Castings 27: Gili Sky Review

If you’ve ever wondered just how Private or someone like director Pierre Woodman manages to get the girls for his videos that don’t resemble grown-up Barbie dolls, this video series shows how they’re picked.

The Private Castings series is all about the audition videos for seven actresses who eventually take part in either filming or photo shoots for Woodman. You get to see their original interviews talking about who they are, what they do, their thoughts about sex, and then you get to see them in action. You’re given a taste of what they’re like either at a photo shoot or from a scene in one of Private’s many videos.

So this reviewer goes ahead and pops the DVD in, and the first thing that I see is a trailer for Private’s "Cleopatra". This is not good. I don’t mean the trailer, per se, I mean automatically running trailers before you get to the main menu. I don’t care if this is what the "mainstream" does with their releases, it’s still WRONG. Just get us to the main menu and let US decide if we want to see the trailers. We probably will anyway, so there’s really no loss for you if we don’t see them immediately.

There is a pattern with the interview process for each of the girls, so I won’t get into the details for each of them. In fact they’re really quite boring. Not only are they boring but they’re usually done in two languages, none of them English, and only the French portion of the conversation is translated into English subtitles. Woodman gets each of them to talk a little about themselves, they’re asked if they know what he does, they’re shown a Private magazine complete with explicit pictures, and then they get asked to get naked. And no, you can’t skip past this to go to the other material. That’s the other downside to this DVD. You have to go through the interview to get to the fun stuff.

After a quick title screen, we go to our first girl, Gily Sky (AKA Anita), who also graces the cover. We find out through a translator that Gily was a Hungarian dancer when she was interviewed in 1998. Once we get past the third-party translations, we see that Gily is not afraid to get naked. The "action" scene for her comes from Private’s Gold #36. We see her working on a sailboat in a pink floral dress… not exactly the correct attire for sailing. Before long, some suave gentleman shows up and the next thing we know, they’re below decks engaging in foreplay. They go through a couple of positions with their clothes on before getting completely naked. We don’t get to hear them, though. Rather there are a couple of other people we get to hear off-camera (probably the director). There’s a great anal sex scene that loses its punch because of the director’s comments, and then she quickly finishes with an oral pop before we see some of the other Private videos she appears in.

The next girl is Evelyne, a blond Hungarian, and this time the interview is in English. It seems Evelyne has some reservations about the interview. But he still gets her to get naked for him, and once that’s done she opens up to him a bit. Evelyne’s "action" scene comes from Private’s Triple X #4, a photo shoot in the outdoors. First it’s just her by a pond wearing nothing but shorts. Then she’s on the beach, gradually stripping down to her bikini bottoms. Then we see her in Private’s Triple X Video #4 with much longer hair and doing a girl-girl with some brunette. They please themselves, first one, then the other, and then in 69. No toys, mind you. Just fingers and tongues. Still, not bad if you like girl-girl stuff.

Next up, a lovely brunette named Angelica. She’s already seen the magazine, so we waste no time getting her naked. Cute girl, bit on the pale side, with a clear appendectomy scar. But when she gets over on all fours to show her ass… well let’s just say that something is hanging out that isn’t part of the human anatomy. Not a good sight. Even Woodman didn’t keep her in that pose for long once he saw it. Okay… change the subject! The fun scene comes from Private #124, and it’s a photo shoot of her with two guys. Yes, they do have sex, but there is no moaning and groaning from anyone, except at the very end for one of the guys. Nice-looking girl, but her scenes weren’t that appealing.

Our fourth girl is a blond beauty named Myrka (a.k.a. Valerie), and she’s from France. A student as well as a model, she’s rather interested in getting into adult videos, saying that it’s easier than modeling. Nice girl. So her action shot comes from Private’s Gold #26, 27, and 28. We see her in a ballroom in a French mansion, arguing with some guy who looks like he’s supposed to be nobility. It takes a minute to connect this brunette with the blond from the interview, especially with the longer hair. They go their separate ways. Then we see her taking a bath. Two servants help her out and dry her naked body off. Then we see her in bed sucking some guy off before riding him. The guy goes from doggie to anal doggie pretty quickly, and they go through two anal positions before he blows his load over her face. It’s hard to get into it, though, because once again we can hear the director’s voice telling them what to do. In the next scene, our blond-turned-brunette is in the great outdoors, fucking one French soldier, sucking a second, and a third just shows up. So he takes his cock out and she sucks it as well. It’s triple-team action, and it’s not long before she gets them all to climax.

