Beaverdale is Pornhub's second original movie, following last year's Full Holes. Despite the name, Beaverdale is a parody of the Archie comics and the characters as they are in the comic and not the new television series Riverdale on The CW Television Network as the name might imply. In fact, Beaverdale appears to have been quickly renamed to cash in on the new series since the end credits still call the movie Archie: The XXX Parody.

Basing Beaverdale on the old comic strips isn't a bad idea since those are the characters that most viewers will be familiar with and therefore opens up Beaverdale to a far wider audience than the movie would have if it was based on the newer versions in Riverdale. As far as mimicking the characters from Archie, Beaverdale does a wonderful job. Tyler Nixon does an amazing job in the title role as Archie Andrews. This reviewer would never have thought of him in this role but after seeing him this reviewer can't see anyone else in the blue screen movie sphere tackling the role. Tommy Pistol does an amazing job as the supporting character Reggie Mantle. Piper Perri and Janice Griffith go well in their roles as Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge respectively. Xander Corvus does a good Jughead Jones as well in an amusing sex scene with Cheryl Blossom (Lena Paul).

The sets that were made for Beaverdale are well done, except for one obvious mistake, and fit the movie well. The location that is used for Reggie's house works well too. They fit the feeling of the movie and helped with the Archie feel. The only mistake was Betty's closet. The door was left open and when it came into the camera view, it was obviously not a closet. It is unfortunate this gaffe wasn't caught and fixed during the shooting of the movie.

The sex scenes are well done with the cast staying in character throughout them. There are three of them and they last for a little over twenty minutes each. The scene with Pistol and Cooper is great with Pistol displaying the vanity of Reggie throughout the scene in a highly amusing sex scene. Betty and Veronica fighting over Archie while in bed with him for their threesome is a great scene as well. The music used in the movie is good.

Where Beaverdale really falls down is the plot. There isn't one. Not even a poor attempt at one. Beaverdale is, literally, three set-ups with characters from the Archie comics each with a sex scene. This reviewer found it disappointing with all the work that went into the sets, costumes, and characters just to have no plot especially where a really fun one could have been put together. Overall, the lack of a plot is the only real complaint that this viewer has with the movie.

The edition of Beaverdale screened is the streaming only version available from Pornhub Premium, which is the only place Beaverdale is available. Beaverdale is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 and appears to have been shot digitally. Beaverdale is presented in 1080p, 720p, 480p, and 240p. The movie looks nice with a flawless image with beautiful colors. Viewers shouldn't have any issues with the video quality. There is a bug in the lower right-hand corner of the screen that says “Pornhub Premium” through all but the second scene. For some reason, the bug changes in the second scene only to “pornhub.com/archie.”

Beaverdale is presented with an English 2.0 Stereo audio track which works just fine for the material being presented within the movie. The dialog is clear and understandable throughout the movie and the movie sounds nice.

Pornhub hasn't included much for extras for their release of Beaverdale. They have included three trailers for Beaverdale, a dark trailer, a comic trailer, and a hardcore trailer.

Beaverdale is the second feature film from Pornhub and, despite the name, is a parody of the Archie comics, not the new The CW Television Network show Riverdale. The movie does a great job recreating the Archie comic characters and bringing them into the adult world. Unfortunately, instead of being a feature film, Beaverdale is a vignette movie with just a set-up and sex scene with each one being unconnected outside of having Archie characters in them. The sex scenes are well done, though. Pornhub has done a good job with their release with nice video and audio but the extras are lacking.
