Diva X: Brittany Review

What a disappointment, this could have been a much better product. It is brought down by poor, sloppy and rushed work. Lets examine each of the four parts of the dvd in turn. On a personal note, I much prefer natural breasts opposed to oversized sacks of saline solution. Of couse, this is personal preference, so your mileage may vary.

The Movie
What they call a movie here would be refered to as a scene by most. It is this part of the disc that looks rushed, it could have been better. In the opening scene, you can see the end of the set because they used a funky camera lens. The camera then enters the bedroom, where the guy helps Brittany out of her clothes. In less than a blink of an eye, the guy is out of his, thanks to some creative editing. Too bad they didn't keep up the editing through out the feature. Further into the scene, we see shakey camera work and the occasional glimpse of a stagehand in the background. For the audio, it is quite obvious that it is dubbed, as you hear ball slapping even after the guy has withdrawn! How about hearing a stagehand asking about the lighting, and hearing the camera operator say it is okay? This film's got it. Little things like this show just how little effort they put into the video and audio of the movie portion of the disc. I could go on, but for a 10 minute "movie", is it really worthwhile?

The Photo Gallery
Can't say much about this. It is ten photos of Brittany from various movies or photo shoots. The images are not available on the dvd as jpeg images, which would have been a nice touch. The photos are accompanied by a musical chord (didn't even rate a full song) which repeats several times during the slideshow. It didn't take long before I got annoyed with it.

TFUI
TFUI stands for Touch Feel User Interface, which is their name for the first person "interactive" feature. It is supposed to make it look like you are interacting with the porn star, and is supposed to be shot in the first person, as if you are the one performing the actions. As you may have guessed, even this falls short. It works best on standalone DVD players, but works on PC DVD players, depending on the software used to view it. On some systems, there is an indicator on screen to show what action will be performed, and what location on the porn star will be the target of that action. On some PC based DVD players, the indicator doesn't show up. Without it, it is near impossible to know what action and target will be selected when you click the mouse. It is a pretty sure bet that it won't be the action you click on. I tried this feature on a couple of systems, with 50/50 success rate. When it does work, the execution is flawed. For instance, you can't select the dildo action if she still has her panties on. Why not? Can't she be teased through the cotton? I'd think so, but apparently the developers did not. Also, any time the dick action is selected, the video switches to a profile shot of the action, hardly first person. If only they had a helmet cam. Or how about when you go to remove her panties? "Your" right hand pulls down her left side, while "your" left hand pulls down her right side. Don't know about you, but I'm not much of a contortnest.

Bloopers
Five bloopers, none of which struck me as very funny. They show one of Brittany yawning, wearing an outfit that doesn't even appear anywhere else on the disc. Just where did they get it from and why did they feel the need to include it here?

Overall, I was majorly disappointed with this disc. The video was nice and clear for the most part, and the audio, other than being dubbed in the movie, didn't raise any complaints. This disc would be good for people who want to show off the features of their DVD player, such as the interactivity and multiple angles, but otherwise, save your money and look elsewhere for your porn pleasures.
