Laws Of Love, The Review

During the opening credits, a lawyer named Martin (Ryan Mclane) complains about the types of women that he's been dating. Witness him on dates with a stupid one in the form of Aaliyah Love, a gold digger in the guise of Jessa Rhodes and a crazy one as played by Annika Albright. Each returns for plenty of carnal action while Martin deals with a beautiful competitor named Alexandra (Romi Rain) at their law firm in Eddie Powell's THE LAWS OF LOVE (2014, New Sensations-Romance) that is filmed in widescreen.

So, Martin is not too tired of the stupid one just yet so he gives Melanie (blonde and bubbly Aaliyah Love) a call. When she has a bit too much trouble finding his apartment, she ends up hooking up with Martin's neighbor named George (Van Wylde) then the duo suck and fuck on the couch of his apartment for a solid, night time, straight sex encounter.

Out and about, Martin and his coworker Simon (Logan Pierce) meet the gold digger Mariel (Jessa Rhodes) who runs off with Simon when she buys into his phony British royalty shtick. She figures it out later but decides to let her good time continue. The duo land on top and around a kitchen counter area for another solid sex scene with Jessa looking pretty incredible. Kudos to screen writer Brownie Garcia for giving Jessa more to do here than just her sucking and fucking. Her brief acting bit gives the character of Mariel an unexpected depth.

Martin and Alex (long black haired and big boobed Italian, Romi Rain) are competing to become a partner at the law firm where Christian (an incredibly miscast Mick Blue) is senior partner. Through a crack in the door to her boss's office, Alex spies on Christian while he fucks his new girlfriend, the crazy one, Daphne, (Annika Albright) on his office desk. Another solid straight sex encounter ensues then Alex is busted for spying on them. However, Martin comes to her rescue.

Later, sitting outside his apartment door, Alex and Martin deliberate over recent events, which leads to the duo landing in his bed for a wonderful evening suck and fuck session with solid chemistry between the two performers. Do the couple stay together? Stay tuned past the final sexual encounter to find out.

So, THE LAWS OF LOVE (2014, New Sensations-Romance) does a terrific job of merging Martin's rather shallow sexual past with his present desire to succeed in his job and find a mate in the process. As Martin, Ryan Mclane handles the rather tired, cynical lawyer character rather well and Romi Rain, as Alex, plays the smart, tough new lawyer in the firm with more than enough flair, but their coming together for the finale is what gives this romantic couples tale a special boost. Safe to say other porn actors might have made a mess of this flick. Maybe the main shortcoming is that all of these sex scenes, though well shot and staged, seem a bit too cookie-cutter, too all the same, as each straight sex encounter ends with pretty weak pop shot on the belly. Each couple seems to go through too similar of paces.

DVD extras include a 14 minute BTS split between the pairings of Ryan & Romi and Jessa & Logan plus a blooper reel, which is where Mick Blue's entire line-reading acting performance belongs. A brief photo gallery, pick your pleasure, 3 trailers, etc.
