Note: It appears that Metro is re-releasing many of its older titles. This title was released in roughly Sept. 2003, and features trailers for current Metro releases on the movie side of the DVD rather than a B-side full of trailers as well as a menu design that’s different from much of the rest of the releases from this series.

Initial Expectations: The last couples episodes really slipped in this series for me. I’m hoping Jim Enright can breathe a little new life into it.

Initial Reaction: It’s a nice step up from the last few episodes.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting a nice mix of all girl action

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting very light and playful all girl action or extremely nasty all girl action

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is normally clear, but sometimes dubbed. The video has a bit of grain and a few shadows, but is normally pretty clear. The technical aspects are far from perfect, but for the age of the feature it looks and sounds great.

Music: The music is pretty typical porno music, but is nicely balanced with the rest of the audio.

Menus: The main menu is pretty simple, and adds a little animation around a picture of the boxcover. The chapter menu is pretty standard and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a scene number.

The Feature: Babes Illustrated returns to the swimsuit industry with the fifth installment. This time Shanna McCullough is supplying the money for the company while Kaitlyn Ashley designs the swimsuits. The other girls model the suits as well as getting busy every chance they get while a couple years later things seem to unravel due to business and art clashing. Little do either of them know that there’s even more going on that they haven’t a clue about.

Kaitlyn Ashley starts things off with Shanna McCullough on a bed with Shanna wearing some sexy but simple lingerie while Kaitlyn wears a simple flowered robe. Kaitlyn works Shanna over before Shanna rides her tongue. Shanna returns the favor with a jelly double dildo to pile driver Kaitlyn. The girls nicely trade control of the dildo back and forth before finally sealing the scene with a kiss.

This is a nicely done scene. It starts out feeling a bit familiar, but nicely moves beyond that with the jelly double dildo. Kaitlyn and Shanna have great chemistry throughout the scene and nicely keep the energy up as well. This is a hot scene that feels a bit unique and a very nice way to start out the feature.

Photographer Caressa Savage and model Shyla Foxxx get it on in the second scene. Shyla resists at first, but Caressa refuses to take no for an answer and goes to work attacking Shya’s twat with her tongue. Shyla loses her shyness to attack Caressa from behind as Caressa demands that she slaps her ass, pulls her hair, pulls her garter belt, and just keeps fucking her harder. Shyla nearly works Caressa up to her fist before she switches over to a dildo while Caressa fingers her ass. Shyla gives it to Caressa’s ass with another toy before letting Caressa finger her pussy and fuck it with a vibe.

This is a great scene! Shyla’s resistance at the start is nicely done, and Caressa’s over the top vocals and great energy really makes the scene work. Shyla gets into it nicely as the scene goes, and almost seems to match Caressa for energy near the end. This is a hot and energetic scene that’s bound to drain more than a few sets of balls!

Lingerie models Celine Devoux and Tracy Love show Tiffany Mynx what they have to offer for the third scene. Tiffany has Celine tongue-fuck Tracy’s ass before exploring it a little herself. The girls team up on Tiffany next, with Tracy giving her four fingers, before the models split off while Tiffany watches and fucks her ass with a dildo. Sadly, the scene fades out when the porno timer appears to go off.

Except for the ending, this is an extremely hot scene! Celine isn’t in the scene fully, as she barely receives, but Tracy and Tiffany drive the scene with such energy that any more might have pushed the scene over the edge. The girls work each other over extremely well and all appear to be completely into their role. It’s an extremely hot scene, and even the horrible ending didn’t bring the scene down too much.

Models Celine Devoux, Felecia, Shyla Foxxx, and Tracy Love get it with photographer Caressa Savage on the set in the fourth scene. The action moves around nicely with the girls putting some nice energy into the scene. They start out naturally before moving onto vibes, strap-ons, buttplugs, and a heavy anal emphasis with both Tracy and Celine nicely taking it in the keister before the girls wrap things up with a bit of kissing.

This scene leaves me with mixed emotions. On one side, it flows nicely and does a great job working up to the anal and toys. On the other, I don’t like the style of the scene. It’s very jumpy and focuses quite a bit on close-ups with few views that shows all the people involved in one sex group. Unlike the other scenes, the music is the only audio in the scene which holds it back a bit. In the end, this scene falls a bit above average while feeling like it had the potential to go much, much further.

Kaitlyn Ashley and secretary Monique DeMoan get it on in the penultimate scene. The girls undress before Kaitlyn rips open Monique’s fishnets to get at her twat. Monique goes at Kaitlyn from behind with plenty of fingers, spankings, and a tongue for Kaitlyn’s bung before letting Kaitlyn fuck her with a strap-on. Kaitlyn stretches both of Monique’s holes before finishing things up kissing Monique on the shoulder.

This is another hot and heavy scene! Kaitlyn and Monique nicely keep things moving, and it reaches its heavy anal ending feeling natural rather than feeling forced. Kaitlyn and Monique both look like they’re really into all the action, and make this easily one of the hottest scenes in the movie!

Shyla Foxxx finishes things up with Felecia, who’s looking extremely hot wearing glasses here. Felecia strips off Shyla’s tall black boots to suck her toes and rub Shyla’s stockinged feet across her nipples before Shyla dives right into Felecia’s twat. Felecia quickly breaks out a dildo for Shyla to work on her pussy with before going after Shyla’s oversized melons. Felecia quickly moves down under with a dildo as well as going after her with her tongue. Felecia eats Shyla’s ass and goes after it with a vibe while Shyla works on her clit with another vibe and even a dildo for a technical DP. Finally the girls finish things up with some nice kissing.

This is a great scene to finish things up with. Shyla and Felecia have great chemistry, and both look hot as can be! They put some nice energy into a great scene, and keep the flow moving very well. I love Felecia in glasses and the foot action really started things out right. The only thing I didn’t care for here were some of the angles, but even with some weak angles this is easily one of the best scenes in the feature!

Babes Illustrated 5 breathes some nice life into a series that seemed to be sinking quickly. The story keeps things moving very nicely, and even throws a twist or two in when you think it’s going to be just your typical porno plot. The sex builds things up nicely, starting with a fairly standard lesbian scene and working its way up to some heavy anal and toy usage. The biggest problem here is that the camera sometimes focuses on close-ups more than I like to see, but other than that it’s nicely done. I’ll admit that as much as I was hoping that Jim Enright would breathe life into this series, I was just as afraid that Babes Illustrated 5 would just keep sinking. I’m happy to say that I was wrong and that Babes Illustrated 5 is a darn hot all girl feature!

Extras: Trailers are included for Blue Screen, Being Porn Again, 18 and a James Avalon movie that doesn’t appear to have a title yet but looks darn hot. The photo gallery contains roughly twenty nice looking snapshots. There’s also internet and phone sex information.

Overall: Currently, most of the Babes Illustrated series can be found online for between $12 and $25 with a few stores offering them near the low end. Although there isn’t much for extras, this one is well worth the low end. The movie is hot and fairly nasty, and the technical aspects look very good for the age of the feature. This one deserves to be checked out by all lesbian fans who like toys and a bit of nastiness!

Note to Metro: It’s nice to see you re-releasing your older titles, but a few more extras would really set them off nicely. A separate chapter for each of the trailers would also be great, as well as a submenu to allow viewers to jump directly to the trailer of their choice.
