Amazing Sex Talk: Collector's Edition Review

The First Word:  A pretty good concept, a misleading title, and an amazing facial scene are characteristics of this all-sex video hosted by Nikki Tyler.

What's It About?:  Despite what the title suggests, this is not a video devoted to girls talking dirty.  Rather, it's Metro's attempt to create a a new series that's part interview show, part all-sex video, and part compilation.  The "show" is hosted by Nikki Tyler, who despite all of her talents as a sex performer isn't cut out to be the host of anything.  After some footage of some people dancing around a pool, Nikki introduces the first scene.

"Bananas" - Anais, Gerard Sky, and K.T. Joe - Directed by one of my A-list directors, Kris Kramski, this first scene is more than a little wierd.  Anais, a bleached blonde, is in a yellow room filled with yellow inflatable bananas.  She starts playing with a cucumber-like dildo, but soon turns to a couple of guys wearing yellow hoods (making them look like festive Klansmen).  Definitely a combination of the wierd and the artsy, I couldn't help thinking of Cafe Flesh and some of the weird pornos I've seen over the years.   There's quite a bit of oral and anal, but between the shifting colors and blizzard of cuts (I don't think there's a shot that lasts more than 10 seconds), it's hard to get into the scene.

"Fireman" - Stacy Valentine & Mark Davis - The next vignette is directed by Brad Armstrong & Greg Steele (why'd they need two directors for one sex scene?) in a firefighter's fantasy.  Stacy is sleeping in her bed as digital flames are filling her bedroom.  Our hoseman, Mark Davis, enters the room, and as he tries to pick her up, the two begin to embrace.  Stacy (who doesn't yet have her monster fake tits) chows down on Mark's pipe in her trademark wide-eyed way.  It's lovingly obscene to watch Stacy get steadily fucked, both vaginally and anally (the anal penetration is great) before makes his deposit on her outstretched tongue.

There's a brief break as Nikki reads from the Amazing Sex Talk Mailbag.  The letters are complete bullshit and any hope of getting a laugh from the jokes is lost with Nikki's awful, stilted acting.  Fortunately, it's a brief detour, and we're quickly back on track.

"Rock Climbing" - Lisa Harper, Jack Hammer, and Paul Cox - One of my least favorite directors, John T. Bone, presents this fantasy that involves two long-haired guys screwing a very thin Lisa Harper in the outdoors (of what looks suspiciously like the foothills of Chatsworth, California).  I think the scene can be summed up this:  there's a point where Lisa's asshole is gaped, spit upon, and a fly lands right there.  Sound like pure John T. Bone to me!  The freak show continues with a double anal penetration and finishes with couple of grimacing guys cuming on Lisa (although one of the shots is a nice, messy oral pop).

Misty Rain is the guest star for the interview section, and she and Nikki are sitting on a hilltop lawn, surrounded by plastic flamingo ornaments.  They talk about their most embarrassing moments as porn stars, mostly involving messy anal and tampon strings.  Then Misty discusses her MistyCam series before the two start playing with some flavored lubes. It's not that good of a girl-girl scene, but I liked it when Nikki fucked Misty with the lube bottle.

Scene from Makin' Whoopee (Jace Rocker, Director) - Brittany Andrews & Jonathan Morgan - In the "Director's Spotlight" segment, Metro has included a full length scene from the porn comedy Makin' Whoopee.  Huge hootered Brittany wears ridiculously big hair and has the Betty Boop accent as she spreads her shaved pussy on JM's desk.  Jonathan goes to town, first tongue fucking her and then sucking her dangling lips.  The best part of the scene comes with the blowjob, tit fuck, and doggy shots -- all are great eye candy.

"Industrious" - Nikki Tyler and Peter North - This vignette, directed by Marco, is hands-down the best scene in this video.  It's the reason why I bought this DVD, after renting the VHS tape a few years ago.  It starts out pretty slowly, with Nikki and another girl dancing around a stylized construction set, with buff construction worker Peter North working closeby.  When the sex finally begins, Nikki gets eaten out while arching her back and thrusting her mound into Beercan's mouth.  From here on out, it's nothing but steamy -- no, it's scalding -- as the two 69 with Nikki on top and then fuck in multiple, appealing positions.  All the while, there's a shower of sparks and the glow of fire from around the set.  This sets up the explosive ending that would make my all-time top ten list for all-sex scenes (that is, if I kept such a list).  It begins with a slow motion, two-handed blowjob but ends with an incredible, no-hands Peter North pop shot over Nikki's face.  Marco is kind enough to show it to us in slow motion replay from a couple of angles.  All of the other scenes on the DVD are icing on the cake -- this scene takes the whole fucking cake!

"Hot Cafe" - Cindy Starlight, Dave Hardman, Jeremy Steele, and Rick Masters - This is another scene by John T. Bone, but fortunately it's a lot better than the earlier scene of his.  Even though ancient porn stud Dave Hardman is in the scene, it's a nice 3 on 1 outdoor group bang.  I dig Cindy's flowered undies, even though they don't stay on long.  For fans of gaping, there's a decent amount of pussy gaping and hand DPing.  Speaking of DPing, the last half of the scene is dedicated to that and shows Cindy being plugged well.  The ending is pretty good too as she's covered from face to waist with cum when it's done.

"Bicycle Pump" - Kelly Jean, Rick O'Shea, Sean Rider, Guy DiSilva & John Samuels - Hey, it's another J.T.B. directed short, and it looks like it was shot in the same place and time as the scene toward the beginning of the video.  Kelly (who could never ride a bike in real life due to her big fake boobs) causes another rider to wipe out.  After she coos over his injury, it naturally doesn't take long before the sex starts.  And it just so happens that there are another 3 outdoors enthusiasts right there to join in (as an aside, they look like they were getting ready to shoot a gay video if Kelly hadn't been there).  It's pretty much a waste of time for me to describe what goes on in this scene -- you've got the standard DPs, blowjobs, and guys jerking themselves off to stay hard.  Facials fans may want to skip to the end, when Kelly gets her face covered with lots of goo.

What I liked: Credited segments: As a reviewer and a porn fan, I like how Metro included the title, director, and stars in each of the scenes (a la music video style). This is especially helpful since several of the girls I had never seen before and also because it would have been hard to figure out who directed each of the segments without this cue.  Maybe the music video-like credits are a little over the top, but I appreciate it nonetheless.

The Beer Can Cummeth:   Peter North is amazing!  Nikki looks great in her scene with him, and I just love pop shots that are not only not a result of jacking off but that are hands-off.  It's definitely the reason to buy this DVD and one of the most memorable porn scenes ever!

What I didn't like: : I didn't care for the Misty/Nikki scene or the three scenes done by John T. Bone, but again I think they are just a bonus to the other scenes.  Also, Nikki is not cut out for the speaking roles -- feature dancing, yes.  Hardcore sex, yes.  Comic host, definitely not! 

DVD Extras: Other than the trailers on the flip side of the DVD, there aren't any supplemental features included.  Hardly a "Collector's Edition!"

A/V Quality: Both audio and video are of generally excellent quality.  Not up to par with film or the latest video, but definitely adequate for this type of porn.  Because each of the segments was shot by a different director, in different locations, at different times, and with different creative intent, the quality varies somewhat from scene to scene.  But aside from the occasional tape glitch and distracting ambient noise, I have no other complaints.

The Last Word: While Amazing Sex Talk never materialized into the long running series that Metro had hoped, this volume is some great porn for a reasonable price.  It's definitely recommended, especially for the hands-free facial scene.
