Call to God is a short film within the Sad Girls universe created by Theo Meow and Candy Flip. The Sad Girls universe consists of the mockumentary The Sad Girls of the Mountains (Die traurigen Mädchen aus den Bergen), the Sad Girls website at www.sadgirls.de, and seven short films (Call to God, Cry Me a River, Forest Sisters, Fuck the Pain Away, Kakao Sluts, Sad Girls Must Be Spanked, Wintertime Sadness), which is where Call to God fits into the universe. Call to God is the shortest of the Sad Girls universe short films, clocking in at a half a minute in length and is written and directed by Theo Meow and Candy Flip. The short film features the Sad Girls characters Momo (Andrea) and Selma (Jenz Mau). In the short film, Momo is so sad; she calls God on the phone for help. Selma catches her and spanks her with a crucifix because sad girls don't believe in God.

Call to God may only be a thirty-second piece; however, it is beautifully made with excellent photography by Katy Bit. Call to God never looks like a rush job. The editing, music, set, all look wonderful, and the short film makes for a nice accompaniment for the main feature.

The edition of Call to God is the streaming-only version offered exclusively at the Sad Girls website sadgirls.de for free by Sad Girls/Meow Meow. Call to God was shot digitally and is presented in the non-anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1. The picture quality for Call to God is excellent free from defects, and the colors in the movie look great. The only issue is that the short film only streams in a small enclosed box on the website and can't be expanded to the full screen.

Call to God is presented with an English Stereo audio track. There aren't any issues with the sound quality, and the dialog is clear and easy to understand at all times. The dialog is also printed on the screen, in English, in a stylized fashion.
