This is an all-girl effort from leading porn studio Platinum X Pictures. It's directed by Jewel De'Nyle, former porn favorite, and is her second Lesbian line from PXP. The first was called "Dirty Girlz," which I enjoyed very much. The first installment in that series featured Mary Carey in a scorching scene with Brandy, a young Hispanic hottie. "Chix in the Mix" also focuses exclusively on interracial Lesbian sex, which seems to be one of Jewel's favorite things to direct.

Although Platinum X Pictures has always been one of my favorite porn studios, many of their releases have suffered from poor video quality. Some of their DVD's have weird-looking "halos" around the images on the screen which are highly distracting. This color problem, or "chroma shift," was mostly limited to PXP's early movies, and by 2005, the problem seems to have been totally corrected. "Chix in the Mix" suffers slightly from the problem. I can see some remnants of the chroma shift on my portable DVD player but the halos are not as bad here as in some other PXP releases.

Scene 1: Sophia and Sunshine

Sophia is a pretty blonde starlet with fake round breasts who I've seen in a number of movies. She is paired here with Sunshine, a young African-American girl with a thick natural body and average looks. To be honest, neither of the girls here did much for me, both in the looks department and in their performances.

They start off on a couch lightly kissing before Sunshine licks Sophia's mammoth boobs. She moves to some decent oral lapping with two fingers inside Sophia. Soon they switch positions, with Sophia eating out Sunshine. Neither one of the girls really seem to be into it or passionate about the sex at all. Sophia laps at Sunshine's pierced clitoris.

This scene did not create a lot of heat. The girls appeared to be sleepwalking through the entire action, and didn't really seem to be into the sex at all. This is a common complaint in many Lesbian releases, as lots of girls tend to do "gay for pay" scenes without a whole lot of passion. This one was no different, and a totally average girl-on-girl pairing.

Scene 2: Kimberly Kane, Mel, and Hypnotic

We meet our three hotties, one a voluptuous Latina (Mel), one a cute blonde with glasses (Kimberly), and the other a passionate black starlet named Hypnotic. They start off on a couch making out together. These girls are definitely more enthusiastic than the previous two. They really seem into the scene and into fucking each other, which is a good start.

Kimberly eats out Mel's pussy while Hypnotic inserts a long, thin dildo into her asshole. Soon Mel is getting a thick purple dildo in her snatch as well. Scene 3: Mya Mason and Vicki Powell

Mya Mason is a thin, very attractive young black lady, who is paired here with the equally sexy British brunette Vicki Powell. Mya has a great set of small perky tits that Vicki attacks as they make out. Vicki has a much larger fake-looking rack that also sees some attention. They lay down on a bed with zebra stripes to get to business.

"Chix in the Mix" is a decent all-girl effort from Jewel De'Nyle. There is not as much heat as in her previous Lesbian release "Dirty Girlz," and only a few of the girls did anal. There probably is not a lot here for the so-called raincoater to enjoy (no gaping, A2M, spitting, rough sex, DP, huge toys, etc.) but the cast is pretty good, and most of the girls appear to be enjoying the proceedings. There are also a lot of extras (over 40 minutes) on the DVD, which is one that's definitely worth at least a rental if you are looking for interracial Lesbian action.
