Initial Expectations: I’ve been impressed by most of what I’ve seen from Van Styles. His doing a cream pie movie only raises my hopes further.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is clear and well balanced throughout the movie, and there’s barely a single background noise. The video is good, and nicely presented in anamorphic widescreen, but a little weaker than I expected. There’s a little camera movement, which is to be expected with a handheld movie, but it rarely interferes with the movie. The bigger problem for me was the lighting. Van Styles often gets a little artistic with his movies, and the lighting is a big part of it. Here, the lighting seems a bit much but the artistic feeling isn’t there quite as much. In the behind the scenes, Van talks about having a new camera, and I think some of this might be due to him getting used to the camera.

Music: None

Menus: The main menu does a nice job working together stills of the girls with a bit of animation. The chapter menu also shows some nice care, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the lovely lady in it. You also have the option to “select a star” based on her name and a still of her, which gives you a secondary menu where you can choose where you’d like to go in the scene sexually.

The Feature

Cream Pie Honeys is a pretty good cream pie movie. Although the outfits rarely seem to change for the girl, Van manages to work in a nice tease to start out each scene. The cream pies are nicely done for the most part, with most of the girls taking them very well. The only thing that’s really missing is two girls in one scene so they can work in a little cream pie cumswapping. The only scene which didn’t really work for me was Delilah’s threesome scene, and that was almost completely due to her cheating on the cream pie. The movie also suffered a bit by having a similar feel to the scenes throughout the movie. In the past, Van Styles has nicely mixed up the openings to give each scene a fairly unique feel in the movie. Here he keeps the picking up girls theme through almost all of the movie, and because of it some of the scenes started to run together. Other than that, there’s plenty of energy and chemistry in the scenes and some very nice cream pie finishes.

The Extra Stuff

The slide show lasts about two and three quarter minutes with about six seconds per good looking snapshot or full screen photo. There’s also commercials and a behind the scenes featurette.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts just over twenty seven minutes. After a quick chat with Delilah, Van chats with Kayla as she prepares for her cream pie and babies. Courtney is next with a little extra footage before a little extra footage and some outtakes with Veronica and Delilah. It’s a pretty good behind the scenes featurette, and gives a nice mix of personality between takes and extra sex.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Hustler’s DVDs can be found online for between about $16 and $25 with stores offering it everywhere in between. The low end is a pretty good price for this one. The sex and cream pies are nicely done, but there isn’t the variety I normally expect from Van Styles. The technical aspects show some pretty good care, but the lighting seems a bit off. There’s also a bit of effort put into the extras. This is a pretty good DVD that shows some good care.
