Initial Expectations: Evil Angel and John Stagliano normally make great DVDs and features, so I have my usual high hopes for this one. I’m a little worried, however, since I’ve heard that the NAP features don’t have any actual sex.

Initial Reaction: It’s a different type of feature, but I can’t think of anybody who could do it better than Buttman.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody who loves the female form

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Evil Angel, the audio and video quality are top notch. Normally this shouldn’t be such a hard thing to accomplish, but most of Evil Angel’s releases, especially John Stagliano’s, are gonzo style porn, which makes things more difficult. The audio is normally very good. There’s very little outdoor noise, but there is other surrounding noises that do interfere a few times. The video doesn’t show any of the shake that’s normally associated with gonzo porn and handheld cameras and is normally very clear. There is a little bit of pixelation, but that’s to be expected with some of the fast pans that occasionally occur. For outdoor recording and gonzo porn, it’s going to be extremely difficult to make it look and sound better than it does here.

Music: It’s perfect for stripping, which is a very good thing here.

Disc Problems: Using PowerDVD, I could not get into the special features. Everything would freeze and when I hit play again, the movie would start. My standalone Marantz DVD player would also not play any of the extra footage, although it would play all of the other extras. I checked out the DVD on a Pioneer DVD player and had absolutely no problems.

Menus: The menus are a little more animated than Evil Angel’s normal menus. The chapter menu frequently contains the name of some of the performers and also contains some of the competitions going on at the time. Evil Angel’s standard fetish menu isn’t contained here, but it isn’t needed since the entire focus of the feature is on stripping.

The Feature: Each year on the third Sunday of July and August, Nudes a Poppin’ takes over the Ponderosa Sun Club in Roselawn, Indiana. It’s one of the biggest competitions for strippers in the world. In Buttman at Nudes a Poppin’ 10 , John Stagliano, Big John, and Tricia Devereaux grab their cameras and head out to capture the competition and, of course, much more. No, that much more isn’t sex. Instead, you get quick interviews with many of the girls and close-ups that are so good that you can almost smell the girls. As always, John is very gracious and friendly and gets each girl’s name as well as wear she dances.

Buttman almost gets a little too close sometimes. At one point, one of the girls turns around without realizing he’s back there and accidently whacks him with the squirt gun she’s holding. Rather than insisting that she’s a bad girl that needs a spanking, John apologizes and instead asks for another view of her great ass. Of course, this doesn’t stop the amazing Buttman. He keeps right on going and captures beautiful woman after beautiful woman on camera. Of course he gets them to bend over and show off their amazing asses, but he also captures their perfect pussies and terrific tits. Everybody knows of John Stagliano’s love of butts, however here he does a good job of expanding that love to the full female form.

Most notable for many Adult DVD Talkers, however is Tricia Devereaux. She’s both in front of and behind the camera in this episode of Buttman at Nudes a Poppin’ . Of course, the camera does a great job of catching a lot of Tricia. For those of you who haven’t seen Tricia perform, this is just enough to get you warmed up since she doesn’t do one of her normal scorching scenes here. Instead she shows off her fabulously natural body. In addition to an amazing bubble butt, Tricia has a fantastic set of all real tits. Rounding it all off is a very cute face with eyes that often have a playful but naughty glint to them. As good as Tricia is to look at in front of the camera, she’s also very good behind it. She isn’t as vocal as either of the Johns, but she’s very friendly when she talks to the girls.

If this isn’t enough for Tricia, she also edited Buttman at Nudes a Poppin’ 10 and did a great job. It appears that the three cameramen (and woman) weren’t always together and were often at different points of the festival. There are a couple places where it seemed like things were repeating itself a little because of the music, but were actually just a different camera at a different area.

If you’re a fan of the female form, you’ve got to pick up Buttman at Nudes a Poppin’ 10. Almost every look of woman is represented here, with the only kinds not included looking like Mimi from The Drew Carrey Show . There’s black and white and every color in between as well as pierced, tattooed, implanted, and natural. If you can’t find something you like here, you might have a hard time finding it anywhere. There’s some nice interaction between John Stagliano, Big John, and Tricia Devereaux behind the camera with the girls as well as watching Tricia work in front of the camera. The main thing, however, is the dancing, and John and company do a masterful job of cramming as much as possible into almost two hours and twenty minutes.

Extras: As with most of John Stagliano’s other DVD releases, this one includes a short autobiography rather than the standard biography. This time, a short autobiographical piece is also included for Tricia Devereaux.

Also as usual with DVDs, a photo gallery is included. Keeping up with their normal practice of doing things right, Evil Angel includes fifty one photos that look great! I’m not normally one that cares too much about photo galleries, but I think this might be the best looking one I’ve seen so far. There’s photos taken during the filming as well as a couple great behind the scenes photos. Evil Angel also cares enough to let you know to use the next and previous buttons on your remote to maneuver through rather than some companies who leave you guess.

Most notable among the extras is the extra footage. There’s over sixty six minutes of extra footage from Buttman, Big John, and Tricia as well as some extra dancing. It’s great footage and there isn’t really anything where you look at it and go “Yeah. They were right to cut that.”. Instead, it feels like the movie was extended by over an hour.

John Stagliano’s extra footage is the first shown. It lasts about twenty minutes and consists mostly of shots of the girls as they perform for the guys by the fences. It’s just as good as the rest of the stuff he shot in the movie. The highlight of his extra footage is a little bit of the lovely Tricia Devereaux’s show as well as washing the red paint off afterwards. He does a great job of getting her to show off her fantastic natural body as well as her tongue stud.

Big John gets the next twenty three minutes of extra footage which is quite similar to John Stagliano’s. The main difference between the two of them is Big John gets the girls to move around so he can get the shot he wants whereas Buttman just seems to naturally get the great shots. Big John also gets quite a few shots of Buttman going after the ladies as well as a few short comments from the great one.

The four minutes of Tricia Devereaux’s extra footage stands apart very nicely from the guys’ footage. Most notable is that Tricia catches one of the male performers. I suppose it’s forgivable since she does apologize for it claiming that the guy is really hot. I’ll take her word on it. Also unlike the other footage, most of Tricia’s footage is from the stage rather than the fence. It rounds things out very nicely.

Finally, there’s almost ten minutes of extra dancing. It all takes place on the stage and gives a nice feel for this part of Nudes A Poppin’. Nobody is credited for this footage, but it doesn’t have the interaction like the other scenes. It also feels kind of like it’s dubbed since there isn’t any crowd noise. If so, it’s done very well since the girls move very well to the music on the audio.

Finally, there’s a little more information. First, there’s information on websites. Second, there’s information on Nudes a Poppin’. A general location is included as well as a phone number to call for information and of course, when it is.

Raincoat Factor: If just having nude women is enough for you, then extreme. If you need more than just naked women, very low

Overall: Currently, Buttman at Nudes a Poppin’ 10 can be found online for between $23.50 and $30 with most stores offering it for about $25. If you love just looking at women, this is for you. Buttman and company do a great job of capturing as much of Nudes a Poppin’ as possible and give it a great transfer and extras. It’s not for everybody, so if you’re fairly unsure, you might want to rent it first rather than dishing out the big bucks right away.

Note to Evil Angel: This is a nice change from some of your normal releases but still fits in very nice. If I wouldn’t have had problems playing some of the DVD on my player, I would have given this one a 5.
