The Short Story

Initial Expectations: I’ve been impressed with quite a bit of what I’ve seen from Ernest Greene. I’m going into this one with some decent expectations.

Initial Reaction: It’s a nicely done bondage feature!

Who Should Watch It : Anybody who’s into bondage or curious about it

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting to see bondage situations on the sadistic side of things

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced. There’s a little hiss in the background for some of it, and I think I only noticed one phone ring for background noises. The video is also very nicely done. It has some very slight grain, but is nicely lit.

Music: There’s a little music which rests very quietly in the background. It has a classical feel, and works very well for the feature.

Menus: The menus are decent. The main menu has some decent animation which gives a good first impression. The chapter menu is pretty standard and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene.

The Feature

When Tiffany Mynx thinks about the possibility of becoming a Mistress, she comes to Mistress Midori to see if she has what it takes. Mistress Midori tells her that it’s not as easy as it seems, as everybody has their own special touch that’s needed. Mistress Midori moves on to tell Tiffany stories about people she knows so that Tiffany might have a better idea of what’s going to be required of her.

Scene 1 - Chelsea Blue and Drew Andrews

When Drew confesses that he looked at pictures of another Mistress, she takes him up on his suggestion to punish him. She chains him to a chair and slaps his face lightly until he stops smiling. She begins his punishment by sliding an electric shocker across his chest before moving down to get his attention where he’ll notice it most. Chelsea strips down, for her pleasure not Drew’s, and then shocks his cock for looking at her when he wasn’t supposed to. She moves on to use clothespins on his nutsack and flog his back before deciding that he’s had enough punishment. She rewards him by letting him worship her feet and legs before the scene fades out.

This is a pretty hot scene. Chelsea and Drew play very well off each other, and keep to their roles extremely well. Drew does a nice job of misbehaving and making it seem natural, while Chelsea’s dominance never seems in question. This is a nice scene to start things out with.

Scene 2 - Mistress Midori and Mickey G.

After fastening Mickey to the chair, Mistress Midori cages his cock and balls. She adds some lead weights in a bag to the cage, and after a little threat, flogs him. After putting a mask on Mickey, Mistress Midori puts a mouse trap on his balls and flogs him a bit more. Finally Mistress Jewel leaves Mickey to supposedly get somebody to relieve him sexually.

This is an amazing scene! I can’t believe what all Mickey took here, and Mistress Midori makes it all look extremely easy and natural. It’s a hot scene, and one that I think will shock people new to this sort of thing and turn on those who are familiar with it.

Scene 3 - Jewel Marceau and Anthony Crane

Jewel takes on “newbie” Anthony in the penultimate scene. She binds Anthony’s hands and makes him undress her using his mouth. She makes him worship her butt, and then makes him prove his sincerity before he gets more. Jewel gives Anthony a spanking to test him before moving on to his flogging while making him tell her that he’ll do anything for her. Anthony also gets a taste of the crop and the sting of clothespins before Jewel uses him as a pony. She rides him around the room and finally commands him to take her to her bedroom as the scene fades out.

This is another nicely done scene. I really like how the scene keeps things soft and friendly while working around several different areas of bondage. It’s a very different scene from the others, and works very well.

Scene 4 - Mistress Midori and Tiffany Mynx

Mistress Midori starts Tiffany out getting her great ass to the right shade of pink with a spanking. She tests what Tiffany’s got by running chains between clamps on her pussy lips and her legs, inviting her to stand all the way up whenever she wants. Tiffany also gets a little titty torture, a flogging, and a taste of the electric shocker before the camera fades out.

This is a great scene to end things with. Mistress Midori appears to push Tiffany a little, but Tiffany seems to get into all of it. Mistress Midori nicely focuses on Tiffany’s great ass, and I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed watching an ass get as red as I did here as Tiffany’s was flogged. This is a very nice scene to finish things up with!

Making of a Mistress is a very nicely done bondage feature. It nicely brings several different areas into the movie using the stories, and everybody in the feature looks like they’re enjoying themselves a lot. The enjoyment is one of the things that’s always impressed me about Ernest Greene. I don’t think I’ve ever had the feeling that people in Ernest’s movies were just there for the money. They always seem to be enjoying themselves, and it makes all the difference in his movies. There’s no difference here, and it helps Making of a Mistress become a bondage feature I can’t help but recommend.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many Bizarre DVDs can be found online for between $14 and $28 with most stores offering them for over $20. If you’re interested in bondage, check this one out. There’s a nice variety of action, and it doesn’t have the sadistic feel of some bondage features. Although it doesn’t really have anything worth mentioning for extras, it does have nicely done technical aspects.
