Initial Expectations: I've heard some pretty darn good things about this one and can't help but look forward to it.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very well done. The audio is well balanced and free of background noises, but the music often comes across way too heavily. The video is very nicely presented in anamorphic widescreen, which is a very nice surprise. There's great care put into the lighting and just a touch of grain for a softness that helps the artistic feel of the movie.

Music: The music has a hard driving feel for the most part and is overly loud. I'm positive it didn't help the movie out for me, and went between having a neutral and negative effect on the scenes instead.

Menus: The main menu very nicely works through some animation before bringing out some nicely simple choices. The animation continues nicely into the chapter menu, but then it sadly goes generic by just letting you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number.

The Feature

FUCK traces the origins of sex through the ages. From primitive warrior times to Victorian times to the possible future it moves around the world watching sexuality emerge and grow.

Scene 1 – Exotica, Lori Lust, and Tommy Gunn

Warriors Exotica and Lori, both in shiny womanly armor with swords, take on Tommy, as fucking as a source of pleasure is born in all its primal goodness. This is an above average scene. It has some great visuals and looks like it was more than a little difficult to shoot with some of the costumes. That said, the artistic feeling of the scene really interfered with the sexual feeling of the scene of the scene with the action repeatedly being interrupted for the three of them to model with their weapons. I can appreciate this scene artistically and think it shows some very good skill of the performers being able to fuck as well as they did with their costumes, but sexually it just didn't do much for me.

Scene 2 – Ice La Fox, Eric Masterson, Marcus Longon, Mario Rossi, and Tommy Gun with the helping hands of Carmen Hart and Jeneveve Jolie

Ice, as six armed Kali, waves her arms around before the four masked men around her move in to let her suck and stroke them. This is an okay scene. Once again, it's very artistic and that artistic look worked much better for me here. The scene has a fun feeling due to the scene being done around a six armed woman, but being more than a little picky when it comes to oral scenes, this one didn't do a lot for me.

Scene 3 – Clara G., Felecia, jessica drake, and Katsumi

As time moved on, women became more of a prized possession and treated by some like dolls. Victorian looking Clara, Felecia, and Katsumi, watch as a huge jessica makes miniature versions of them emerge from herself. This scene left me a bit bored. The costumes and set were extremely impressive and the idea is good, but the opening sequence was drawn out so far that I wondered if it was going to go the entire scene without showing as much as a nipple. When the sex finally arrived the artistic feel once again didn't do much for me and left me not caring at all about the action despite the girls getting in some very nice anal play. I just couldn't get into this scene.

Scene 4 – Carmen Hart, Katsumi, Kirsten Price, Mia Smiles, Chris Cannon, Eric Masterson, Randy Spears, and Tommy Gunn

As Eric, Chris, Randy, and Tommy wait at a table, servants bring women down on platters for them to feat on sexually. They get some kissing out of the way right away so the girls can start sucking cock. This scene didn't allow much of that and the fast clips around the table never really allowed much heat to build for me. There's some impressive aspects to this scene, and the cast did look to get into it pretty good, but as a whole it just didn't do too much for me.

Scene 5 – Trina Michaels, Mr. Marcus, and Sean Michaels

When women like Trina started to realize the power they had, they started to dress like it with plenty of jewels along with sexy robes. FUCK is all about style, and how well that style works for you is going to dictate how well you get into the movie. For me, I could appreciate the style but not really get into it. There are plenty of fantastic visuals throughout the movie, and Armstrong really went all out with the art direction. It looks like Wicked spared him no expense, and it goes from the costumes right through the CG effects with none of them looking cheap or shoddy as people often think of porn being. Although all that can be darn cool, here it was the downfall of the movie as much as anything. Yes, the effects were great, but the editing jumped around with the action and clips of the costumes, settings, and effects so much that it often killed the heat in the scenes for me. There wasn't a single scene here where I was really gripped by the sex, and some of them left me completely bored. In fact, the sex in FUCK seemed secondary to the art direction throughout the entire movie, and it never seemed like anybody ever asked “But is it hot?” while instead focusing on “That looks cool.”. FUCK is extremely impressive visually, but the art suffocated the sex for me.

The Extra Stuff

A second DVD is devoted entirely to extras with no extras being included on the first DVD. Trailers are included for FUCK, The Visitors, Manhunters, Hook-Ups 10, Curse Eternal, 3 Wishes, Just Like That, Supernatural, Naked Illusions, and Tiffany's. Star stats are included for with each lovely lady getting a photo from the movie, a little personal information, and a Wicked filmography. There are also several behind the scenes featurettes, bonus scenes, photo shoots, Easter Eggs (such as a Mark Stone interview with Katsumi), and of course, commercials.

Several photo galleries are also included, all of which are presented in anamorphic widescreen. The main photo gallery lasts just over seven minutes while star galleries lasting between about two and two and a half minutes are included for the entire female cast. In all of the galleries, you get about six seconds per okay looking snapshot or framed photo.

The behind the scenes sex reel lasts about twelve and a half minutes and is presented in the non-anamorphic widescreen format. This segment nicely works through extra footage scene by scene. It mixes both footage that looks like it came right out of the final cut of the movie with segments that were cut due to reasons such as other cameras being in the shot as well as comments from the crew. This is a pretty good featurette that's pretty much just as strokeworthy as the main feature.

The Girls of FUCK lasts a little over five minutes. As usual, this is a music only featurette looking at the still photos being shot that's nicely broken down girl by girl. It's presented in anamorphic widescreen, but also looks like somebody screwed up the authoring and took a non-anamorphic featurette and then authored it into anamorphic widescreen as the black bars are at the top and bottom of the screen and the aspect ratios of the girls just don't look quite right. This featurette just don't look right.

All Access: The Making of FUCK lasts a little over a half hour and is presented in non-anamorphic widescreen. It works through the movie scene by scene showing the scenes being shot mixed with a little interaction between the cast and Brad Armstrong as well as comments from Brad Armstrong about what they're trying to do. You also get a little of the cast as they're prepping for scenes, but that's about it. Once again, this is a major disappointment for a behind the scenes featurette. Yes, you do get a little personality from the stars, but Mark Stone is behind the camera and he used to always get great interviews with the performers. For some reason Wicked seems to have stopped that and instead went to just showing the scenes in the movie being shot while letting you see the cameraman and hearing the director talk. To me, this makes for one heck of a boring behind the scenes featurette, and that left me very happy I had a remote control here.

Bonus Scene 1 – jessica drake and Eric Masterson

The first bonus scene comes from Curse Eternal and is presented in non-anamorphic widescreen. Jessica starts things out looking a bit bookish in pinstriped pants, a button down shirt, and glasses with her hair pulled up giving Eric a kiss. The second bonus scene comes from Made in the USA and is presented in anamorphic widescreen. The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Wicked's DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $25 with a few stores offering them at the low end. Rent this one first or aim low. The movie has some great visuals, but the sex almost always left a bit to be desired. The technical aspects are nicely done, and there's some nice effort put into the extras as well. This is a pretty good double DVD set.

Note to Wicked: It was great to see you giving this one an anamorphic transfer. It just wouldn't have been the same in non-anamorphic.
