NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies don’t have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. I’m rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The performers also aren’t normally the ‘glamour stars’ one expects from studio porn, and instead use people who look like somebody you might encounter in your day to day life. Finally, the camera work has a different feel, as it’s often shot from a tripod or with somebody who doesn’t have the technical training or experience of professional cameramen. That said, amateur and homemade features have a great charm to them, simple because the people in them are doing what they’re doing to have fun and because they enjoy it. All the things that separate them from studio porn contribute to that charm, I hope people will keep that in mind when checking out this review and not just look at the ratings as the ultimate word on this release. Since the technical aspects are normally lacking and there normally isn’t much for extras in amateur features, I’ve weighted my overall rating more heavily towards the sex than I do in most studio porn.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are okay. The audio is a bit scratchy and the balance leaves a bit to be desired. During the outdoor portion of the scene the cars are at the same level as the performers. The video is lit fairly well, especially when natural lighting is used, but there’s some noticeable pixelation through the entire movie.

Menus: The main menu has a generic and simple feel, but still gave me a good feeling going into this DVD. The main menu has a bit of animation but looks pretty generic. The chapter menu is very plain, and lets you choose a place in the movie based on a still from each chapter.

The Feature

Hal starts things out talking to his buddy with a camera. Hazel, a cute short haired eighteen year old bottle blonde, wants to have sex with him, just not on camera. So Hal wants his buddy to hide inside and videotape it without her knowing.

Scene 1 - Hazel and Hal Maroon

Hazel and Hal start things out chatting at a table on Hal’s patio. They help each other strip down before Hazel takes Hal’s meat in her mouth and throat. She also lets Hal fuck her nicely natural breasts before lying back on the table and letting him eat her pussy. He plays with it a bit also before letting Hazel suck it again. Hal lets Hazel slide his rubber on and then has her bend over the table so he can fuck her from behind. They take the tablecloth into the yard for Hazel to ride Hall cowgirl style, and after a few minutes she appears to have a nice orgasm riding him. This is a pretty good scene. Hazel has a nice look to her, and it starts to let you forget about Hal’s 80s rock band reject look. They seem to be into each other pretty good, and Hazel has a great look of natural enjoyment about her. The camera work is pretty good, and does a good job of playing with the “Hazel doesn’t know” idea that the movie starts with while getting enough shots that you can tell that she’s more than willing to be filmed. There is a bit of camera motion and obstructed shots, but it normally works pretty well here in working towards Hazel not knowing about the camera. The scene is also nicely drawn out without getting so long that it bogs down. This is a pretty hot scene.

Scene 2 - Hazel

Hal follows Hazel into the shower with his camera next. They talk about sex and masturbation as Hazel showers, as well as Hazel peeing. She supposedly pees in the shower without telling anybody, and then tries again on the toilet when Hal asks to watch it. She isn’t able to, and the scene ends soon after.

This is a nice little endcap on the movie. It’s not really that sexual, but it does give a nice feeling for Hazel the person. She comes off as fun and playful talking to Hal, as well as a bit of a geek (and I mean that in the good way). This scene isn’t much for stroke material, but it is kinda fun.

Hazel: 18 and Eager is a pretty good little amateur movie. Hazel has a cute look and looks to naturally enjoy sex. I can’t say that I liked the non-consensual filming idea at the start of the movie, but thankfully it was made pretty clear early on that Hazel was more than in on it. Hal comes off a bit egotistical at times, but at the same time he does seem concerned about making Hazel’s sexual experience a good one. Hazel: 18 and Eager is a pretty good amateur movie, but nothing overly special.

There’s nearly eleven minutes of trailers. There’s also a photo gallery lasting about a minute and a half with about seven seconds per decent looking full screen photo.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, HomeSexTapes.com DVDs can be found online for around $20. To me, this is way high for what you get here so I’d suggest renting this one first. The sex is pretty good, but far from great. The technical aspects are also pretty good, but there isn’t much real effort put into the extras (just like with most amateur releases). This is a pretty average amateur release.

Note to Hal Maroon: It’s nice to see you trying to be a little creative with the setups. I can’t say that I cared for this setup, but then it was nice you made it clear that it was just playing around.
