Synopsis:
Billed as a pro-am series film, Amateur Angels 5 is an all sex film featuring women that Adam & Eve would like you to believe are amateurs pairing up with seasoned veteran males.

Audio/Video:
The available audio track for the film is an English 2.0 Stereo track, which is all that is necessary for the film. The audio is well balanced with the dialog being able to be heard at all times. As is standard with this genre of film, the audio is slightly unrefined and doesn't sound as good as it would in your average adult feature film, but then again, the raw sound enhances this genre of film instead of working against it. No other language tracks are available and no subtitle options are available.

Amateur Angels 5 is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1, which is the original aspect ratio for the film. The film was shot on video and this version contains some issue with the print. The colors look true and the picture is clear but not as crisp as it could be. There is very fine breakdown of the picture, which won't bother viewers with smaller televisions, but those with larger sized screens will probably notice the breakdown. There is also loss of definition in some of the darker shots of the film. Other than these issues, the picture is acceptable.

Special Features:
Adam & Eve has put several extras on the disc, but the most promising one doesn't even live up to its name. First we have the Behind the Scenes feature which mostly consists of the photo shoot for the film and doesn't end up being a true behind the scenes piece. The slide show contains 38 stills on a track. Web Info hides the URL's for Adam & Eve. There are cast bios for Brittney Skye, Aimee Tyler, Envy-Mi, Natasha, Sabrina Love-Cox, Flick Shagwell and Jesse consisting of text information and a picture. Set Up contains the color bars for the disc for those who know how to use them. If you have THX Optimode Glasses, they can also be used with this feature as well. There are previews available for Amateur Angels 3, Sex Across America 6, Amateur Angels 4, and Sex Across America 7.

Navigation:
There are six chapters available from the main menu for Amateur Angels 5. They are identified by a video clip and the name of the female talent in the scene. Each chapter goes to the beginning of a sex scene so viewers can easily skip scenes. There is no time code for the feature film, so your only choice for navigation is using the chapters.

General Review:
Although marketed as a pro-am series, some of these amateur angels have rather well established porn careers, some with roles dating back to 2000. Flick Shagwell leads them with, at the time of writing, 127 titles listed over at IAFD. Others, like Sabrina Love-Cox and Jesse, probably still fit the description of amateurs since at the time of writing they both have under ten titles each listed. This aside, Amateur Angels 5 is still a decent film, just not quite what it is marketed as.

Amateur Angels 5 is an great all sex film for couples and viewers that like tamer sex but hate that pesky plot getting in the way of their sexual action. The sex in the film is very tame so beginning porn viewers should have no problems what-so-ever with this film. The most objectionable, depending on how you or your significant other look at things, is a lesbian scene with Natasha and Flick Shagwell. The sexual themes in the film are oral and vaginal sex with toys and lesbianism. For viewers that care about such things, there are condoms used in some scenes, but not in others.

The film is nicely photographed, especially for the genre, which can work for or against the film depending on how you view it. The end result is a nice looking polished film, which will certainly please some viewers. Others will hate the look and feel of the film as some of the amateur aspect of the film is lost through the polishing. Often films of this genre have a raw unrefined look to them that some viewers see as part of the attraction to the film and this is completely missing here.

The set-up for each scene is the same, and very similar to other films in the same genre. Each scene starts out with an interview session with the female talent, that is interlaced with parts of the photo shoot. The interviews stay fairly clean and are far less derogatory towards the female talent than other films of the same type that I have seen in the past. After the interviews are over the film heads into the sex scene.

The Scenes:
In the first and a very nice scene, Aimee Tyler meets up with Colt Steele for a BJ, some pussy eating and some vaginal sex. In the second and another very nice scene, Brittney Skye hooks up with Rick Masters for some pussy eating, a BJ and the vaginal sex. In the third scene, Natasha and Flick Shagwell get together for some lesbian action with some pussy licking, toy use and culminating with them both riding a double headed dildo.

The fourth scene gives us Sabrina Love-Cox and Buddy Cox for some alternating pussy eating and vaginal sex. The fifth and worst scene brings to us Envy-Mi and John West for some blow job action followed by the obligatory vaginal sex. What could have been a very good scene was completely ruined by horrible camera angles throughout. The sixth, final and very good scene has Jesse with Ian Daniels for some pussy eating, a blow job and the required vaginal sex.

Parting Thoughts:
Amateur Angels 5 is a good all sex film for couples and viewers who find similar films like the Just Over Eighteen series too nasty for them. Viewers that like nasty sex will be sorely disappointed by this film and viewers that like a plot in their film will feel similarly.
