Grindhouse XXX 2 Review

Tarantino XXX does a nice job of giving this movie a classic grindhouse feel to it, from the music to the graphics and intermissions that are shown between scenes. This is one of the most unique looking porn films that I have seen in some time. It is apparent that everyone involved with this production put a lot of heart and energy into making this happen and worked with the resources that were available.

Now, this definitely has the look and feel of a cheesy, low budget, B-film from the 70s which is kind of the point. There is very little plot and dialogue to speak of as most of the scenes are separated with brief character interactions that accomplish very little in terms of narrative and character development. But it is the style that is captivating and allows you to overlook its flaws.

One thing that stands out in this film is the quality of the performances by the cast, each scene has an amateur, but classic style to it that makes it seem more raw and real than you normally see from the mainstream films. Performers Nina Hartley, Tori Avano, Lotus Lain, Katrina Zova, Zoey Portland, and Mikki Lynn all put in solid performances that are able to carry the film and make it enjoyable.

Overall, this has the look and feel of a low-budget independent porn film but solid and consistent scenes make this an entertaining movie to watch. So if you are a fan of grindhouse films or just want to see something different, I recommend checking out Grindhouse XXX 2.