Our fifth casting girl is a Romanian girl named Katia Love (a.k.a. Anna). She’s not a newbie to the adult scene. She’s got a nice body, which she eagerly shows off. But when she put her clothes back on, she had one more surprise for the camera. That nice short brown hair is just a wig. Katia is really sporting a Mohawk both on top and below. Still, on her it looks good. The fun scene for her comes from Private’s Superfuckers #1, and Katia is one of two submissives being led into a room by their mistress to service a naked man wearing a wrestler’s mask. It’s a pretty intense scene, with the submissive girls servicing the guy and also getting some toy-attention from their mistress. Eventually the mistress also gets some tongue action from one of her slaves before doing herself with the toy. The guy jerks off on her boot, and the girls clean the boot.

Next up, some more Budapest casting… this time we have another blond by the name of Nicole (Sonia) Thompson. Nicole is another model, but she’s never heard of what our director does, and they happened to have run out of magazines. (Apparently they didn’t plan for this casting.) She’s also not interested in doing hardcore stuff, just "glamour". Still, she doesn’t mind getting out of her clothes. But once she does and she bends over…. YIKES! Something is also sticking out! Yes, yes, quickly pull back from that zoom shot and have her sit down! Well for someone who only wanted to do "glamour" pics, Nicole doesn’t do too bad when her action scene is from Pirate Video Deluxe #6. She’s one of a whole bevy of blond beauties who fuck and suck anything that has a dick. She takes on two guys for some tag-team and DP action before letting them blow their loads on her face.

Our seventh and last lovely casting girl is a Hungarian blond by the name of Mia Stone. Now Mia looks a little like Mykra, but she’s somewhat inhibited about being there. She’s shown the magazine and she’s not comfortable about doing hardcore stuff. It seems she’s still a virgin. But Pierre wants to keep the option open for her once she’s no longer a virgin. Three days later, she comes back to see if she can do "soft" stuff. He says it depends on what her body looks like. He gets her to strip down to her bra and panties. She’s reluctant, but she does take everything off and goes through a couple of poses before sitting back down on the bed. They give her a robe because she’s not used to being naked around anyone. Two weeks later, she’s back with brown hair and a somewhat different attitude about things. She’s also speaking with somewhat broken English, and she decides that she wants to "try".

Now this is probably the best part of the video… because this time the "action" scene isn’t from some other video. It’s done with Pierre himself, right there in the room. Wow! An actual casting couch scene! She gets out of her clothes and into a towel, and he starts things off slow. He gets her out of the towel, lays her down, and give her a nice pussy-licking. He continues to play with her while he gets himself naked and ready for her. He lines himself and slides himself in. She’s very vocal. Since there is only one camera, and it’s stationary, there really is no close-ups or zoom-in views, so he has to move her about on the bed to go through the various positions. They go into a 69-position, he cums in her mouth, and she swallows it. But they’re not done yet. He gets her off orally, then warms her up for some anal action, and they both have a ride of their lives. They can’t even do a pop shot because he spent himself inside her. Talk about saving the best for last!

In terms of extras, this video has five trailers plus its own. It also has some text-only notes about the whole Private Castings series plus the details on each of the videos that were included with the castings. My favorite feature, though, has to be the profiles section, where you can get the bio information on each of the girls, plus pictures, plus their portion of the casting video. And when that portion is complete, you go right back to the profiles section. I only wish they managed to further segment the casting video between the interview, the disrobing, and the "action" scenes. Still, it’s a great feature to have.

All-in-all, this is a good sampler video to get if you’re really not familiar with some of the stuff Private puts out, especially if you can get it under $20. The interview process is a bit long and somewhat boring, plus you have to be patient because you can’t skip through them to get to the fun stuff. Some of the "action" scenes were ruined by the director’s comments, but the others were also pretty good. The best, though, is still Pierre’s casting couch section with Mia. In fact, I’m surprised that she wasn’t on the cover herself. Still, pretty good for a sampler.
