Initial Expectations: Wicked is hard to beat when it comes to big budget blockbusters, and this looks to be another very well done one. I'm looking forward to this one.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are extremely well done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and is very well mixed with some of the audio for the special effects. The video is very nicely presented in anamorphic widescreen. There's a touch of grain to it, but it helps the movie out by giving it a more filmlike, cinematic feel. There's also some great use of lighting that goes a long way towards giving the movie its mood. I'm not sure I noticed a single flaw in either the audio or video here.

Music: The audio nicely gives you the choice between listening to the movie with a blended audio track, a music only track, and a dialogue only track. The music is very nicely done, and well balanced with the rest of the audio. It has a very nice feel to it that doesn't seem generic, and definitely helps out the overall movie.

Menus: The main menu makes a great first impression with some very nicely done animation and a clip of the movie along with a great style that seems perfect for the movie. The chapter menu keeps some of the animation but then moves down into the generic chapter menu by just giving you a clip of each scene and a scene number rather than actually giving you something useful.

The Feature

Roughly twenty years ago, jessica drake's father, Randy Spears, disappeared investigating a tomb. Now the tomb has been reopened, and she's determined to investigate it and find what her father was after. Here, however, the scenes worked pretty well. I think having jessica in both groups really helped tie them together so they wouldn't have such a choppy feeling, and both groups really seem to get into it. jessica's anal ride looks fantastic and I really love the cum play between her and Lezley at the end. Scene 9 – jessica drake, Kaylani Lei, and Eric Masterson

Curse Eternal is one of the best features I've seen from Brad Armstrong in a very long time. The story is very nicely done, and has nicely done characters, a plot that doesn't look like Swiss cheese, and that works with the sex scenes rather than having them crammed into it here and there. It's also very nicely helped out by Kaylani and jessica in the lead roles. Both girls play a very nice range throughout the movie and I really can't see any of the other Wicked girls doing the job in the roles here that Kaylani and jessica did here. The sex is also handled very nicely here with a very nice range to it. There isn't a lot of anal, but there's plenty of couples, groups, and all girl action to give feature fans pretty much everything they could want sexually. Brad Armstrong has made some very well done movies in the past, but he can also get so hung up on the artistic aspect of the movie that the rest of it suffers. With the Egyptian theme of the movie I was a little afraid that would happen here as well, but instead he focuses extremely well on the story with the entire movie coming off very well balanced. Curse Eternal is an extremely well done and extremely enjoyable adult feature that I can't help but very highly recommend.

The Extra Stuff

The only extras on the first DVD are a trailer for Curse Eternal and a commentary featuring Brad Armstrong and jessica drake. There's a pretty good division of labor on the commentary. Brad talks about a lot of the technical aspects about the shoot including things like scheduling problems with the props and the various things that went wrong on the set with a little help from jessica. jessica takes charge when it comes to talking about the sex, and covers techniques, things she likes, and her appreciation for other performers with Brad giving a little help. It's a nice balance, but jessica is the one that really seems to drive the commentary. She sounds like she's having a lot of fun, and does a nice job of trying to play to the fans as well. There's a fair amount of dead air here, but it's still a very nicely done commentary.

A second DVD is devoted entirely to extras. Trailers are included for Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre, Perfect Life, Erotik, Intrigue, Eternity, All About Keri, The Visitors, Sold, Space Nuts, and One Night in Vegas. Star stats are included for Kaylani Lei, jessica drake, Keri Sable, and Lezley Zen giving you aphoto of the star, a little personal information, and Wicked filmography. There are also several behind the scenes featurettes, bonus scenes, interviews, photo shoots, and of course, commercials.

All Access: The Making of Curse Eternal lasts over forty minutes and is presented in the full frame format. Kaylani starts things out trying to explain the movie to Mark Stone before shooting a bit of her scene with Eric. There's also some fun with jessica and the camel along with a few of the things cursing the set before shooting jessica's scene with Kaylani and Eric. It continues to move through the movie capturing a bit of the stars being prepped for their scenes before shooting it with plenty of clips from the movie being mixed in. There is a little of Mark Stone chatting with Keri Sable about her upcoming scene, but sadly she and Kaylani are the only girls to really chat with Mark at all. jessica also adds plenty of explanations and stories as they shoot the movie complete with the occasional side trip into her fantasies. This is an above average behind the scenes featurette. It definitely has a complete feeling, but at nearly forty five minutes it also gets bogged down a bit. There's plenty of the scenes being shot, but very little actual personality from the stars. As usual with Wicked lately, this is a heck of a disappointment as Mark Stone is working the camera and almost always gets great interviews and personality from the girls. This isn't a bad behind the scenes featurette, but it seems a little too focused around what's happening immediately in front of and around the camera rather than broadening out to show more of the fun.

The blooper reel lasts about four and a quarter minutes. You get plenty of flubbed lines, things going wrong, and the cast having some fun as well as a few things going wrong with the sex scenes. It's a very enjoyable blooper reel that's mixed up enough to not fall into a rut. This is a very enjoyable blooper reel.

The interview with Brad Armstrong lasts about six and a half minutes. He talks about wanting to do a big movie with Kaylani and mummy movies coming to mind, as well as looking into things to get the Egyptian thing right. He also talks a bit about the rest of the cast and some of the things that went wrong on the set. It's a nice interview that does a good job letting Brad talk about different aspects of the movie.

The boxcover shoot lasts about three and a quarter minutes. Kaylani starts things out lotioning up and talking about getting into the Egyptian stuff. She talks about liking killing Randy Spears and working with Keri and the camel before heading in to pose for the boxcover shots with Jessica. This is a very nice featurette. It's fairly short, but has plenty of chemistry thanks to Mark Stone being behind the camera asking questions of Kaylani. There's also some nice eye candy inside as the girls pose. This is a very enjoyable featurette.

As usual, several photo galleries are also included. The main gallery lasts about four and three quarter minutes. Photo galleries are also included for each of the sex scenes, and last between about a minute and a quarter and three minutes. Finally, there are star galleries for the entire female cast with the exception of the extremely sultry Lezley Zen which last about two and a half minutes each. In each case you get about eight seconds per good looking snapshot.

Bonus Scene 1 – jessica drake, Keri Sable, and Brad Armstrong

The first bonus scene comes from Sold and is presented in non-anamorphic widescreen. Currently, many of Wicked's DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $25 with a few stores offering them at the low end. Don't worry about the price tag on this one if you're a fan of adult features. The plot and acting are very well handled and merges very well with some nicely done sex. The technical aspects are excellent, and there's some good effort put into the extras as well. If you're a fan of adult features, make sure you pick up Curse Eternal.
