The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is very well done. It’s crisp, clear, and free of background noises. The video isn’t quite as good. It’s nicely lit, but has a little ghosting and a bit of grain.

Music: The music varies a little in balance throughout the movie. There’s a little fuck music during the tease, but none during the actual sex.

Menus: The menus are pretty good. The main menu nicely blends the cover with a bit of animation for a very nice first impression. The chapter menu is pretty basic and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a scene number.

The Feature

Jewel keeps things nice and simple in Interracial Lust. The scenes all focus on black guys with white chicks. There’s a little tease to start things off, and then things get right to the nasty interracial sex.

Scene 1 - Jewel De’Nyle and Sean Michaels

Jewel starts things out diddling herself while fantasizing about a big black cock, namely, Sean’s big black cock. Scene 2 - Lauren Phoenix and Darren James

The camera work is also balanced much better with a bit more of Mark. The only thing I can honestly say I didn’t like about this scene was Alicia’s fake eyelashes.

Scene 5 - Rio Mariah and Darren James

I don’t know that I’d finish the movie with this scene, as I think some of the others were much stronger, but it’s still a solid scene.

I think Interracial Lust is the first I’ve seen of Jewel De’Nyle’s work behind the camera, and it definitely gives a good first impression. She lets the scenes move at a leisurely pace, starting with a great tease and then moving on with some well balanced sex, but never so leisurely that they drag on. The scenes are simple and straightforward, but consistently hot. Every scene here should be good enough to get an interracial sex fan off, and Jewel’s balancing the sex throughout the scene should make many of those people free several nights to get through the movie. My biggest complaint with the feature was that the camera seemed afraid of the guys. This seems to be a common problem with porn today, and maybe it’s because I don’t look at it as something for the lonely guy to jerk off to. I think passionate sex will draw both sexes into watching, and I’m pretty sure that the women who watch porn want to see more than just the chick who’s getting banged. I’m not talking about an even split in front of the camera between the guy and the girl, but you shouldn’t feel like the cameraman is deliberately trying to avoid the guy. My other complaint is much more minor, and that’s that the movie limits itself to black guys and white or Latino chicks. I’d love to see things opened up with some white guys and black chicks, and maybe even throw in an Asian or Oriental women. As I said, it’s a minor complaint, and something I hope Jewel expands things with in future installments. In the end, I’m still more than happy with Interracial Lust, and it definitely has me looking forward to more of Jewel De’Nyle behind the camera.

The Extra Stuff

To start things off, a trailer is included for Wild On Sex 2. The photo gallery includes about thirty very nice looking full screen photos and snapshots. There’s also two minutes of cum shot recaps, a photo shoot featurette, and a behind the scenes featurette.

The photo shoot lasts eighteen minutes, and sadly the audio balance is a little off. You get to see Jewel working inside with Alicia, where it’s obvious that Jewel’s been there before and knows what she wants. Things move outside with Lauren where you hear Jewel put some nice technical care and thoughts into the shoot, and then continue on with Katja and Brian as well as Rio. It’s a decently done featurette, but nothing overly special.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts over an hour! Once again the audio balance seems a little off, but the video is very nice. Things start out focusing on Alicia. There’s a little interview with Alicia in the makeup chair where they talk about men and America before it switches to an interview with Jewel talking about Alicia. She moves on to talk about things such as her websites and talent scheduling before moving back to Alicia and Mark after the shoot. Things return to Jewel before her shoot with Sean Michaels as they relax and have a little fun, and then move on through shooting their scene and the photos. Lauren and Darren are next as they come inside and clean up. They work with Michael Stefano on their scene, and finish up their portion with a few thoughts after the shoot. Katja takes center stage next, as she talks about interracial sex, porn, and sex history. There’s even a little bit on what turns Brian on and a little rap of his after the scene. Rio and Darren check in next. You get a little of them setting up the scene, shooting the scene, and the aftershock of the scene, complete with a bit of Darren’s whining. Finally, you get to see a bit of a scene that didn’t make it into the movie with a guy and girl I don’t recognize. It’s easy to see why they didn’t make it, and you can also tell that Jewel doesn’t pull any punches.

This is a very nicely done behind the scenes featurette. It keeps a nice balance around the scenes and does a great job capturing the personalities of the stars. You can tell that sometimes a performer / director knows how to do things a little better than the formerly trained director, and also get a little feel that sometimes maybe there’s a little more respect from the performer knowing the director was once (or still is) in their shoes. The biggest surprise here was the amount of guidance and direction Michael Stefano appears to have done in the movie, although maybe that’s how Jewel and Michael worked together when they were married. Regardless, it’s a nice behind the scenes featurette that’s well worth checking out.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many Platinum X DVDs can be found online for between $15 and $25, with a good portion of the stores offering them for under $20. This one’s definitely worth the money. The sex is darn hot and there’s some great effort put into the extras. The video’s a bit weak, but this is still a DVD worth checking out!
