Friends With Benefits (Wicked Pictures) Review

Jessica (Jessica Drake) and her co-worker Tom (Kris Slater) decide to pursue a friends-with-benefits relationship in, duh, FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS (2011, Wicked Pictures) that also includes scenes with other Wicked contract performers Kaylani Lei and Alektra Blue. Francois Clousot directs and Jessica Drake performs in two similar sex scenes that bookend this rather flimsy romantic comedy that abandons it's two main characters in order to present a few other sex scenes with minor characters. Still, each scene is well-staged and photographed with attention paid to each interior setting that gives a different night-time vibe. So, as a slightly amusing 1 hour 35 minute couples flick, it's fine but the slacker script detracts. Wide screen. Condoms used except during most blow jobs.

Jessica dreams that Robert (Rocco Reed) proposes to her after the duo suck and fuck. (Standard night time encounter between Jessica and Rocco Reed, who also perform together in the bonus scene---!! 1/2)

Later Jessica naively thinks that Robert will propose to her at dinner but quite the opposite. He says some shitty things then dumps her. A broken-hearted Jessica tries to call her co-worker Tom (Kris Slater) but he's busy sucking and fucking his too-crazy-for-him girlfriend (the lovely Cassandra Cruz in a solid scene with a Latin beat---!!!) who enters into an argument that splits up the duo.

Jessica and Tom share their recent relationship troubles and decide to have sex with each other but "skip the drama." Jessica climbs on Tom while in her pajamas but the action shifts to the newsroom office setting where the duo work. At this halfway point in the flick, the main characters are abandoned in favor of sex scenes between characters that inhabit their work environment. New girl Suzie (sexy Kaylani Lei) hits on Tom but turns her attention to the young boss Randy (Dane Cross) who takes her to his office. (Kaylani and Dane perform in this solid night-time office fuck with Kaylani pulling off the condom to suck Dane's prick plus Dane sucking Kaylani's twat mid-scene. Upright doggy and reverse cowgirl in the chair are the other scene highlights that conclude with a cum shot dropped on her tits followed by nice after suck---!!!)

Tom angers Jessica when he decides to have a guy's night out with George (Barrett Blade) who has a thing for a stripper. At the strip club, George ends up proposing to the stripper (Alektra Blue) who says "yes" and "yes" to sucking and fucking on a couch in the club. (It's a bit rougher straight sex scene that features titty fucking and a swallowed cum shot for the finale. Alektra looks great here---!!!)

Tom returns from the strip club and professes that he wants more than a friends-with-benefits relationship with Jessica. Lusher orchestrated music then piano accompany the duo kissing then popular music plays during this final suck and fuck scene. (Jessica and Kris are fine here and Clousot captures the action in solid fashion but this romantic finale should have had something more dynamic occurring to separate it from the vibe of the opening dream sequence sex scene---!! 1/2)

So, FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS (2011, Wicked Pictures) is a pleasant romantic comedy that follows the recent Wicked template with a flimsy story that diverts from main character to sex scenes with minor characters. These sex scenes with minor characters could have been presented in the feature as extended blow job sequences instead of full blown sex scenes then presented in the extras in full blown fashion. Instead, the sex scenes are too similar and diminishes the narrative impact of what occurs between the main characters. As is, the flick benefits from Clousot's all-around solid presentation and gets a final rating of !!! outta !!!!!
