Overall
I don't want to be unduly critical of Double Parked 3, as it's a slick movie that gives viewers exactly what it promises and therefore will doubtless please a lot of people. I enjoyed a lot of it too, but then I can't make great claims for it in terms of what I really like to see as it stops short of offering the kind of chemistry and excitement that I feel turns a good movie into a great movie. For example, why not start the scenes with the respective performers in a situation that leads on to the sex, rather than having Alex introduce the girls and then making way for the men to sidle in like anonymous hired guns. The mood is generally good but there's just not enough kissing, play, or assorted fooling around for my liking.

Aside from occasionally questioning the choice of shot, most things on the technical side (shooting, lighting, editing) are not in doubt, but I wonder if the choice of locations hampers getting the camera really involved in the sex and capturing those reaction shots that I crave. It's a common flaw that the scene is shot from a perspective looking onto a couch backed up against the wall, so the camera can't circle the performers, and the girls, during DP, end up with their faces hidden by the guys in the foreground, and all we can see are male asses and close-ups of bump and grind. Ordinarily, I wouldn't get so hung up on such detail but I feel Alex is doing such a good job for the most part with this movie, not least on the casting, that it's frustrating to see him again getting close but not going the extra distance. There are a few moments where Double Parked 3 hints at sweatier, more uninhibited action that would earn it the kind of plaudits it might achieve if only it just loosened up a bit!

DVD Comments
The picture quality is excellent, in my book, though it does look slightly different from a lot of other movies. Nothing to be concerned about, though, as it's a real pro job. The sound for all the little bits of chitchat is perfect and there's no intrusive, tacky music to worry about. The disc offers the customary chapter menu and extras. Best of the extras is a nice little behind the scenes clip with Olivia Saint and Joel Lawrence having fun in the shower after their scene as its own little highlight. There's also a selection of solo scenes, one per girl, of roughly two minutes each. Nothing heavy, just a little light masturbation, but it's a nice touch.
