Synopsis:
Keri Windsor owns the Bare Essentials lingerie shop and her husband Randy Spears had left her life. He suddenly shows back up throwing her life into turmoil.

Audio/Video:
Bare Necessities is presented with an English 2.0 Stereo track, which is all that is necessary for this film. The film is mostly dialog driven through the plot portions, so no fancy audio tracks are necessary. The dialog is clear and easy to hear throughout the film. Adam & Eve haven't included any foreign language tracks or any subtitle options for the film.

Bare Necessities is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1, which appears to be the original aspect ratio for the film. The video is beautiful with a clean, crisp and clear picture sporting no artifacts, blemishes or glitches anywhere to be seen. The color levels are set correctly.

Special Features:
Adam & Eve has included a few extras on the disc. The most expansive of which is a 24 minute piece called Behind the Scenes of Bare Necessities. This fun piece covers the making of the film and some off camera hijinx that went on during the filming. There are some biographies included on the disc for Keri Windsor, Ruby, Nakita Kash, Chenin Blanc, Randy Spears, Kyle Stone, Ian Daniels, and Steve Hatcher, which include some basic text information and a picture of the star from the film. There is a photo gallery that contains 20 thumbnails of photos and you click on the thumbnail for the full sized photo. And last, but not least, are trailers for Skin Tight, Sweetheart Trilogy, Taboo of Tarot, Taste of a Woman, Unforgettable, Whispering Hearts, Wild Ride, A Witch's Tail, X-Girls, and X-Professionals.

There are ten chapters available from the main menu for Bare Necessities. One-half of the chapters are identified by a video clip from the scene that they go to and the other half are designated as the hot shot, which brings you to the cum shot for each sex scene. More chapter stops would have been desirable but these are acceptable. There is a time code for the feature film encoded on the disc.

General Review:
Bare Necessities is a plot based adult film from Adam & Eve and although the story is very weak, it is still an entertaining film. The plot itself is basically just fodder to occupy the time in between the sex scenes. This is unfortunate because given some of the cast members, Keri Windsor and Randy Spears for example, I was hoping for a much better film.

The cast looks nice, for the most part, and brings some good energy to their scenes. The worst part of the casting, in my opinion, was Steve Hatcher. There is no real acting that goes on in the film, so the cast's ability to get into a role doesn't work for or against the film. For some reason I've never really cared for him and always end up slightly disappointed to see him in a feature. But to each their own, I'm sure that some viewers are happy to see his name in the credits.

The sex scenes are better than ones I have seen in the past from director Roy Karch. Here, unlike past films that I have seen, the scenes aren't as formulaic or monotonous. The sex is tame with only mild aspects, so ‘raincoaters' and fans of nasty sex will probably not enjoy this one. This is a great film for fans of tame sex or couples though. The sexual themes in the film are vaginal and anal sex with pussy eating, blow jobs, anilingus, pussy fingering, and titty fucking. For viewers that care about such things, there are no condoms used in the film.

The Scenes:
The first scene brings us Nikita Kash and Ian Daniels for a scene that starts out with some pussy eating before going into the blow job. The scene finishes with some vaginal sex. The second scene gives us Sabrina Maui and Kyle Stone and starts out with an anilingus and pussy eating combo before going into the blow job. The scene concludes with some vaginal sex.

The third scene features Ruby and Steve Hatcher and starts out with a blow job before going into the vaginal sex. The scene concludes with the only anal sex in the film. The fourth scene features Chenin Blanc and Cheyne Collins and starts out with some pussy eating before going into the blow job. Before the vaginal sex conclusion there is some titty fucking.

The fifth and final scene features Keri Windsor and Randy Spears and starts out with a blow job before going into some vaginal sex. The scene then goes into some pussy eating before going back to the vaginal sex to conclude the scene and the film.

Parting Thoughts:
The story is rather weak, but the sex scenes are tame and good making this a good film for fans of tamer sex and couples. Viewers that like a complex story or nastier sex will want to look elsewhere. Otherwise this film makes for a good rental or purchase if you can find it on sale or for a cheaper price.
