Director Erika Lust rounds up three young men and three young women for "six portraits of true intimacy, personal interviews and real orgasms" in her BARCELONA SEX PROJECT (2008, Lust Films of Barcelona) that plays like a sort of time capsule as we get to know each person then each interview segues into a brief masturbation finale. Standard frame. 1 hour and 51 minutes.

The interviews and masturbation sequences take place in white environs. Each participant seems to dress in a normal casual fashion for the interview as answers to questions are edited into one long dialog that also includes some home footage of each participant. Then, various shots from each masturbation scene are assembled via quick edits. In this case, that's a major plus so let's give a shout out to editor Carol-Cut for a job well done.

First up, red head Silvia Rubi, who has plenty of piercings, can not stand extremists but she likes her tats and wants more of them. We see her out and about during Carnival but that's all rather brief and intercut into her interview. At one point, on set, the camera takes a survey of her tattoos with a variety of body shots focusing on each tattoo. She lands into a retro blob-like chair for her masturbation scene where her legs adorned with black and white striped stockings hang off the side. She's listening to music while she fingers her pussy and the music is turned up for her orgasmic finale.

Ex-Navy guy David Galant is up next. He expresses his love for the sea and his pooch Kron then we watch as he and the pooch are in the kitchen for some cooking. He lands on pale green Japanese matting and unrolls a sleeping bag for his masturbation performance that concludes when he kneels into his stroking and leans backwards for a cum shot that coats his hand. During his interview, the camera forgoes the usual home-movie aspect to follow Joel to one of his strip club gigs where a woman appears on stage to get a lap dance. On set, he masturbates atop a bench then stands next to a long mirror to watch himself drop his load that drips down.

An 11 minute BTS is mostly a solid interview with Erika, who talks about male-dominated porn and what's lacking in today's porn market. She makes plenty of good points and now deserves kudos for uncorking such high caliber porn as her recent feature CABARET DESIRE and other short films. Let's hope that Erika has more where that came from and let's give her earlier entry BARCELONA SEX PROJECT (2008, Lust films of Barcelona) a !!! outta !!!!!
