NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies don’t have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. I’m rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The performers also aren’t normally the ‘glamour stars’ one expects from studio porn, and instead use people who look like somebody you might encounter in your day to day life. Finally, the camera work has a different feel, as it’s often shot from a tripod or with somebody who doesn’t have the technical training or experience of professional cameramen. The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are okay. The audio is okay. It’s fairly clear, but is also a little scratchy in points and the balance falters a little. There’s also a few comments between the performers and the cameraman. The bigger problem, though, is that there’s a very loud beep roughly every five minutes. The video is pretty good. There’s a little grain but there’s very little camera shake and it’s nicely lit.

Menus: The main menu is extremely basic, and lets you make a selection based on a few small stills. The only animation it has is to advertise the brand name and websites, which really kind of turned me off. The chapter menu is extremely basic, and lets you choose a scene based on a small still of each still.

The Feature

The technical aspects are okay, but there isn’t a lot of effort put into the extras. This is a pretty average put together amateur DVD.
