Blu-Ray vs. DVD: As usual with Digital Playground's DVD + Blu-Ray Combo packs, you get the same movie and behind the scenes featurettes just with the higher quality audio and video that Blu-Ray allows. There's also a different menu style which works very well for me, fourteen trailers instead of eight, and the photo gallery is only available as a slide show.

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very well done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I didn't notice any background noises. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks great. There's a great touch of grey that works into much of the picture along with a very slight touch of grain that gives the presentation an extra stylistic touch as well as some very good depth. Add that to Robby D.'s usual solid camera work and you have a movie that both looks and sounds fantastic.

The Movie: Discipline. Focus. Respect, both for yourself and from others. Fighters easily has the best performance I've seen from any of them, and there's no question about whether or not Jesse and Kayden put in a lot of time preparing for their roles here. They each turn out an excellent performance that's as physical as it is emotional for Kayden and Jesse, and they each turn out some very hot sex. They're nicely backed by Stoya as Kayden's rich bitch friend and Riley Steele as Jesse's sister, along with Vicki Chase, Bibi Jones, and Scott Nails. Although Bibi's mostly a sexual role here, she's also a key part to Jesse's puzzle and plays her part with just the right attitude. Stoya's fantastic in her supporting role as the rich bitch who uses sex as a tool and a toy, and the interaction between her and Vicki makes each of them a very nice part of the movie rather than just throw away characters in the background. Sexually the movie also works very well, with well captured sex as well as great chemistry. It works into the story nicely for the most part, with only Riley's scene with Ramon feeling a bit forced in. If there's a complaint about the movie it's in Riley having a scene with Ramon rather than letting a little something develop between her and Marco Rivera at the gym. Besides the emotional depth that the cast brought to this release, the thing that impressed me most about Fighters was the big fight you knew the movie was working towards between Jesse and Kayden and how much it worked as an individual, personal matter rather than just being about who wins and who loses. Although I'm sure some will disagree with me on this, I loved how the fight ended, along with the nice twist at the end of the movie. Fighters is an amazing adult feature that's easily one of the best releases to come out of 2011.

The Extras: As usual with Digital Playground's “Mega-Releases”, a second DVD is included for the extras. Trailers are included for eight other Digital Playground releases. The photo gallery can be viewed either one still at a time or as a slide show lasting four minutes. There's also a behind the scenes featurette, deleted scenes, bloopers, and contact information.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts twenty eight minutes. The girls start out talking about the story before Jamal chats with the cast about their roles in the movie. There's a little boxing footage with Kayden and Charles before Bibi and Riley chat with Jamal and have a little fun. Of course there's also plenty of Jesse, who talks about how difficult the role was for her as well as playing to the camera a bit. There's also plenty of time around the gym and training, as well as fun around the set. Jamal moves around the set chatting with the cast about random subjects as well as capturing some of the scenes being shot and the cast (especially Bibi) fooling around. This is a nicely done behind the scenes featurette. As usual with Digital Playground's BTS featurettes you get plenty of fun and eye candy, as well as a bit of the making of the movie. Here you also get a very good feeling for how much effort went into the making of the movie including months of preparation. This is a very good featurette that adds nicely to the overall release.

The deleted scenes lasts about three and a half minutes. Things start out with an alternate ending between Jesse and Tommy before an alternate ending with Vicki and Kayden. There's also a few scenes around the school as well as a moment with Manuel and a short sequence with Riley, Tommy, and Marco. The sequence with Riley Tommy, and Marco was nicely done, and it was nice to see a little attention given to them here as it was one part that seemed a little underexplored in the movie. This is a nice little collection of deleted scenes. There's nothing overly special, but it does add a bit to the overall DVD.

The blooper reel lasts two minutes. You get plenty of flubbed lines and crackups as well as a few things going wrong working out. This is a pretty simple blooper reel that doesn't add too much to the overall package.

Final Thoughts: Buy it. In fact, you might even want to buy two for when one of your friends decides to borrow your copy without asking.
