Pre-Viewing Expectations
Public nudity and flashing, of course. Aren't they pretty much all any guy thinks about when thinking of Mardi Gras?
The Main Event
Movie starts out with a guy holding a sign that says "Show us dem tits", and show them they do. Big tits, small tits, firm tits, droopy tits, skinny tits, fat tits, young tits (all are 18 or older, how they checked this, I don't know), old tits, if they are tits, they are here. Women flashing their tits for a string of beads. Some would even drop trow and show off their pussy and ass for the fancier strings of beads. It is amazing what these women would do for beads. Of couse, alcohol is a factor, lowing their inahibitions. The movie is a montage of scenes from the 1999 Mardi Gras. The scenes are shot of women on the street, in bars, on balconies, and in hotel windows showing their wares to the general public. There are scenes from both daytime and nighttime. Usually, around the women, there are plenty of guys hoping for a gander, or with cameras at the ready to snap a shot. There's also a fair amount of video cameras around, which is how this footage was captured. And with any group of drunk people, throw in some female nudity, and there's going to be some groping going on, whether welcomed or not. Most of these girls are too drunk to even notice. Some of the guys are so bold as to start sucking on an exposed nipple, often generating little reaction from the women. There is one scene of a woman who is totally nude, with body paint on in the form of a tiger's head. The tiger's eyes are her nipples, and its tongue is her pussy. It is a very fancy paint job, and a very nice look indeed. I wonder if this style will ever catch on with the desingers of Paris or New York. Doubtful, but nice to dream, isn't it? There are a few other painted breasts shown, but none as fancy as the tiger. At one point, there is a preacher going through the crowd dragging a cross, trying to sway the sinners. Also, the camera man is brow beat by a coed saying he's a pervert and should be ashamed of himself. Sadly, she doesn't let it all hang out for the camera. The feature ends with a scene I would rather they had left out. It is shot during the daytime, down a dead end side street. There is a drunk woman trying to pee into an empty beer bottle standing on the sidewalk. She manages to get a bit into the bottle, but most ends up on the concrete. She then picks up the bottle, and drinks the contents.
The Details
The footage is shot with a home video camera, so the video quality is average. There are a lot of cuts because this is a montage. And because this is shot on location, and the locations vary, so does the audio. Most of the audio on the streets is fine, but horribly captured when inside the bar. I was tempted to hit mute it was so bad, but opted to turn it way down instead.
Conclusion
This movie delivers what it promises, the girls of Mardi Gras. Since they are all girls off the streets, you take the pretty with the not so pretty, the young with the not so young, and the slender with the not so slender. But for those not willing, or unable, to tend with the large crowds, the pickpockets, and drunks puking on your shoes, this is as close as you can get to seeing the public flashing that is so prevalant at Mardi Gras. The overall rating given this feature doesn't add up to the ratings given individual parts, mainly because the scale given, for instance sex rating, doesn't really apply to this type of film, and "N/A" was not one of the choices.
