Synopsis:
Every year the Nudes-A-Poppin' Festival is held at the Ponderosa Sun Club in Roselawn, Indiana, on the 3rd Sundays of July and August. The Nudes-A-Poppin' Festival is probably the most famous nude beauty pageant ever held. Every year, John Stagliano and the Evil Angel crew head over and chronicle the event and this movie is the result. This volume of Nudes A∙Poppin' was taped in July of 2002.

Audio/Video:
Buttman at Nudes A∙Poppin' 14 is presented with an English 2.0 Mono track, which works well for the material being presented in the movie. The audio levels are uneven and the audio is choppy, but you have to remember, this isn't a staged film. This was taped at a live event with multiple cameras. Given what they had to work with, I think the audio is the best that they could accomplish at such an event. Just remember going into the movie that the audio is below Evil Angel's high standards. The dialog is clear and easy to hear throughout the movie. Evil Angel hasn't included any foreign language tracks or any subtitle options for the movie, but none are necessary for your viewing enjoyment, even if you can't understand English.

Buttman at Nudes A∙Poppin' 14 is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1, which is the original aspect ratio for the movie. The picture is in good shape only exhibiting a couple of video glitches in the presentation. Other than that the picture is free from artifacts or blemishes. The color levels are great and flesh tones look natural. Although not quite on par with Evil Angel's high picture quality, the images presented here are nothing to scoff at.

Special Features:
Evil Angel has loaded this disc with extras for your continued enjoyment. Nudes-A-Poppin' Info holds information on the yearly event in Roselawn. There is a list of the placings for the events for all of the contest winners. There is some extra footage that didn't make the final cut of the movie. There is 27 minutes of strip tease footage under the heading of dancing and 23 minutes of miscellaneous extra footage under the heading of posing. There are three photo galleries included on the disc for your enjoyment. There is the dancing gallery, that contains 38 stills that you flip through yourself, the posing gallery, which is really the awards gallery that contains 15 stills that you flip through yourself, and the awards gallery, which is really the posing gallery that contains 70 stills that you flip through yourself. There is the contestant list of all the female participants along with their number. There are Evil Angel filmographies for Adara Michaels, Tricia Devereaux, and many of the contestants. There are text biographies included on the disc for John Stagliano and Tricia Devereaux. And last, but not least, there is a list of the AVN Awards that this series has won over the years.

Disc Design/Navigation:
The disc is very nicely designed with a nice lighthearted feel to the disc. The disc is composed of simple animated menus with music that look great. There are 24 chapters available from the chapter menu. They are identified by a video clip, the star name and the scene name. There are 49 chapter stops available within the feature movie itself. There is a time coded encoded on the disc for the feature movie.

General Review:
Buttman at Nudes A∙Poppin' 14 is not what the standard viewer of Evil Angel's movies might expect, there is nary a sex scene to be found in the movie. But what the movie does contain is some beautiful women lovingly captured by John Stagliano, Big John, and Tricia Devereaux as only they can. The movie starts out with some brief footage of John and Tricia driving to the event before the movie goes into the actual festival. There is some brief footage of the festivities before the movie goes into the main attraction, the women at Nudes-A-Poppin'.

The movie flows nicely as a whole with the first part showing the many strip tease entries intermixed with footage from the roving pussy and ass cameras. The second part shows of contestants in the beauty contest and some body painting mixed in with more footage from the roving cameras and some more strip tease sequences. Although the movie sports a rather long run time, due to the pacing, editing and how the various sequences are broken up, the overall movie doesn't feel as long as it is.

This is an excellent movie for any viewer that appreciates the beauty of the female form, as that is what this movie is about. There is no sex what-so-ever present in it, nothing that could even be considered even close to sex. Just the beauty of the female body elegantly on display here. The movie is presented in a nastier aspect than the standard nudity movies that you'll find at standard mainstream DVD stores and certainly has the Evil Angel edge throughout the movie. Viewers hoping to get a look at some of the male entrants will be sorely disappointed as the only male nudity present in the movie is in the background of some of the shots.

The females featured in the movie look great and there is enough variety to their bodies and looks that all viewers should find many of interest to them. Even the lovely Tricia Devereaux briefly takes the stage. The best aspect of the movie is that not only the female bodies are captured, but John Stagliano, Tricia Devereaux, and Big John have been able to capture the mood and atmosphere of the entire event in the movie. The opening festivities were a little short, but I wouldn't have wanted any of the footage in the movie taken out to make more room for the opening and if the movie as a whole was made even longer, it may have ended up making the movie too long. So the short opening festivities may have ultimately been for the best.

Parting Thoughts:
This is far from being a typical Evil Angel release, viewers looking for sex will be very disappointed in this movie, as there is no sex present in the movie. Viewers that appreciate the beauty of the female body will love this movie though. This movie is the next best thing to actually being at the Nudes-A-Poppin' Festival as not only has John Stagliano and the Evil Angel crew captured images from the event, but they have also captured the atmosphere and the excitement of the event.
