American Buttman In London, An Review

A mildly entertaining title with plenty of scenic shots of London, care-free, fun natured sex scenes and a profuse amount of tease footage of curvaceous women. Clearly, this is a title for viewers that will enjoy reminiscing over a much older Evil Angel release while the rest of us will deem An American Buttman In London one big yawn, especially in comparison to the current benchmark.

It is 1991, and while embracing a camera with one hand and pleasuring himself with the other, a young John Stagliano's Buttman frantically fumbles through a small, messy loft riddled with porn magazines in search of that one exciting, stimulating, thought-provoking imagery of smut that will bring him to his sexual peak - and folks, it ain't pretty. Following his displayed, gritty state of euphoria, John decides to make a trip to London for a taste of the real thing and after calling his good friend Dario (Rocco Siffredi), we find Buttman on an airplane, then on the streets of London hitting on Misty McCaine. A tall, curvy girl with a solid booty and a british smile.

Buttman and Misty make their way to a hair salon, Misty's place of employment, and plenty of tease follows with the store manager, Linzi Drew, a tall, aging blonde sporting a zebra patterned dress and tacky red & black lingerie. An attractive, dark male that goes by the name Michael, who just happens to be a London stripper, is also present for a "hair cut". Breasts are exposed and round rumps are caressed before Misty and Michael do the deed (consisting of fellatio and vag sex) in the salon as John films the action with a strong emphasis on capturing Misty's curves. A passable scene with a copious amount of tease.

Again, we find Buttman on the streets of London, this time accompanied by a youthful Rocco Siffredi, as the two attempt to pick up Sara Jane, a tall dirty blonde and Sarah Walker, a short, boyish blonde. After several minutes of following the girls on the streets and repeated rejections by the two ladies, they finally agree to get together for "drinks" at their apartment. There's plenty of laughs and giggles and the three take part in a playful romp as John, once again, captures all the action. It's not an erotic scene, but fun to watch and very playful in nature. You can expect plenty of vag sex and a brief anal fingering before the girls stroke out a popshot to their chins.

The remainder of movie follows the same formula. Plenty of scenic shots of London, including the women, as John strolls the streets leading to a very forgettable vag sex scene between Louise Drysden and an english guy, a copious amount of girl on girl play with Linzi Drew and Carrie Jones back in the salon and a concluding romp between Rocco, Sara Jane, and the very beautiful, Louise Armani.

Overall, while I can appreciate how An American Buttman In London captures a sense of time and place, and very well at that, it's an antediluvian title that lacks the technical merits, sexual heat, harder edge and filthier smut that can be found in more current Evil Angel DVD's. Or perhaps I'm just too young to appreciate a title of this spirit or nature and reminisce over 'what was'? So is An American Buttman In London worthy of a spin? In my opinion, no.

The DVD menus are pleasant and easy to navigate but the extras are lean and a bit of a disappointment. They consist of a photo gallery, filmographies and movie trailers for Anal Show 4 and The Fashionistas.
