Initial Expectations: I think Serenity is one of the most talented females in the adult industry, which normally gives me quite a bit of hope for her features, especially with the high quality DVDs Wicked’s been turning out lately.

Initial Reaction: It’s nothing you haven’t seen before, but it’s still well done.

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is very clear and well balanced, especially for a feature that was shot before DVD was around. The video is pretty good, but does have a little grain and some shadow problems. There’s also a fairly long cut where you can see some of one of the cameramen on the side of the screen.

Music: The music has a nice country rock feel to it, and even contains lyrics during the first scene. Although some of it is well balanced, most of it is a bit loud. Unfortunately, it’s also the only audio in the final scene.

Menus: The main menu is Wicked’s normal high quality menu that has a unique feel and a nice little bit of animation. The chapter menu lists the chapters by a scene number and a small clip of the scene. It’s a pretty average way to offer a chapter menu, but I really wish Wicked would list the cast in the scenes as well.

The Feature: After pulling off a diamond robbery, Alex Sanders and Serenity decide to hole up in the small desert town of Lost Angels. It seems like a good plan, until the crooked Sheriff, Kyle Stone, gets involved. He doesn’t know anything about any robbery, but he doesn’t like the newcomers to his town, with the exception of the money he can milk out of them. All Serenity and Alex have to do is play their cards right and lay low until Vince Voyeur and Shayla LaVeaux arrive so they can get out and split up the booty.

Serenity and Alex Sanders start things off on the hood of his car in the middle of the desert. Alex makes Serenity squirm on his hood by playing with her pussy and then drops down to lick and finger her slit. There’s some decent chemistry here and some definite heat.

Crooked Sheriff Kyle Stone and his deputy Hank Armstrong head to the diner for a little of Anna Malle’s pie, hoping it’ll be fresh, warm, and plenty moist. The guys follow Anna over to the counter, where Kyle drops down to sample Anna’s muffin and pucker while she gives Hank’s sausage a taste test. Anna turns around so Hank can fuck her pussy from behind while she sucks off Kyle, who appears to be having problems getting hard but seems thrilled to be able to smell her panties. Serenity brings Sindee Coxx, who’s decked out in a great slutty outfit complete with fuck-me boots, back to the hotel to help Alex relax. Serenity starts out nibbling on Sindee’s snatch while Alex kisses her, and then comes up to sample Sindee’s tits and let Sindee eat her pussy as Alex goes down on Sindee. Serenity gets her turn next before the girls team up to orally work on Alex’s cock. Alex rudely ignored their guest to fuck Serenity first, but Serenity does what she can to make up for it by licking Sindee’s pussy as she’s getting fucked. They finally finish things off with Alex spraying both sets of tits with his guy goo. It’s another hot scene that has very nice chemistry, and everybody seems to be having a lot of fun.

While waiting for Anthony Crane to return, Shayla LaVeaux and Vince Voyeur kill time in the classic porno manner. Vince starts out eating her pussy before letting her suck his cock. It’s an okay scene, but feels very limited. It also feels extremely similar to one of Steel’s collaborations with Brad Armstrong, namely Double Cross.

Wrapping things up, Shayla LaVeaux and Serenity get down to business in the desert. They take their time undressing each other, while making sure to give each other plenty of loving, or at least lusting, kisses as they make their way across each other’s body. Serenity starts out licking Shayla’s twat as she stands in front of her before letting Shayla munch away. Serenity goes through several positions as Shayla eats her out, and shows the ballerina flexibility she’s so well known for. They even finish things up with some nice kissing. It’s a very hot scene that has great chemistry, but has one unfortunate drawback. The only audio in the entire scene is the music. You don’t even get to hear what they say to each other as they wrap up the scene. I’m guessing this is to cover up some of the outdoor noises, but it still brought the scene down some for me.

Once upon a time, Greg Steel and Brad Armstrong were a pretty strong movie making team. In Lost Angels, Greg Steel is on his own, and the feature suffers a little. The sex and acting are both above average, but nothing about the feature feels fresh. In many ways it just seems like a rehash of Double Cross with a different cast. Both revolve around people on the lam waiting out their time in a small hick town. Lost Angels does much better than the former effort, but also feels just as short as it is. The sex is pretty well above average, and has a pretty fair mix to it with a little something for everybody. Most noticeable about Lost Angels is Serenity. At the time it was made, it seems like she was just really starting to come into her own and get the recognition she so well deserves, as it was her first movie as a Wicked contract girl. She seems completely together here and does a great job of turning this from a familiar flop to something where you feel is worth watching, especially with the sex scenes where she covers all her bases. Lost Angels is a pretty decent adult flick, but nothing to really go out of your way for unless you’re a fan of the performers in it, but is definitely at least worth a rental.

Extras: Audio bios are included for Serenity, Anna Malle, Shayla LaVeaux, Alex Sanders, and Vince Voyeur. Each bio includes a few stills, some personal information, and a link to each star’s scene. The main photo gallery lasts almost four minutes with about seven seconds per photo and the behind the scenes gallery lasts about two and three quarter minutes. The photos are a nice mix of full screen and snapshots. Trailers are included for Working Girl, Crazed, Heartache, Double Feature!, The Bride of Double Feature, Dream Quest, Hell on Heels, Pornogothic, Sex Safari, Spellbound, The Kissing Game, Flashpoint, Knockout, Satyr, and Vengeance. There’s also a company profile, a listing of Wicked’s AVN and DVD awards, promotional materials, and the Wicked Web & Casino.

The most notable extra, however, is the eight and a half minutes of lost footage from Lost Angels. It nicely shows some of the scenes being shot, as well as some of the other things that went on behind the scenes. Much of it acts like a music video, as you don’t get to hear any of the audio from the set, but there’s also a little bit of footage that was cut from the movie. Although short and limited, for the time it takes it’s a nice look at the making of Lost Angels.

Overall: Currently, Lost Angels can be found online for between $18 and $30 with several stores offering it for under $25. The lower end is a very fair price, considering the length of the feature. Although short, it is well done, both sexually and dramatically. The transfer is very good, as are the extras.

Note to Wicked: The extra footage was a great addition here. Not many companies would bring out extra footage for older films like this.
