Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants to see pop shots in adult scenes

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty standard for this kind of feature. The audio is pretty well balanced, and there isn’t much for background noises as long as the scene takes place indoors. When it’s outdoors, you might as well not even try to hear what’s being said. There’s some pixelation in the video, but most of it only has some very slight grain. There’s also some very noticeable lighting inconsistencies, camera shake, and soft focus blurs.

Music: None.

Disc Problems / Complaints: The feature is quite a bit shorter than the cover advertises. I’m guessing some of this might be due to the feature being split over two titles on the DVD (78 minutes in the first half and 31 minutes in the second half), which always pisses me off. It makes the DVD feel cheaply made since you can’t go back to the first part after going into the second.

Menus: The menus are pretty simple. The main menu has a couple clips of the feature, and the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of the scene and a scene number.

The Feature: There’s certain things a guy does when he gets up in age. You start wearing black socks with wildly colored bermuda shorts. You get your prostate examined by a doctor rather than in the manner that Tom Byron and Mickey G. have demonstrated on screen. You join AARP. If you’re a porn star, you also start up a series where you welcome fresh talent into the industry, just like Tyce Bune is doing here.

Tyce starts things out with Shaudra Serandon, a very realistic looking brunette with big natural tits and a little meat on her bones, in the bathroom. He interviews her as she sits on his bathroom counter, and also gives her a shave. He takes care of her pussy and then asks her to turn around so he can shave her ass also, which we learn really could use it. She refuses, so he kisses her and lets her start sucking his cock before fucking her missionary style. They move into doggie, since Shaudra says it’s her favorite position, and from the looks of things they used about a quarter cup of half and half for lube. They keep things going spooning and in cowgirl, and surprisingly finish without any sign of a pop shot. Alexis Scott, a nice looking and slightly older married woman, is featured in the next scene. Jewels Jade, who’s been in the industry for a little while now and did a scene for Tyce earlier that day, heads the next scene. They play with themselves a bit while talking before Tyce fucks her in a few of the common positions. Once again there’s no pop, and it’s even more of a disappointment since Tyce has Jewels come up and suck his cock and then wave goodbye in the middle of it. It’s an average at best scene before that, since Jewels looks like she’s pretty tired and would rather be somewhere else for some of the scene, and ends up a little lower.

Claire Bandit, a brunette who looks like she’s barely old enough to drive when there’s an adult in the car, keeps with the trend of giving but not getting for a warmup in the next scene. She sucks Tyce and plays with herself before he fucks her missionary style, and often looks uncomfortable when the camera gets lost and pans up to show her face. Thankfully she looks like she’s having a better time when they switch to cowgirl, but most of the time the camera seems focused on what’s going on down below. Sadly, there isn’t so much attention given down there that there’s a pop shot. Although it picks up a bit near the end, Claire’s looking like she isn’t having the best of time in missionary and the lack of a pop shot don’t even let this one get up to the average level.

Layne Young, a decent looking girl who looks like she might be Hawaiian or Latin and has a bald beaver and natural body, heads the next scene. Unlike most of the other girls, she gets her pussy played with and doesn’t have to suck Tyce off before he starts fucking her. They work through a couple positions before the standard dud of an ending.

Tyce starts outside for the penultimate scene with Daisy Thomas, a very plain looking bleached blonde. They talk a little while Tyce plays with her pussy before going inside. This one feels out of place right from the start since there’s no real interview. Inside they roll around a bit while Tyce plays with her, followed by a little fucking where about all you can clearly see is Tyce’s ass, shorts, and back and Daisy’s legs. Things get a little better when they change to reverse cowgirl, but Daisy seems lost or maybe even a little stoned. Regardless, she never really appeared happy to me after going inside even though they work through several positions, including anal. I guess it’s a trade-off here. The sex is pretty boring, but there is a pop at the end of the scene. By the end of the scene I think I would have rather had with no pop and a little enjoyment. I also couldn’t help but think that this scene would have been much better if Tyce would have just handed Daisy the check at the beginning of the scene and let her go on her way.

Marina Alexis, an attractive Latino, heads the final scene which starts with them arguing about what her stage name should be. She shows enough enthusiasm and enjoyment in the first few minutes of the scene that it almost made up for the previous scene. Amazingly, they almost start with some reverse cowgirl, but it’s quickly edited to start in the mandatory missionary before moving on through the other common positions. Surprisingly, there’s a pop shot in this scene as well, and Marina takes it internally as Tyce plays with her ass a bit. It’s a good scene with all the credit going to Marina’s great enthusiasm, which lets things rise up to slightly above average despite the poor camera work and lackluster editing.

Casting Couch Confessions 9 is a dud of a fresh talent flick. Tyce does a passable job introducing and interviewing the girls, and many of them seem to really enjoy sex. Sadly, this isn’t true for all of them and the camera work holds the feature back a bit. The camera work is either done by Tyce holding it, even when he’s fucking somebody, or with a tripod. The tripod feel is very obvious, since there are long close-ups with the camera not moving, and distance shots which never zoom and rarely catch the star’s faces. Also, most of the scenes don’t have a pop shot, and often end up feeling like they’re a timed thing. When the goes off, wave goodbye to the camera and call it the end. The only thing that makes me think this isn’t true is that I didn’t hear an alarm go off and I’m sure the noise wouldn’t have been edited out. The editing leaves a lot to be desired. The segments are often so long that I was often bored and wanted to grab the remote. There were also several times when I wondered if there was going to be any other points of view shown for the scene other than the one that was on the screen at the time. Casting Couch Confessions 9 appears to have had a budget that’s about as much as a pack of mini-donuts, but isn’t nearly as enjoyable.

Extras: There’s not much here. There’s a photo gallery that lasts about two and a half minutes with about nine seconds per nice looking photo with a clip of the movie running alongside it. There’s also internet and company information.

Overall: Currently, the Casting Couch Confessions series can be found online for between $11 and $25 with a few stores offering them for under $15. If you’re interested in this one, rent it first. Almost everything about this DVD leaves a lot to be desired.

Note to Wildlife / Tyce Bune: I sure hope that this is the low spot of the series. If not, please consider this series like a cat that’s used up its ninth life.
