This two-disc set couldn’t represent the love as a fan I have for Lana Rhoades enough. I appreciate a showcase like this focusing on the artistic vision of this girl’s sexual endeavors. With a muse like Lana Rhoades, Greg Lansky summoned her countless fans to the Galleria of great anal sex that is ‘Lana’. The proper care was taken in this story-driven tale starring Lana Rhoades and many other familiar faces as supporting roles or sexual co-stars. You’ll find the colossal talent Casey Calvert, for example, playing a non-sex role in Lana. It was a pleasure to see her face in this film. Penny Pax is here alongside Lana Rhoades with a sex role. Penny Pax plays Lana’s roommate who partakes in a threesome with Manual Ferrara in a scene. Adriana Chechik is present for the only girl/girl scene in ‘Lana’. The trio of swordsmen in this film contains Jean Val Jean, Manuel Ferrara, and John Johnson.

As I held the DVD box in my hand I noticed that trademark sleek design Tushy is known for. The simplistic design adds a sense of comfort especially with a logo I’m so familiar with. With a solid red background, you’ll see Lana Rhoades modeling beautifully in a frozen pose under the giant white Tushy logo. This glamour that my eyes are so used to consuming from Tushy is also attached to something greater which is an attempt to glamorize sleaze which is a feat in itself. To patronize elements of American culture in efforts of paying homage or pour us over with parody? That’s the question and that’s for art to decide. As for you the viewer just let the disc to spin and take it in. Now let us watch ‘Lana’.

Lana Rhoades is playing a character that is a law student facing the hustle of LA life as she intends to bolster her educational credentials. She is determined to succeed, especially as a young student who’s struggling with money and other day-to-day issues in this hustle and bustle life. Lana’s dialogue delivery is extremely believable to the character she is cast to play. Her narration during the transition of scenes only compliments the transitional dialogue between her co-stars. The plot moves with Lana recognizing her roommate’s lavish way of living. With seemingly an endless supply of the money that Kate spends, Lana begins to catch on. Her roommate, Kate, is played by Penny Pax who eventually begins to entice Lana into her lifestyle of “transactional relationships” for that much needed extra income.

The first scene and Lana’s first client is in the form of a boy/girl anal romp with Jean Val Jean. The scene starts off in Tushy’s typical elegant fashion. Both Lana and Jean Val Jean are sipping fine wine. “I felt a tingle down my spine..”, Lana narrates to us viewers. She describes how she’s turned on by the gifts Jean Val Jean surprised her with. A year has passed since she started this lifestyle of "transactional relationships" and she feels secure in herself. What happens next leads to a series of plot twists that I won't reveal which make 'Lana' such a visceral ride. The DP happy ending is here thankfully but not without deep narration from Lana Rhoades as to how she got here and where she is going. The artistic appeal isn't without an attempt at procuring a moment in a young girl's career for adult film historians to remember way down the road. Lanksy and his team have done this with Lana Rhoades' Tushy showcase. It's a DVD I'd love to see on my shelf to remind of what being a collector is all about.
