Champagne Showers (DVD + Blu-Ray Combo Pack) Review

Lovely Jessa Rhodes heads to the big city to become a singing star then works as a waitress on her way to stardom in the amiable, well-shot CHAMPAGNE SHOWERS (2013, Digital Playground-Manwin) that's directed by Francois Clousot. It's all rather slight but the sex scenes that have a night time vibe are generally a plus here.

Just over 2 hours. No condoms. Wide screen. Extras include a 9 minute BTS and a bunch of Digital Playground trailers.

So Jessa is leaving for L. A. but first she needs to fuck her boyfriend (a solid bedroom romp with Tyler Nixon) and say good bye to her Dad out by the swimming pool that same night.

Out in L.A., she walks a darkened street and carries her guitar into a club for an audition but she's scared off by a few club owners more interested in sucking and fucking than hearing her strum a lame tune. (Xander Corvus and Elektra Blue put on a good straight sex show that ends in a facial out in some entranceway seating along a wall)

Out in the not so dangerous streets again, Jessa meets up with Scott (Keiran Lee) who walks her home. She gets a job the next day at a bar where all the female bartenders dance atop the bar as part of the experience and Scott shows up and performs a little male strip show for their patrons. (Meanwhile, bar owner Nikita Von James wearing Jimmy Choo shoes sucks and fucks in the back of a pick up with Erik Everhard who's never heard from again)

Cleaning up at the bar means it's time for a girl/girl scene. (Kirsten Price and Breanne Benson start out in front then end up on top the bar for a 69)

Jessa finally warms up to Scott. (Jessa and Keiran Lee in a solid bedroom romp with a cum shot dropped in her mouth for the finale)

Jessa gets fired from her job with an assist from her Dad who has come into town to check up on her. (A sex scene ensues between dark haired, uber lovely Lay Lasin and some dude with wide shots putting the performers behind metal railings horizontally crisscrossing the frame. Upright positions a plus then a facial finisher.)

Old boyfriend Tyler shows up at Jessa's but she sends him packing because she just wants to do her music, which leads to another odd sex scene that ensues between the bar owner and Jessa's Dad. (Nikita again with the guy playing Jessa's Dad as she sucks and fucks and squirts in an encounter near the bar)

Jessa gets her big break to play in front of an audience and performs an underwhelming tune called 'Let's Talk about Me' that won't be the talk of the Grammy's anytime soon. And finally those champagne showers pour at a New Year's Eve party with plenty of topless babes drenched in the bubbly.

Well, there you have it. CHAMPAGNE SHOWERS (2013, Digital Playground) is an amiable enough showcase for the carnal talents of Jessa Rhodes, who looks great here in a couple of scenes. At this point, her other skills are pretty lacking so she's not a good choice to try and carry an entire feature. Director Clousot clutters up this tale with plenty of short extraneous sex scenes to help cover up these short comings. Therefore, a !! 1/2 outta !!!!! are the only gifts that I can shower upon this flick.
