Magic Mike XXXL: A Hardcore Parody Review

Welcome fans to a big movie release from director Brad Armstrong who is certainly no stranger to such projects. This show takes the form of a parody which Brad has done before to great success with The Rocki Whore Picture Show a few years back. The Hollywood movie being parodied here is a bit different as it is led by a big cast of men. I'm referring to Magic Mike and I must confess to never having seen the original movie until just yesterday after watching the parody. I can confidently say Brad & co. have done an amazing job in capturing the spirit of this story. In making this movie it was crucial that he nail the male cast and in that respect Brad also made some great choices especially Derrick Pierce in the Channing Tatum role and Some Alright,alright, alright McClane in the pivotal Matthew McConaughey role. Each of those two guys had needed to be great to make this a success and they came through in a big way. Seth Gamble in the role of the Kid also made a strong showing. In fact shout outs to every guy here as we also had Tommy Gunn as the Joe Manganiello character better known as Alcide from True Blood. Dick Chibbles gets the Kevin Big Sex Nash role while Some Dude is the Ken Doll looking role played by Matt Bomer in the original.

This movie/ parody was very dependent on the male cast and they did indeed do their jobs well including some great dance sequences during the show mirroring in nice measure to what was presented on the big screen. The costumes were nicely done along with the sets. I suppose the biggest departure story wise was the lessening of the role for the Kids sister. She was pretty much involved throughout the movie appearing it seemed every other scene while here in the parody that role seemed toned down though they tie her in nicely to the story sex wise. jessica drake gives a good explanation on how she became involved in this project. The sex itself was quite good as Brad brings in a solid cast of ladies who might not be involved character wise in the story but this is porn after all and we want to have good sex to balance out the story. In addition to jessica you have the likes of Adriana Chechik, India Summer, Asa Akira, Amirah Adara, Kendra Lust, Jessa Rhodes, Katrina Jade, Bridgette B, Maddy O'Reilly and Misty Stone captured. Amirah offered up anal in her scene. The Misty Stone role was played by Jada Pinkett Smith in the second Magic Mike but jessica lets us know they only saw the trailer for the second one and I can see how they used Misty in that fashion before adding other elements to her character that fit with the story presented in the parody version.

So the sex is covered well in this release with the fine cast of both men and ladies. The other element of a successful parody for me is what elements/ nods/ quirky little things they add from the Hollywood version to the XXX one. Again Brad and co come through in a big way here making this release one to beat in the Best Parody category at the upcoming AVN awards. The nods come right off the bat as we hit the scene from the movie where Channing goes in for his loan meeting and here it was Derrick Pierce meeting up with India Summer. It was a fine b/g scene but sadly no loan for Derrick! Another good tie in to the big movie had Seth Gamble and Some taking the tierra crown birthday girl for some XXX fun and the parody brings in Some's character to replace the Channing Tatum/Derrick character. Not sure why that was done as I'm sure they could have given Some a scene later but it was still a solid two guy/ two girl scene with Amirah and Jessa Rhodes on the other side. Tommy Gunn then takes over the sex portion for two straight scenes first nailing Adriana Chechik who is looking real good here. The two had an audience too as we see Kendra Lust standing in the doorway watching them and also playing with herself. After Tommy was done he tries to make a quiet getaway but is stopped by Kendra who calls him over. Turns out she's the step mother and was very turned on by what she watched and wondered if Tommy had anything left and you know he did!

The parody at this point leaves the Hollywood version behind and adds a porn element to the story. There is a scene with Some's character talking to the guys and he fell on hard times and makes his exit. At this same meeting we had Misty Stone in attendance and she is the Jada Pinkett Smith character from the sequel to Magic Mike. You can see in the trailer she still does the intro stuff that Matthew does in at least one scene in that movie and she also does that here in the parody. But the porn element to the parody takes over from here on out. Derrick comes up with the idea and then Misty steps in with her connections and brings down some hot girls, Asa Akira & Bridgette B, to take on a couple of the boys Some and Tommy doing scene #3! There is anal here too for Bridgette B. A small element perhaps but the guys wearing the red, white and blue speedos was another great tip of the cap to the original. I forgot there was one other scene before this one where Misty gets to have some fun with Derrick Pierce who gets a second scene in this release. A second "porn" scene is shot by the group as they use Rob Piper who Misty brings in from out of town to add some color and Tony Martinez as the Latin heartthrob. The two have some fun with Katrina Jade ending with a big facial for her. The last sex scene of the movie brings back the sister of the Kid played by jessica who has had a few dialogue scenes in the movie but no sex. Bringing back the first movie to close this parody out we have Derrick's character leaving the club like Channing did and he heads off to see the sister ready to make a change in his life. jessica won't marry him as he had a ring but her character had been portrayed as someone who fucks all of the Kids friends and she asks if he still considers himself one and Derrick answers in the affirmative hence one final sex scene with the lovely miss drake.

That ended the main movie portion of this release which comes as a two disc set meaning all the extra materials are on the second disc and there is a great selection of material here to check out. There is extended dance footage in two segments one of which features Some McClane's character and Brad Armstrong even takes a turn on the stage in full Zorro attire. You can check out a nice segment where we check in with various members of this cast in short conversations. The bar was a big set in the main movie and Brad wanted to use the real location for this parody but it had been rented out and changed so they made the best of it and I think you'll agree they did a fine job in this movie. It was funny watching Brad trying to talk to us about this while the power tools kept going off while he was talking. You can also check out dance rehearsals for this project and it can't be mentioned enough how good a job these guys did with those dance routines. There are three bonus scenes to check out as well. We missed seeing a lot of jessica in the parody but get two scenes in the bonus ones to enjoy. One has her hooking up with Kurt Lockwood from Love, Lust & Longing while the other sees her paired with Eric Masterson who has appeared in countless Wicked productions. This one comes from Bikini Outlaws. The remaining bonus scene featured Asa Akira with Danny Mountain from Impulse. As far as parody movies go this one is right up there. Brad and the whole Wicked Pictures crew did an amazing job and deserved all the AVN recognition in terms of nominations they received.
