Disc 1
In a studio setting, Envy (Gracie Glam) is hard at work; she's in front of the camera doing a tease then a masturbation session. (!!! for this 10 minute sequence.) Porn performer Luke (Rocco Reed, hmmm he is pretty busy with this flick) is on set and introduces himself to Envy, who tells him that she doesn't do boy/girl scenes. However, she gives Luke her number but does not answer his text right away, which leads to boring dissolves of Luke waiting for her eventual reply.
On a couch, Luke tells his buddy Ty (Ryan Mc Lane) about Envy then scoots away when Sophia appears ready and willing for action with Ty. (Pale, small tittied Dani Jenson with butt-ugly copper hair sucks and fucks with Mc Lane in an okay 20 minute scene that really does absolutely nothing for the story line---!!)
Luke and Envy finally go out on their date, which ends with a brief romantic stint at his place before she heads home to take care of her dog. One month later, on the same couch, the duo has formed some sort of relationship and Luke's jealous side appears when Envy reveals that she had stayed on set to watch another couple perform a boy/girl scene.
While on the phone, Envy gets some advice from Lacy (Charley Chase) then Lacy lands on a couch in the studio for suck and fuck encounter with Tom Byron. (Titty fucking action plus Charley's blow job interludes push this scene's rating up a notch or two. Good chemistry between Charley and Byron---!!!!)
When Envy lands a starring role in a DVD without Luke, he gets all in a jealous tizzy then eventually mopes around until Ty convinces him to go to a sports bar. The duo exit but all we see is Luke bringing a barmaid (Chanel Preston) back to his bedroom to fuck. (Another solid sex scene in a bedroom environ. Chanel looks lovely and administers solid blow job action of her own---!!! 1/2)
With the barmaid asleep next to him, Luke touches a framed pic of Envy then exits his bed. He goes to Envy where the two kiss and make up via stilted dialogue. (Rocco and Gracie stay in the couch for a 30 minute suck and fuck session with prerequisite kissing, which lacks some of the fire of the two scenes that precede it. Still, there's solid chemistry between the two performers---!!!)
So, LOVE OR LUST has some solid sex scenes thanks in part to Paul Woodcrest's cinematography and Tom Byron's editing. The big flaw in Rocco Reed's script is that too much attention is paid to Sophia, who fucks and leaves just like so many of these meaningless characters in too many Wicked features. This flick is suppose to be about Envy and Luke's relationship hampered by their working in the porn industry. Why didn't we see more of Envy's reaction to her first boy/girl shoot? Why didn't we see more of the actual shoot? It's glossed over here via scant dialogue.
Disc 2
The hour long Behind-the-Scenes is the only decent thing on this extra disc. The "Friendly Version" of the feature with no sex runs about 30 minutes and stands to remind everyone that the actual feature is so overstuffed with sex scenes that go on too long. Next time, why not give Tom Byron more to do in the editing booth and come up with a shorter version of the feature? Put the sex scenes in their entirety on the second disc, which gives viewers a reason to watch a second disc. A photo gallery and 4 trailers are the rest of the extras of note.
So, Rocco Reed's LOVE OR LUST (2012, Dream Zone Entertainment) has the right plot idea as porn performers Luke and Envy have trouble navigating their relationship in the world of XXX movie making. It's too bad that writer Rocco forgets about his heroine in favor of a character like Sophia, who sucks and fucks then disappears. Lacy's character at least has some sort of relationship with Envy but even her scene goes on too long in the grand scheme of things. So, this DVD is sorely missing some sort of extra encounter detailing Envy's first boy/girl shoot. As is, it's an average feature for the Romance DVD crowd and lands a final rating of
!! 1/2 outta !!!!!
