Loaded (Digital Playground) Review

This is one of the most intelligently written and acted xxx rated movies I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot of them. It's a buddy cop movie, which is a stereotype in mainstream movies, and has been done many times in adult, as well, but never this well. Barrett Blade and Eric Masterson approached director Nic Andrews saying they wanted to do a buddy cop flick, and Andrews wrote the script with them in mind, reproducing the way they normally talk to each other. Barrett and Eric then did an outstanding job bringing the thing to life.

There's also an astonishing amount of shooting, explosions and pyrotechnics. Andrews also did an amazing job with the title sequence and some transitional helicopter shot sequences. This is one slick, very professional looking production. It must have had a generous budget, and the whole budget is on the screen.

This is definitely a couples film, not a raincoater, because there is no anal sex, and the five sex scenes are all pretty much plain vanilla. They are 1) Cheyne Collins and Britney Skye, 2) Tyce Bune and Lea de Mae, 3) Jesse Jane and Lee Stone, 4) Jesse Jane and Eric Masterson, and 5) Barrett Blade and Asia Carrera. (And I must say that Asia looks better than ever--She just keeps get better looking with age.) There's also a bonus scene with Jesse Jane and Barrett Blade. There's a commentary track with Nic Andrews and Jesse Jane.

Bottom line: This is so professionally written, acted, and filmed--it's just so far above the average porno--that it is impossible not to recommend it, despite the fact that the sex was a little vanilla for my taste. Note to Digital Playground: Give Nic Andrews as much money as he wants for his next film. The results are well worth the money.
