THE COCKPIT CLUB
directed by Michael Zen
Tribal Pulse Productions

This is the one that I’ve been waiting for, an adult film that mixes a few of my favorite pastimes: sports, sex and hot, sweaty men engaging in contact sports and sex. From the big and brawny to the buff and pint-sized, there are no losers in this cast. Behind the camera is the always interesting, if not always successful, Michael Zen, who knocks himself, and the viewer, out with a well-written script and actors up to its sometimes humorous, always character driven devices.

THE COCKPIT CLUB is easily synopsized, another plus, for who really wants a plot-heavy flick when they’re looking the highest testosterone count going? Lovers Kyle Bradford and Tommy Saxx are separated when a barroom scuffle, initiated by wrestler Vince Bandero, lands Saxx in a hospital bed; suffering from a serious concussion. Plotting revenge, Greg seeks out members of “The Cockpit Club” for training. This is my kinda fight club, as the winner takes it all, sexually, from the loser. Losing to one of these muscle bound beauties means sacrificing your mouth (and often your ass) to the winner’s victory thrusts. When a club member breaks his wrist in the ring - - it wasn’t even that limp - - a mysterious masked avenger takes his place in the ring against Torque. Now you don’t need a degree in astro- physics to know just who it is beneath that mask, any more than you need to know that even in the world of “adult” entertainment, the good guys
always win.
Unlike the normal world of “adult” entertainment, Tribal Pulse has taken a dvd cue from the guys at Disney and FOX, and placed a forced commercial at the start of the dvd. Hopefully, this is a passing fancy, and will be remedied at once. I could do my best channeling of Faye Dunaway as Joan Crawford, and shout, “ NO Forced Commercials, ever!” but face it, I’ve got better things to do with my throat these days. On the commercial’s plus side, it features the trailer for I KNOW WHO YOU BLEW LAST SUMMER, as well as snippets of six solo sessions, with titles, from the cast of THE COCKPIT CLUB. With titles such as, Show Hard- Make it Spit, Hungry Ass, Cock Workout, See My Hole, Smell of Cum and Photo Shoot, these are indeed something to look forward to, and patience does cum to those who wait.

Scene One gives us our introduction to the characters, along with the funniest line I’ve heard in a while. We meet Tommy Saxx, Kyle Bradford and bartender Mike (“he only looks like he has razor blades in his shit”) denizens of a small bar. There’s also an artist with a crush on Bradford (well, who wouldn’t?), who with Saxx are Mike’s employees. A short break allows Bradford and Saxx to run downstairs for a bit of afternoon delight, getting the film off to a red-hot start.

Shedding their denims, the lovers, quickly rise to the occasion, with a very vocal sexual performance. Both are lithe and more than adequately buff, with raging hard-ons. Their love- making doesn’t disappoint as Bradford moves from sucking Ran’s think meat, to priming the well with a swift finger-fuck, before ramming his swollen cock and balls into Saxx’s eager man- beaver. Blessed with tremendous staying power, they both climax, nearly simultaneously, with volcanic eruptions - - Saxx’s cum gliding through the air before its smooth landing in his armpit.

Just before Scene Two, Vince Bandero gets to beat up on Saxx, leading Bradford to seek out The Cockpit Club, to train himself for revenge. Peter Wilder - - can these men get any hotter? - - is the trainer of sexpots Talvin DeMachio - - - mmmm, Latin love, anyone? - - - and sturdy, studly, daddy Jason Branch. After a short wrestling round, winner Branch takes on DeMachio, with Wilder joining in for a thrilling threesome.

Scene Four takes us into the ring with Sonny Markham wrestling Tony Acosta. As the crowd cheers him on, Markham feeds his well-developed muscle to Acosta, who responds almost too emphatically. Markham continues to amaze with that firmly-developed, fat-free body with the veins that protrude in just the right places; whereas Acosta, ruggedly handsome, might need to check into an acting school. Even if he loses, too quickly, who can blame him when confronted with Markham’s physique?!?!

Back into the ring with opponents Chaz Carlton and Vince Bandero for Scene Five. Alternating between artsy-fartsy black and white photography and color, Zen directs the ring scenes with gusto, if not a nod to Scorsese’s RAGING BULL, without coming across as pretentious. Blond Carlton is the closest this flick comes to a twink, and he’s a terrific bottom for Bandero. Following a disguised victory in the ring against Bandero, Carlton takes on Saxx and Markham for Scene Six. Taking place mostly upon a staircase, the guys find their way around the ups and downs with gusto for the grand finale. Stick around, though as the film ends to see a special guest star as “Louella Bates,” who gets her own revenge on Bandero as the credits roll.

This is a terrific movie, make no mistake about it. Whether a fan of wrestling, or just a plain old fan of adult films, Michael Zen has outdone himself with THE COCKPIT CLUB, and as I said earlier, good things come to those who wait: the dvd is packed with twenty-some minutes of “Star Solos” as a special treat. Jason Branch, Tony Acosta, Talvin DeMachio, Vince Badero and Sonny Markham are all spotlighted as they heat up their own “talking dirty” jack-off sessions on sets from the film. With strong production values, excellent camera work, and a cast of non- twinks, the true victor here is the viewer who presses the “play” button for THE COCKPIT CLUB.
