Hustler Platinum: Happy Birthday Review

Do you enjoy Pierre Woodman's movies? Are you a fan of his Private epics, where beautiful women are lovingly shown have deep anal intercouse? If so, I have great news, Woodman these days is a free agent who shoots his movies for his own company, "Tanawood" (his wife is Latvian cutie Tania Russof, who works as makeup artist on his sets, combine her name with his and you get the company title) before selling it to a distributor. While much of his work still goes to Private, he releases the rest through Larry Flint and Hustler.

Happy Birthday was actually lensed as far back as November 1999, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (not Spain, as has been listed elsewhere) about the same time Woodman shot the awesome Madness 1 and 2 there. Some of the cast is back, and most action takes place at aspectacular seaside mansion that offers stunning ocean vistas.

Has Woodman ever made a movie without Alain Deloin (or as he calls him, Akim)? I doubt it, and Deloin again has the male lead, playing an auto mechanic. Local actress Ksandara shows up at his garage to collect her repaired motorcycle, and offers her body as partial payment. Deloin has been dubbed with an awful voiceover that sounds like a bad John Wayne imitator (the rest of the voices are better). "Well, I'll take you up on that, pard'ner," he almost says. They proceed to fuck on her bike, and here a good feature of Hustler titles comes into play. Each scene is subdivided into multiple chapters, labelled by the type of action (making it easy to cruise from scene to scene checking out all the anal, for example).

Ksandara isn't bad looking, but isn't of the same calibre as the Euro hotties to follow. She does give off good energy, and has some fun, including a brief anal, but this is a largely forgettable introduction (it would be the highlight in most American movies). The only notable feature is that when she gets her shirt off, and rides Deloin reverse cowgirl, we see that she has Prince's uni-gender symbol tattoed above her navel.

Stunning Judith Fox is the next customer, she shows up to drop off her husband's Mercedes for service. Judith is a really youthful find of Woodman's, she memorably played the vengeful daughter in Madness and appears in much of his recent work (such as No Sun, No Fun). Judith is an amazing combination of slender and curvy, with very toned leg and arm muscles. She's anyone's dream, and Deloin agrees to do his best work on the car. She takes a taxi to a relative's house, where guests are arriving. Her birthday party will be tomorrow. One clumsy (or clever?) guest spills his drink on her, and leads her to a room for a change of clothes. He and we get to see her strip naked, which is a glorious sight!

Out in the garden, Aunt Katyzora and her friend Tavalia get frisky with their beaus, and we get to watch. Tavalia is the Kiwi veteran of countless anal movies, and I'm not much of a fan, but here she looks amazing, with a tight, toned, very tan body. Katyzora is a near clone, and the two look great getting analled in various positions.

Judith goes next door, to the incredible mansion she shares with her parents and husband (Bob Terminator, another Woodman regular). We meet her dad Laslie, who doesn't perform sexually, and her step-mom, Szylvia, who does. We can tell that Bob and Szylvia are money grubbing boors, so it is no surprise that the two slip off to the garden for a vigorous fuck, while Judith goes for a topless ocean swim. Szylvia is a bit older than the typical porn chick,a nd has unflattering short hair, but has kept her body toned, and her natural large breasts are lovely. Bob takes her deep in anal to finish a long scene.

Meanwhile, Judith is accidentally snared by fisherman "JPX" who jokes that she must be a mermaid. Don't mermaids always pleasure men, he asks her? He eats her out before she blows him, and then swims off.

Family friends Sylvia and Franck Major arrive for the party, and are shown to their room. Before they get busy, we see Deloin arrive home, where his gorgeous young wife is waiting. She sits in bed painting her toenails, something I always find incredibly erotic to watch. Deloin makes a some crude comments that get her out of the mood, so unusually for a Woodman movie, he apologizes and agrees to pleasure her first. I believe Beata usually works under another name, regardless, she's quite young, with a perfect body, pretty face, and good attitude. The scene is shot in moonlight, as she and Deloin gradually get romantic (as romantic as aggressive anal can be).

Next morning, Sylvia and Franck wake up, and proceed to their patio to fuck in the glorious dawn sunshine. She's a tall, athletically bodied brunette, and we get to see her body from every angle, including reverse cowgirl anal. She shows very good energy and enthisiasm, I want to see her again!

Judith has observed her friend from a distance, and invites her to accompany her morning jog. Some distance away, they approach a scenic overlook, and stay back in the trees when they realize that a couple has arrived there to watch the sun rise and get romantic. Yann Scott sweet talks his girlfriend Katalyn, and they then suck and fuck on the hood of their jeep. I didn't care for her short hair, but she's yet another amazing body, and looks very good in every position, including doggy anal.

Judith and Sylvia were turned on, so back home they slip off to the jacuzzi to explore each other. This isn't anything special as far as lesbo action goes, but is mainly an excuse to once again show off the two stunning bodies. Judith does seem to enjoy a bit of G-G now and then, she helped Woodman film and fuck Adrienne Klass in a scorching casting session in Superfuckers 3.

While Judith's biirthday party takes place, Deloin arrives with the fixed car. He went out of his way to deliver it, since Judith made such an impression. Hubby Bob insults him, making an ass of himself. Judith realizes she has no future with this creep, and visits Deloin the next day to offer aopologies for how he was treated. She asks him to fiddle with Bob's car, and he redily agrees. So the next morning, Bob heads off to work, and crashes when his brakes strangely no longer works. Judith rewards Deloin with a long, intense, passionate fuck in her bed. Judith doesn't always give up her ass, but does so readily here, and looks simply amazing in her only full-on scene of this movie.

Szylvia can figure out what is up, and wants revenge for Bob, so as Judith stretches (showing off that killer bod one more time), she pushes her off a ledge to her death. This is a typical Woodman moment, and ends one his best projects ever.

Even the women I didn't personally care for, such as Szylvia, Tavalia, and Katalyn, performed very well. Happy Birthday is a non-stop parade of beautiful female flesh, all shot in perfect clarity and detail against a scenic backdrop. If you are a Woodman fan, this belongs in your collection. If you are new to his work, rent this and see for yourself what the hype is about. Even if you decide that you don't care for his style, you'll get your money's worth in the tease footage. This one left me feeling happy to be alive.

The DVD includes a short slide show with very high quality photos, a few next to worthless promos for other Hustler product, and some BS phone sex ads. The real bonus is the subdivided chapters, other extras are unnecessary in a feature of this quality.
