Filmed and edited by Eddie Powell, THE ART OF MASTURBATION (2013, New Sensations) takes a tired porn niche and turns it into a lovely, erotic collection of interwoven masturbation sequences that are joined together by a sort of "day in the life" scenario with one woman pleasuring herself, finishing, then another takes over the following action. Powell captures 6 lovely ladies in action that's just over 90 minutes with wonderful videography mixed with music and natural sounds of the performers. Beautifully shot in wide screen with an array of diagonals that feature, in most cases, a partially dressed female figure enjoying the fruits of her labor.

The opening focuses on RILEE MARKS as she fingers herself while she watches an out of focus duo sucking and fucking in blurry foreground action that's relegated to one side of the frame or the other at different intervals; an ambient music piece blends with the sound of an alarm going off and the lovely HAYDEN WINTERS awakens and plays with herself under the covers until she gets a pink dildo out of the drawer, pleasures herself then heads to the bath room; there, KIERA WINTERS brushes her teeth and heads to the shower for her wet and wonderful solo scene followed by her getting dressed; in similar clothes, busty CAPRI CAVANNI gets into her truck, twists and plays with her long hair while listening to an erotically charged talk radio program then pulls into a parking lot to lean against the driver's side window for her solo; ALLESANDRA SNOW gets out of the vehicle and walks inside her work place where she closes the door to her office, puts one long lovely leg upon the desk for her solo that gets too loud and alerts someone else in the office to listen outside of the door; a dissolve, a vehicle arrives home where cute blonde LILLY BANKS undresses, climbs onto a couch, channel surfs with a remote then turns to a thin book that she holds, reads, and begins pleasuring herself until she's on her knees in her bed reading and fingering herself in a lovely doggy position that ends her solo scene; she puts down the book, climbs into bed and lights out.

CAPRI'S solo inside that massive vehicle is just about perfect so let's give that a !!!!! for including some toe sucking as lagniappe. So, Eddie Powell has really raised the bar with THE ART OF MASTURBATION (2013, New Sensations) with 6 solo scenes that are fine as individual scenes but are even better when taken as an interwoven whole. It works as a sort of sexual time capsule that really lets the viewer into a private world where young women become sexually aroused then do something about it. !!!! outta !!!!! for this artful, erotic exercise.
