouths run wild in borderline ebonics, and I normally avoid Wesley Pipes because of it, but here with the prison situation it worked fairly well. This is a good scene that is right on par with most of what I’ve seen from Selena Silver, but it still left me a little disappointed.

Scene 5 - Julie Knight, Sergio, Scott Lyons, Brian Surewood, Chris Mountain, and Mickey G.

Scene 6 - Julie Knight, Benjamin Bratt, Dick Tracy, and Trent Tesoro

Mason continues her great streak of intense and rough movies with Mason’s Sexual Disorder. Unlike her previous movies, which were vignettes that often had a little story to lead into them, Mason’s Sexual Disorder tells a story. Perhaps the biggest surprise here is that it’s a beautiful love story. Yes, there’s a lot of intense and rough sex throughout this beautiful love story, but anybody who’s enjoyed Mason’s previous movies should be able to have some kind of understanding of the beauty of this story as Mason seeks out the woman she loves so that they can be together. I was amazed at the level of emotion in the story, and yes, it tugged on my heart as well as my zipper as I watched it. The sex throughout Mason’s Sexual Disorder is also very good, and borders on excellent! I love the start with Jessica Darlin and Mickey G., and Katrina Kraven keeps things going extremely well. Surprisingly, the only scene that came close to misfiring for me was Selena Silver’s scene, which was very good but just didn’t fit right with its attitude. It seemed a little weak compared to the others, but I’m sure that in any other movie it would have worked great. Mason’s Sexual Disorder isn’t even close to being for everybody, but if you want something rough and intense with a bit of a plot, it’s pretty hard to beat.

The Extra Stuff

Mason’s Sexual Disorder is packed with extras. Trailers are included for I Love It Rough 2, Spread ‘Em Wide, and Full Anal Access. The photo gallery is nicely arranged by female, and each female gets a gallery lasting about a minute with roughly six seconds per very nice looking snapshot. There’s also an interview with Mason, home movies, and a behind the scenes featurette.

The interview lasts nearly sixteen minutes and has Tony Dammit interviewing Mason. She talks about her thoughts on this feature, as well as the effect this feature and her others have had on her. She also talks about her feelings for her performers and other things, such as recovering from her car accident. It’s an amazingly human interview that anybody who watches this movie should check out, whether you liked it or not.

Mason’s Home Movies lasts about twelve minutes. It’s footage showing many different sides of Julie Night which appeared in the background of the movie. You get to see her from loving to studious to domestic to sexual. It’s a very different extra, and mixes a bit of what you feel you know of Julie and Mason with a very loving feel.

Finally, the behind the scenes featurette lasts about thirty seven minutes. After a phone call with Mason’s Mom, things get on with the scenes. Mason starts out with Katrina, talking with her about people’s reactions to her movies as well as talking to Katrina about her own sexuality. She talks with the other girls about their scenes, the feel on her set compared to other sets, and words such as “slut” or “whore”. There’s also a few outtakes from the sex scenes, a little talk about an experience with the LAPD, and a few appearances by William H., who’s every bit as odd and amusing as normal. It’s a really good behind the scenes feature, and gives you some great personality from Mason and her crew, as well as a nice look at the shooting of the movie.

Currently, many Platinum X DVDs can be found online for between $15 and $25, with a good portion of the stores offering them for under $20. This one’s well worth the money. The sex is intense and hot, the technical aspects are nicely done, and there’s over an hour of extras to boot! If you want something on the rougher side, Mason’s Sexual Disorder should be way up on your list!

Note to Platinum X Pictures: It’s great to see you putting so much care into your DVDs! The only thing I’d really like to see added here is a cast list by scene (although listing the scenes by the female performer is a great start). In the future, please pay a little more attention to your credits. When Michele Raven’s scene was cut, she should have been cut from the credits as well!

Extra Note: In my original review I stated “Michele Raven is listed in the opening credits, but never appears in the actual movie. There’s a small clip of her in the behind the scenes, but apparently her scene was cut for either time or content.”. I screwed up here and thank Mason for dropping me an e-mail to correct me. Michele does appear for a very brief moment in the feature. It’s brief enough that Mason said she didn’t want Michele’s name on the box to mislead people. I have to give Mason a lot of credit here, first for taking the time to read my review, second to care enough to let me know where I made a mistake, and most importantly to care about the performers and fans. Many other people either wouldn’t have listed Michele in the final credits or shown her on the cover in an attempt to get Michele’s fans to pick up the movie even though they’d end up extremely upset because she only has a very short cameo.
