Hot Gun Review

1986 was a banner year for movies. The Summer of that year was no exception as there were quite a few movies that really got the public's attention.

One of them was the blockbuster Top Gun that starred Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis. That movie ruled the Summer of 1986 and continued being shown in numerous theaters well after the Summer of that year ended, with 1987 New Year's Day double features in some cities paired with other blockbuster films of the same year of various titles. Where I live, a local bargain movie cinema paired it with The Karate Kid Part II.

While that particular film was still playing in theaters, Caballero released this porn parody of that film titled Hot Gun, which helped influence porn flick making for the future as numerous porn parody flicks would be made parodying mainstream movies that were blockbusters or just popular with people, which made this flick ahead of its time in some ways.

At this prestigious flight school, those who are being trained to fly the mighty skies have many other things on their minds. In particular, sex and lusting with each other. Lt. Douglas "Zapper" Curtis is no exception as he always keeps a lustful on the sexy looking Jackie hoping to show her what he's got. Jackie is reluctant when it comes to him, but he never gives up. There is also a nice dream sequence where one of the female pilots is fantasizing about being in a tent pleasing an Arabian man. Later on, Jackie warms up to Zapper and discovers how much a real man he really is, which makes them both satisfied.

In the wake of Top Gun's blockbuster success, Hot Gun was released in the Autumn of that same year. It was simply for this porn flick distributor to try and see if can make a porn flick equivalent of that 1986 Summer blockbuster. IMHO, they succeeded in all of its artistic merit.

Hot Gun is a solid porn flick. It has some hot sex and some pretty good acting by its cast. The actors are very convincing and also, the sex scenes are also very convincing. By watching this, you know that these actors are having a wonderful time doing this flick and their enthusiasm is truly showing here in this flick. They are really having a good time here letting it all out. Hot Gun is also entertaining in its own way and doesn't disappoint.

Hot Gun was not only with the times but was also ahead it's time in some ways as in the future, numerous porn parody flicks would be made and released in its wake and several others before it, such as 1976's "Alice in Wonderland", which starred Kristen De Bell.

I bought this on DVD a long time ago and I reacquainted myself with it several months ago. Still a fun, sexy and entertaining porn flick. It is also well worth owning so it can be enjoyed again and again. I highly recommend this flick as it is a wonderful flick.
