Initial Expectations: I've put up memory blocks to the point that I can't even remember the name of the last stinkeroo that Dale Jordan made for Hustler. I can't say that I'm expecting anything more here.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is clear and well balanced, but there were a couple very minor background noises. The video is nicely presented in anamorphic widescreen. It's nicely lit but shows just a hint of grain and camera motion.

Music: None

False Advertising: The cover lists a behind the scenes featurette among the extras, but as happens all too often with Hustler, none appears on the DVD. I'm deducting a half point from the overall score because of this. There's also phone sex commercials before the main menu that you can't skip past or even fast forward through. It's bad enough when one can't scan through them, let alone being forced to sit through the whole damn thing. This pisses me off to the point that I'm deducting another full point from the overall score rather than just the half point for not being able to skip past it.

Menus: The main menu is okay and blends a bit of the boxcover with some light animation for an okay first impression. The chapter menu nicely lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the girl(s) in it. There's also a Select a Star option that lets you not just choose a scene based on each girl's name and a still of her, but then choose where you want to go in the scene sexually.

The Feature

Drop It Like It's Hot focuses on girls who want to be strippers. Some girls dream about it while others jump right into it. Some of them even try going to stripper school to learn the tricks of the trade.

Scene 1 – Emily Evermoore, Cheyne Collins, and Van Damage

Cute dirty blonde Emily starts the action out in a little pink bra and sexy skirt dancing around the Barely Legal strip joint pole as Van mouths off to her from sniffer's row. Bouncer Cheyne tries to keep him in line when he keeps moving towards the stage, and after he gets rid of everybody else convinces her to give Van a bit of a “private show” as he joins Van on the row. Van grabs her ass as she shakes it for him before Emily starts eagerly sucking his cock a little later. Of course Cheyne gets in on the ass worship and cock sucking as well, and even gets the first fuck reverse cowgirl style as Emily continues to work Van over orally. Van takes his turn fucking her from behind while she works on Cheyne orally and spoons her before popping on her face. Cheyne gives her a second load all over her smiling face.

This is a borderline average scene. Emily is cute, but the stripper aspect is cheesier than the state of Wisconsin. The chemistry is pretty average with nobody really getting into it enough to take it past the cheesy feeling. The camera work is also okay, and the balance between the guys gave the scene a lopsided feeling. This scene might make it to the average level, but if it does it isn't by much.

Scene 2 – Page Morgan, Buster Good, and John West

Cute blonde Page shows up at Buster and John's stripper school in a black frilly bra and panties with small white polka dots and matching platform sandals. They start checking to see if she's confident enough to be a stripper before learning that she doesn't even know how to give a proper blowjob. John helps strip off her panties as she licks and strokes her way around Buster before moving up to join in on Page's oral training. Page puts out plenty of spit as she tries taking the guys into her throat before they move her onto her next lesson with a reverse cowgirl ride from John. She lies back so Buster can fuck her missionary style before John moves in to take his turn and let her ride him cowgirl style. Page also rides Buster reverse cowgirl style and sucks him clean before letting John and Buster trade off fucking her doggie style and getting their knobs gobbled. The guys fuck her a little more before Buster pops on the desk with John moving in to fuck her from behind a bit more as she licks it up. Finally, John dribbles a pop in front of her mouth as she opens wide for it.

This is another scene that just couldn't make it past the average mark. The stripper school setup seems like it's being played as if it's high quality humor, but instead comes across as just plain sad. It also doesn't help Page out. Cute as she is and no matter what she's really like, it makes her look dumb as a fencepost with the scene coming off as being more about taking advantage of a dumb girl as anything. That just didn't work for me, and once again there wasn't really anything that engaging about the sex. This is another average at best scene.

Scene 3 – Jacqueline Summers and Jay Ashley

Jacqueline, a cute brunette with her hair in twin ponytails, starts out the next scene cuddling with a huge stuffed rabbit as Jay comes into her room knowing she wants to talk with him. She tells him she had a dream about being a stripper in Vegas, and being flattered agrees to help teach her when she asks him. Jay sits on the edge of her bed and has her give him a private show stripping out of her little pink skirt and white spaghetti strap top as Jay gives her a few tips. He slaps her ass a bit as she shakes it for him and draws her attention to how hard she's making his cock as she grinds against it. Moments later Jacqueline's getting face fucked and soon after Jay's having her eat his ass. She climbs up to bounce on Jay's bone cowgirl style, and he has her work over his undercarriage again before pounding her holes doggie style and slamming her ass in reverse cowgirl. They slap each other a bit while Jay tells her that there's now “Ow” in porn and has her work her pussy up to four fingers at the same time. Jacqueline gapes nicely as he fucks her and lets him work his way between her holes hard her holes missionary style before finally popping a thick load on her tongue.

