The First Word: Pretty much the same style, format, and videography as the first Bodyslammin' but the sex falls short of the original.

Plot Synopsis: Like its predecessor, this gonzo features a series of "real life" scenes, shot in music video style (in terms of camera movements, cuts, and special effects). Most of the scenes start out with an extended (multiple minutes) worth of documentary footage and softcore teasing, intermixed with quick hardcore shots. The first two scenes involve Missy and Alex Sanders bungee jumping off a bridge (including both of them together while naked), getting a BJ on the bridge, sharing some quick petting and oral in a helicopter, and finally performing a long scene in some motel room.

The next scene is set in a lingere shop in Hollywood, and Alex and Mark Davis take on five Hungarian women (after they get to shop for some things to take back home). Then Christgen Wolf and Alex go to a local classic car show in Alex's Hummer. Along the way, she goes down on him. Excuse me, but I don't appreciate the thought of someone who's driving a tank-sized military vehicle around my neighborhood getting a blowjob--I've seen Parenthood, thank you very much! Once back in the comfort of home, you get a better look at Christgen--definitely not my cup of tea, with overinflated tits and tatoos all over the place (including one of a tiger that occupies her entire left asscheek).

For some reason, that scene stops abruptly, pretty much in mid-stroke, and then the next scene starts. Supposedly shot during Spring Break in Padre Island, it could be stock footage since everything is moving so fast and all of the people are digitally obscured. Anyway, Alex "just meets" Wendi Knight, who we are led to believe is a college co-ed that he brings back to his hotel room to fuck. Aside from the fact that we've seen Wendy in other videos prior to this one, that she's got dancer's implants, and that she does the scene without a condom (including anal), we're supposed to suspend disbelief. Okay...

The video ends with a dimly-lit fiveway between Temptress, Dru Berrymore, Malitia, Alex, and Vince Vouyer. After the action, there's an (exotic) dancing sequence with the girls, enhanced with lots of kallidescope digital effects.

Notable Performances: Well, I actually found the non-sex sequences to be more interesting than the hardcore stuff. In my opinion, the sex is pretty typical gonzo work--well shot and edited, mind you, but still average. I'm sure you'd appreciate the video more if you are a fan of some of the stars--I'm not, so that explains my disinterest. The music was surprisingly good, including some modern-sounding R&B vocals that are a change of pace from the heavy-beat of porn rock. There's also a refreshing lack of music during the action, so you get a chance to hear what's going on.

Dislikes: First, with the exception of Nikki Anderson and maybe Wendi Knight, I really didn't find any of the girls all that attractive. I especially don't like to see Eastern European girls do X, given the fact some may not be in the business because they want to be. Nor do I go out of my way to watch videos with Alex Sanders since I'm not a fan of long-haired guys in porn. Next, the cover advertises 2 hours and 30 minutes as the running time, which is over 30 minutes shorter than what's delivered. To make matters worse, quite a bit of what is there is complete fast-forward material, including the "incredible special fx" computer graphics sequences. Not only are they laughable compared to professional CG, but they look pretty bad on DVD. Finally, I could have done without the gaping anal shots and the sprinkler pop shots (guy jerks off at the end and directs the spray in several directions in an attempt to get a little on every girl's face--just pick one face and end it there!).

DVD Notes: Pretty typical Digital Playground release: great audio and video but somewhat lacking on the extra content. I guess the "strip blackjack" game for DVD-ROM might be an interesting diversion, but I don't have a DVD-ROM drive to check it out.

The Last Word: If you like the cast or are a fan of Alex Sanders' view of what "The Future of Porn" is, you probably won't be as disappointed as I was. I thought Bodyslammin' #1 was a lot better than this volume, a clear case of the sophomore blues.
