It is impossible not to be familiar with the name Angela White. The Australian-born performer, director, producer, editor, writer, and many more hats I've left out who runs her own studio has been taking the industry by storm. Whether Angela White is performing in a scene for her own company or someone else, viewers and critics alike rave about her performance and chemistry. I am Angela is the brain-child of Evil Chris and the second in his series of I am movies (the first being I am Katrina showcasing Katrina Jade).

I am Angela isn't your typical star showcase and, to be quite honest, should set the bar for what a showcase movie is all about. I am Angela does triple duty as a movie. It is a documentary, an all-sex movie, and is a behind the scenes movie all in one. In a way, Evil Chris' I am series has managed to create what the Deep Inside series of old claimed to be despite often being fictional. I am Angela offers a view into Angela White in a way that no other adult movie ever could.

I am Angela is a documentary. The movie begins with Angela White telling everyone what she was like as a child, how she started in the adult industry, and why she branched off on her own. Angela White is an excellent focus for a documentary. She is sex-positive, porn-positive, and very well spoken. She clearly loves her work, and it shows throughout this documentary. Other parts of Angela's life are on display as well including the all-important testing of talent. This reviewer loves a good porn documentary, and I am Angela pays off in that department.

I am Angela is an all-sex movie. There are four sex scenes included in I am Angela, each one featuring Angela White and a different legendary director directs each one. The four directors that each direct one of the sex scenes are Jonni Darkko, Dana Vespoli, Joey Silvera, and John Stagliano. As a result of this, each scene in the movie is unique since each one of these directors has their own visual styling; this also keeps the movie feeling fresh.

This reviewer also wants to give a big kudos to Evil Angel, Angela White, and Joey Silvera for including a transgender scene in a mainstream adult movie of this stature. Including transgender scenes in mainstream movies will help remove the stigma that transgender performers have, and transgender movies have; this isn't the first time Angela White has helped lift the stigma from topics people don't often talk about in public. Her Pure Taboo short film The Weight of Infidelity, which Angela White wrote and performed in, brought out in the open the topics of body image and body shaming.

I am Angela is a behind the scenes movie. As a lead-in to each sex scene included in I am Angela, and occasionally before lead-in, an in-depth look is given to the scene. From Angela White and Joanna Angel shopping for anal toys for their scene by and with Dana Vespoli, to Angela White discussing transgender porn, to a look into the pre-shoot with clothing, make-up, and director instructions, I am Angela gives the viewer a good look at what goes into preparing for and shooting a sex scene.

I am Angela ultimately ends up being far more than just the sum of all the pieces put together. Not only does the viewer leave with a strong understanding of Angela White, but also that of many of her costars, insight into the different directors that directed the sex scenes in the movie and how they go about creating their unique visions, and for the adult movie industry as a whole.

Honestly, if you have read to this point and any one of these descriptions of I am Angela interests you, then I am Angela is a movie that you should watch. Evil Chris has managed to integrate all the portions of the movie into one flowing coherent work which not only highlights Angela White the performer but also highlights Angela White the person. I am Angela is highly recommended.

Evil Angel has done a nice job with their two DVD release of I am Angela. The movie spans both discs with all of the extras on disc 2. I am Angela was shot digitally in 4K and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 in 480p. The picture on the disc looks beautiful with no blemishes and beautiful vibrant color. There isn't any reason why anyone would be upset with the image quality on the release. There is an Evil Angel Films bug in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen throughout the movie.

I am Angela is presented with an English Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo audio track. There aren't any issues at all with the audio presentation. The dialog in the movie is clear and easy to understand at all times. The sound is good throughout the movie.

Evil Angel hasn't included many extras on the release. There is a seven-minute cumshot recap video, and there is also a sexual performer cast list by scene.

I am Angela is an excellent documentary/all sex/behind the scenes movie all-in-one from Evil Chris. I am Angela gives the viewer a unique look into who Angela White is as a person and as a performer, and also presents the viewer with four sex scenes from legendary adult directors all featuring Angela White. I am Angela shouldn't be missed.
