In Interracial
Lust's extensive Behind the Scenes section, director Jewel De'Nyle seems
pretty sure that she knows what's what when it comes to interracial porn.
So maybe this is the flick that's finally going to help me understand
the appeal of this genre.
The action follows a basic formula: each scene is white girl / black guy
and begins with a cut-up sequence of more "erotic" footage of the girl
posing, teasing, masturbating and smooching with her guy. Then we get
into the hardcore action with anal every time.
Jewel De'Nyle
In the case of producer/director/performer Jewel, the hardcore action
begins with her trying to swallow down Sean Michaels' cock. He smacks
her a couple of times and we can check that famous big butt of hers as
she climbs on top, instructing him to "pound it". Yes, ma'am! After a
quick blowjob, she takes is straight up the ass. Cue lots of squealing
as Jewel announces as "I'm going to have an anal orgasm!"
Jewel and Sean duly treat us to lots more strong, sweaty sex and oodles
of deep sodomy, with little details like spanking, toe sucking and ass-to-mouth
thrown in. Pile driver provides the final adventurous position before
she uses a combination of hand and mouth to get Sean to come on her face.
This scene is all about the demanding Ms De'Nyle showing just what she
can do, and she certainly gives it 100%, that's for sure. However, she
doesn't really do it for me. That's a personal thing; I dare say that
if you like her then you'll get more out of this scene.
Lauren Phoenix
After the opening montage, we find Darren James has his head between the
long legs of this youthful, loose-limbed and very sexy Canadian girl.
Lauren gives him some hearty oral in return before wriggling out of her
panties. It strikes me that she's not entirely dissimilar in physique
to Monica Sweetheart, which is clearly a good thing. Although her floral
dress gets in the way a little, you can check out her form during some
tasty fucking. Her best feature is her big bum, I feel, but it's slightly
disappointing we don't really get to see what she really looks like as
she has her eyes closed for much of the sex.
Speaking of which, the strong sex is causing Lauren's face to take on
a healthy flush (though it could be the lights). Spoons becomes anal and
the action continues at pace with lots of anal sex with Lauren on top.
She takes Darren's load in her mouth. This scene works on the level of
basic, earthy fucking but if you're looking for chemistry or more of the
performer's personality, it's not really apparent. Lauren was one of the
few good things about I Like It Black 2, where I first saw her, and as
this scene, like the rest, sweeps into the sex with no talk, it's disappointing
not to see more of her character.
Katja Kassin
This petite yet amazingly curvy German starlet is another with a beautiful
bottom. Once she's sucked Brian Pumper's dick, she adopts a great doggy
pose so he can lick her pussy and slide in his knob. Which is fine, but
really: look at that ass! That's what it's all about. Her sweet face screws
up as Brian fills her up. "I'd be a fool not to put you in this position,"
he says as she rides cowgirl. Pumper cracks me up every time, but he's

quieter moans and reactions feel more "real", like she isn't just playing
to the camera, but I find the lack of real chemistry or passion once again
has my attention wandering. Instead of creating a rapport with her, Brian
settles for spearing her bum, which is perhaps understandable. Lengthy
missionary anal is a case in point (nice toes, Katja!) and it delivers
no more than a weak load from Pumper.
Alicia Rhodes
The first hint of a serious vibe between a pair is clear in the opening
moments of this scene between the voluptuous English blonde Alicia and
Mark Anthony, as they kiss; he goes down and then slips into spoons. Besides
that, her legs and feet look wonderful in sheer black nylons! There's
a much more relaxed, natural feel to her performance than usual, which
is ironic considering that she claims, during the behind the scenes, to
have had to hold back from uttering her usual "nasty shit".
Alicia's big ass is up as she blows him, and then she rides him in cowgirl.
Her big natural breasts wobble in missionary. She does say some naughty
things to him, but these are seductively whispered as she invites him
to take her ass. Mark is a true gent and doesn't let the lady down, working
his way deep into her pulsing anus. Alicia's physique may be a touch Rubensesque
for some viewers but I find this one of the best scenes I've seen from
her. Let's not pretend this is soft (Mark is balls deep in her ass after
all), but the feel is laid back and the pair work so well together that
it all flows incredibly naturally with very few edits. A slightly weak
come shot seems tacked on at the end as an afterthought.
Rio Mariah
I enjoyed Rio in Full Anal Access and she looks good again, in black basque,
stockings and heels as Darren and she exchange oral pleasures. Darren
quickly turns the olive skinned Brazilian brunette into doggy and starts
fucking her at pace. It's quickly apparent this is going to be one of
those "shut up and do it" numbers but it's good, and they do click together
on that level, if nothing more.
From reverse cowgirl, she spins round on his knob to cowgirl. There's
a little spanking and lots of energetic screwing. Rio works her plump
little rump, which predictably enough ends up being speared, in spoons
as it happens. The anal sex is quite robust and Rio seems quite absorbed.
There's a great shot as she backs up her ass in doggy and good clear shots
of reverse cowgirl anal before the come shot is again done as an afterthought
in a completely separate shot.
Overall
Well, even after taking in Interracial Lust and its prolonged Behind the
Scenes featurette, I am only a little closer to understanding the appeal
of interracial porn. Jewel's idea that black on white presents an appealing
aesthetic contrast, that it simply looks sexy seems a comfortable explanation
but one that also seems too feeble to have spawned and sustained this
genre - Katja makes a comment that seems closer to the uncomfortable truth.
I fear the reality only leads to some ugly stereotypes.
Whatever, this is really a very sound anal porn flick and if you have
a stronger feeling for interracial than I do then maybe you'll get more
from that aspect. For, me it makes not one iota of difference that the
performers come from different races. If Jewel has such a strong feeling
for what's hot about white girls lusting after black men, and isn't just
doing this to meet a market demand, then I find it slightly surprising
that this is very much a movie where a real emotion like "lust" comes
a poor second to professional performers having professional sex shot
in a professional way, by Michael Stefano as it happens.
His input is possibly significant, but whatever; it's a solid piece of
work that covers all the bases, ticks all the boxes and does this sort
of sex about as well as it can be done. The intro to each scene hints,
and I emphasise hints, at a more passionate approach to the sex
that, for me, is only carried on during the sex in Alicia's scene. I'd
like to see the promise of "lust", Interracial or otherwise, being fulfilled
with more effort made to create passion and chemistry rather than making
sure the required positions have been filled.
DVD Comments
The picture quality is good, very bright and sharp, perhaps almost too
sharp and tending towards harshness. The sound is fine with no noticeable
issues. The best feature of the disc is a one-hour behind the scenes clip,
though it's slightly annoying that it's been authored in one chapter only.
This backstage footage is quite revealing, though we never exactly find
out what happened to Brian Pumper and the box cover shot Jewel's talking
about. I suspect that Alicia scene worked out better with Mark than it
would have done with Brian. There's also a little footage of a scene that
apparently had to be abandoned, with two nameless people whose clumsy
efforts are almost painful to watch. There's also a twenty-minute short
showing the photo shoots, the usual photo gallery and a cum-shot recap.
There's plenty of value in this package.
