Initial Reaction: It didn’t come close to fulfilling my appetite.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody who wants an emphasis on food rather than sex

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting a lot of sex

Audio /Video Quality: For the first half of the first scene, the music is the only audio. After that, you can hear the performers clearly. There aren’t many background noises or anything else that interferes with the audio badly, although there are a few areas where there is a bit of a hiss in the background. The video is nicely lit, but there’s some minor grain to it that’s even throughout the movie and a few areas with some pixelation popping in and soft focus problems.

Music: There’s only music in the first scene. It goes between loud and blaring in the first half and nicely balanced with the rest of the audio in the second. Unfortunately, it’s extremely cheesy and I couldn’t help but laugh at it.

Disc Complaints / Misleading Advertising: To start with, there’s my pet peeve of not having a time stamp, which always brings features down a notch or two for me as I like to be able to go directly to specific points in movies rather than having to scan through them to get where I want to go. Also, the cover makes it appear that there are four scenes in the movie, but there are only two. Heck, the back cover lays things out like a chapter menu, and doesn’t even get things in the same order as the movie! Due to these factors, I’m penalizing the overall score a half point.

Menus: The menus are very basic. The main menu is basically a still of the front and back of the boxcover. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a still photo of each scene.

The Feature: Blue Plate Special collects two scenes, each of which has a focus on food. There’s a very small lead-in to set the situation with the food, and from then on it’s more of a focus on playing with food than with sex.

Claudia Chase, dressed in a pink and white bikini, starts things out with Billy Glide, who’s wrapped in pink streamers, as they start what looks to be a naughty birthday party for one of them. Billy feeds Claudia some cake before rubbing it across her body and working his mouth across it. Claudia gets in the act too, with Billy pouring cream down his body as she sucks his cock. Afterwards, Billy gives it to Claudia missionary and doggie style as they fuck on a sheet of plastic with all the cream on it. The plastic disappears and everybody is magically cleaned up as they move into reverse pile driver. Billy pops on Claudia’s stomach, which now has a whipped cream heart on it, as well as in her mouth, where she has a few cherries.

This scene did very little for me. Claudia seems like she’s having fun, but Billy just seems to be kind of there. The scene seems a little odd with how they magically clean up in it, and it gives the scene a disjointed feel that really did interfere with my enjoyment of it. It’s a different scene, and the focus on the food for how long the scene is really isn’t my thing. Then again, maybe I just couldn’t get into it much since I often wasn’t that happy with the camera angles and although Claudia seemed into it, I never felt much chemistry because the camera barely showed him.

Candy Roxxx and Alex Sanders team up for the second scene. Alex is helping Luc with a photo shoot for Candy, who starts off in some clear fetishwear. Things seem just a little too clean, so Alex cracks an egg on Candy. He also feeds her a raw egg, which she takes in her mouth and then lets drip down her chest. They follow things up with some strawberry ice cream topping and honey before Alex cleans it up a little with his tongue. He licks her ass as well as her pussy before Luc asks for more, so Alex grabs the Jell-O he had in his lunch, proving that yes, there’s always room for Jell-O! He feeds her the Jell-O off the floor, as well as some cream, plays with her as he has her sit on some pudding, Jell-O, and whipped cream, and feeds her a banana with whipped cream before finally fucking her from behind. Candy also takes it missionary style before spooning her, which is probably the most appropriate position in the entire movie. Finally, Alex pops in Candy’s mouth, and lets her spit it out on her face and possibly even swallow some.

This scene leaves me with very mixed feelings. The food section of the scene did next to nothing for me, but once it got into the sex it was excellent! There’s great chemistry between Alex and Candy, and although I didn’t care for the food section of this scene I can’t deny that it began and built up very well from there and through the sex. There’s great looks between them where you can tell they’re really spurring each other on, and it makes this a scene that had a lousy beginning but a great ending for me.

Blue Plate Special is a different feature that didn’t do a lot for me. I’ll admit right away that most of the food stuff here didn’t do a lot for me, and often turned me off. I know there are people out there who really like food play, so I have to give Luc Wylder a lot of credit for making a movie for their fetish while basically everybody else out there ignores them. I’m sure that they will enjoy this movie a lot more than I did, but I can see them having problems as well due to the obvious clean-up breaks, which are much more noticeable during the first scene than the second. The sex left me hot and cold. Claudia’s scene had a few moments which were mostly in the beginning, but overall it didn’t do much for me. Candy’s scene started off poorly for me, but when it got into the sex it really picked up and worked very well for me. In the end, Blue Plate Special is a feature made for a certain group of people, and although they’ll probably enjoy it, most other people will leave it sit in the back of the fridge until it’s time to clean it out.

Extras: The only extra is a photo gallery lasting about a minute and three quarters with about five seconds per nice looking snapshot.

Overall: Currently, Blue Plate Special can be found between about $10 and $22, with stores offering it everywhere in between. If you’re a food freak, then this one will probably be worth your money, but anybody who’s just curious about it will want to rent it first due to the strong food focus. The technical aspects are a little weak, and there’s nothing to speak of for extras.

Note to Fallen Angel / Adam & Eve: Although I didn’t care for this one, thanks for making something for the food freaks out there! A few extras would have also been nice, but your current releases show that you’ve learned that since this time.
