Synopsis:
This is the thirty-seventh volume in one of Ed Powers popular long running gonzo style all sex adult film series, which features amateur females being introduced to the world of porn by him.

Audio/Video:
The available audio track for the film is an English 2.0 Mono track, which is all one should expect for this film. The limitations of the source material are evident in the audio and there are also times that the dialog can be hard to hear. Overall, this audio track is as good as any that I have heard on the Dirty Debutantes series DVDs. No other language tracks and no subtitle options are available.

Dirty Debutantes 37 is presented in the full screen aspect ratio, which is the original aspect ratio for the film. The film was shot on video and apparently Ed Powers leaves his masters sitting on the floor in direct sunlight from the shape that this print is in. The picture is grainy and is full of video glitches. The color levels are not properly balanced throughout. In some places the colors are washed out and in other places the colors are over saturated. There are points that flesh tones show as pink instead of being naturally colored. In the beginning of Annabelle Chong's scene ¾ to ½ of the screen is obscured by a black bar that was put over the image due to a crease/glitches in the master (as can be seen in the screen shot below). During the rest of the scene, the crease is present on the screen. The video quality here is the worst I have seen yet for one of Ed Powers discs and I'm honestly not sure why they bothered to release it on disc. The last two scenes feature a crystal clear beautiful picture.

Special Features:
There are several extras on the disc and although none of them deals with the feature film, most of them do have to do with Ed Powers. These seem to be the same extras as available on all of the Dirty Debutantes series discs. First up is the photo gallery containing twelve stills of now famous porn stars from other Ed Powers Debutante films. Love From Ed is a three minute video clip of Ed Powers rambling to the viewer. There is a text biography of Ed Powers career. Transmissions contains audio excerpts from Ed Powers radio show Bedtime Stories from KLSX. About New Machine contains the contact info for New Machine Publishing. The final extra is previews for Cockless 1, Real Naturals 3, Global Warming Debutantes 11, Dirty Debutantes 47, Dirty Debutantes 157, and Dirty Debutantes 185.

Navigation:
The navigation system on the disc is excellent for the style of the film and allowing the viewer easy access to any area of the disc. From the main menu, you can select from each of the female talent to jump right to their scene or from the chapter menu, titled 'Action Menu' here, you can select from the 42 chapter stops in the film. There is a time code encoded on the disc for the feature film.

General Review:
I should preface this review by stating that I am not a fan of Ed Powers films. I personally can't get aroused by a scene that he is in as he detracts from the beauty of his partners. On top of that the technical quality of Ed's films is atrocious. The camera often goes out of focus and the sound cuts with edits instead of sounding smooth. The camera man often gets some horrible camera angles during the sex which can break the mood created by the scene.

The tag Xpanded Edition on the box is very deceiving as me, along with most viewers, would expect the sex scenes had restored removed footage or other scenes shot for the film that didn't make it. This is not the case here. The original film is intact with its two hour and eighteen minute running time and the rest of the extended time is created by adding scenes from other Dirty Debutantes series films that are also available on disc. These added scenes should really be referred to as bonus sex scenes and not be used to make the run time of the film look longer than it actually is.

The cast is a mixed bag. Sondra Ortega is a rather plain looking woman, who will appeal to viewers who don't like the women looking like porn stars. I'm not much of a fan of Annabelle Chong, as I don't find her attractive, so I can't recommend her scene here. Fans of her will probably find her scene to be a let down. She exhibits the wild energy present in her later work here, but the quality of the video in her scene is the worst on the disc. Anna Malle looks great and shows the sexual intensity that will make her a future star. Rowan Fairmont is good looking, but the scene she is in is way too short. Jessie St. Croix is a nice looking female and Anisa is rather plain looking. Their lesbian scene is much better than Jessie's first scene with Ed since Ed isn't in the lesbian scene. Mika is a good-looking woman that brings some great energy to her scene and Bella Vita is a very attractive woman who has some voracious sexual energy as well.

Except for the massive technical problems and the presence of Ed Powers, the sex scenes aren't too bad. There is a decent amount of variety to them and enough of the nastier sex to please a wide variety of viewers. The sexual themes in the film are oral, vaginal and anal sex with anilingus, female masturbation, lesbianism, toys and a strap-on. For viewers who care about such things, no condoms are used in the film.

The Scenes:
The first six scenes are from More Dirty Debutantes 37. In the first scene, Sondra Ortega gets together with Ed Powers for some pussy eating and vaginal sex. In the second scene, Ed Powers and Annabelle Chong get together for a scene that starts with some brief anilingus, followed by some pussy eating. Annabelle then sucks on Ed rod before they head into the vaginal and anal sex. In the third scene, Ed brings out the lovely Anna Malle and she masturbates for a little before sucking his cock. They then do a little 69 before some vaginal and anal sex.

In the fourth and short scene, Rowan Fairmont and Ed have some vaginal sex. In the fifth scene, Ed brings out Jessie St. Croix for some pussy eating and vaginal sex. In the sixth and final scene from the original film, Jessie sticks around Anisa joins her for some lesbian action featuring some pussy eating, 69, toys and strap-on vaginal sex.

In the seventh scene, from More Dirty Debutantes 110, Mika Tan gets together with Ed for some pussy eating, female masturbation, a blow job and some vaginal and anal sex. In the eighth and final scene, from More Dirty Debutantes 201, the very hot Bella Vita gets together with Ed for some female masturbation, a blow job and vaginal and anal sex.

Parting Thoughts:
Fans of Ed Powers will probably want to skip this outing due to the horrible video quality present. Fans of Anna Malle or Annabelle Chong might want to pick this disc up, if they can find it real cheap, for an early view of their favorite star, but that's about all this disc really has to offer.