This is a pretty good scene. Jay comes off as his naturally creepy self and brings an edge to the scene that helps it to stand out against all of the bland sex in the rest of the movie. Sadly, that isn't always a good thing as he comes off appearing that his partner's limits don't matter to him with the “There's no 'Ow' in porn” comment. Jacqueline does a very nice job for her portion of the scene, and does a great job taking the anal and mixing in some nice gapes. It looks like there was a good ass to mouth shot cut out of the scene, which was a bit of a disappointment, but other than that this just might be the best scene in the movie.

Scene 4 – Cameron, Ryme, and Talon

Dirty blonde Ryme and trashy brunette Cameron meet behind the stage before Ryme heads out to dance for Talon. Cameron heads out to join her soon after where they get it on very lightly before Talon joins them on stage for them to start sucking his cock. The girls nicely work on each other's tits while sucking Talon before Cameron lets him start fucking him from behind. Ryme takes her turn on Talon's tool reverse cowgirl style before sucking Talon's cock clean as he fucks Cameron standing up. Cameron stacks herself on top of Ryme for Talon to work his way between them from behind as well as bending over next to her. This scene takes the movie back to mediocrity. The chemistry leaves plenty to be desired, and as usual Talon just kind of comes off as a dick. Thanks to the camera work, that's also about all you can see of him. The bit of interaction between the girls is nice, but it's also so limited that it doesn't really matter. This is yet another average at best scene.

Scene 5 – Jewels and Sarah Blake

Brunette Jewels struts up wearing a purple bra and panties to where redheaded Sarah is checking out a box on the counter. They talk about what “Drop it like it's hot” means before Sarah kisses a very willing Jewels. They help each other strip off their tops so they can check out each other's tits before Sarah keeps working her way south to lick Jewel's slit. When Sarah gets up to let Jewel's return the favor she's a bit surprised when Jewel's pulls out a crop to slap her ass with. She's more than willing to try it, and more than eager when Jewels starts working her tongue around her holes. The girls move on to sixty-nine a bit before Jewels works Sarah to a nice orgasm. Finally the girls kiss and head off together.

This is scene might make it just past the average mark. The girls are both darn cute, and there's nice chemistry between them. The action is pretty standard, but at the same time earns points for not breaking out the toys to make the scene “interesting” or to move it along. At the same time, the camera work is extremely bland and almost always left me wanting a slightly different angle or a different zoom. Instead it just wandered lackadaisically around the action. The girls had the potential to make this a great scene, but sadly there wasn't the talent behind the camera to get it there.

Barely Legal: Drop It Like It's Hot is a very forgettable movie. The idea of building the movie around stripper wannabes and a stripper school has some nice potential, but the setups are so lame that Jacqueline's was the only one which really came off well out of the entire movie. Sadly, the sex is much the same way. Most of it seems so generic you might wonder why the movie didn't come in a plain white box with large black letters on it instead of putting the effort into the boxcover to let you know who each of the girls in the movie is with a photo of them and their name. Sadly, the boxcover and the anamorphic transfer are the parts of the entire release that show the only real care. Jacqueline's scene with Jay and the final scene between Sarah and Jewels are easily the best in the movie, but they never make it too far past the average level. Although they had some nice potential, the camera work felt like the cameraman was paying more attention to his watch and when his next chance was for a 7-11 hot dog and slurpee than he was to the action in front of him. It never showed any care or enthusiasm for the performers and just seemed to wander around. With Drop It Like It's Hot, Dale Jordan once again made me wonder why a company with Hustler's resources let him direct a movie for them. I could maybe understand it if they were searching for a new director to bring their Barely Legal line up, but when one compares the work Jordan does here to the stuff Will Rider and X-Play have been doing, I'm not sure Jordan even has the skill to be a jizz mopper on X-Play's set. Drop It Like It's Hot is a good idea of what to do with this release.

The photo gallery lasts a little under four minutes with about six seconds per pretty good snapshot or full screen photo. The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Hustler’s DVDs can be found online for between about $16 and $25 with stores offering it everywhere in between. Rent this one before you buy it. The anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio is easily the most impressive thing about the DVD, with the camera work and sex hovering around the average mark and always feeling extremely generic. Although the cover suggests that there's a bit of effort put into the extras, that too is generic and shows no real effort. This is a very unimpressive DVD.

Note to Hustler: First, please watch your cover claims and dump the mandatory commercials. I have yet to know of a person who isn't annoyed by not getting what's advertised and then being forced to sit through material they don't want to watch. Second, I hope Dale Jordan works darn cheap.
