The Short Story

Initial Expectations: I’ve liked what I’ve seen from this series so far, and love Luc Wylder’s attitude, so I’m going in with pretty good expectations.

Initial Reaction: It varies a little, but is pretty hot!

Who Should Watch It : Couples who don’t want to bother with the plot

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting to see how nasty some fresh talent can get.

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are fairly average. The audio is clear, but sometimes a little off balance. There’s also a few very noticeable background noises. The video has some noticeable grain, but it’s even and the action is decently lit.

Music: None

Disc Complaints: As happened so often when Fallen Angel and Adam & Eve teamed up, there’s no time stamp. There’s also the extremely large hot shot icon which you can’t turn off. These things always ticks me off, but since I think they’ve fixed these problems in their current releases I’m not going to whine about it here.

Menus: The menus are okay. The main menu has some decent animation and the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the girl in the scene.

The Feature

Luc Wylder, one of the nicest guys in the adult industry, hosts Amateur Angels. Although the girls aren’t quite amateurs in most cases (there’s a lot of familiar faces in the series), they’re all relatively new. Luc interviews each of the lovely ladies, and then lets them show what they can do.

Scene 1 – Jagger Hayes and Johny Spun

Jagger Hayes, a decent looking dirty blonde, turns out her very first scene ever with the help of Johny Spun. As soon as Luc decides they’ve talked enough, Johny gets right down to business and helps Jagger out of her clothes and slides his tongue and finger into her axe wound. She sucks his cock in return before climbing up for a cowgirl ride each way and then leaning forward so he can give it to her from behind. They finish things up missionary style and with Jagger taking a nice spooge spray from Johny on her stomach.

This scene was far better than I expected. There’s great chemistry between Johny and Jagger, and they both seem to be having a lot of fun. Although Jagger did a very good job, I think I was even more impressed with Johny. I think this was his first scene also, and he turns out an impressive pop shot that appears to be right on cue! I hope they aren’t planning on working together exclusively, since what I see here makes me think they might have a bit of a future in adult films.

Scene 2 – Jubilee and J.R. Neilson

Very cute redhead Jubilee and J. R. Neilson (who some might remember from Slut Enough) team up for the second scene. They kiss before Jubilee works her way down to mouth J. R.’s man meat while J. R. plays with her pussy. She sits on his face to let him return the favor before sliding down to ride him. They move through a couple of the other standard positions before he strokes himself to a decent pop on her stomach.

This is a pretty good scene. There’s great chemistry between Jubilee and J. R., although he looks like a grade-A suitcase pimp. It’s a very nice feeling scene, and I’m impressed enough with Jubilee that I hope she moves on to eat some pussy and take some other cock since I can’t see J. R. going anywhere.

Scene 3 – Vivian Vail and Dillion Day

Dillion Day and Vivian Vail are featured next. After talking with Luc a little, Vivian and Dillion exchange oral favors and then start bumping uglies doggie style. They keep things going with a little missionary before Dillion finally decorates Vivian from her alabaster stomach up to her face.

It’s a pretty typical scene for the series, which is a very good thing. It has people who obviously love to fuck and who don’t feel the need to see how nasty they can get in order to try to impress people.

Scene 4 - Ann Marie and Becca Bratt

Ann Marie and Becca Bratt, both girls who are very cute, very natural, and have pierced navels, hook up for the next scene. The girls start out with some light kissing before stripping down at all, and then play and take the time to admire each other’s body as they do strip. They continue to play with each other, and Ann Marie gives Becca’s bald beaver a little oral attention before Becca runs for the toys. She works Ann Marie over before laying back and letting Ann Marie return the favor. They take a break to 69, and then break out a double dildo, a device which Becca seems only too familiar with, to finish things up with.

It’s a very good scene that shows just what chemistry can do for a scene. The girls are fairly energetic, but not overly so. The only thing that’s really overflowing is the chemistry between the girls, and that makes the entire scene extremely hot even though I think a minute or two could have been easily cut out of the scene.

Scene 5 – Hope Rising and Ian Daniels

Curly brunette Hope Rising throws a little attitude at Luc during his interview before teaming up with Ian Daniels for the penultimate scene. He sucks her tiny titties while playing with her pussy before letting her gobble his knob. They work through the common positions, including doggie, missionary, and reverse cowgirl, before Ian pops on Hope’s tits and lets her suck out the last few drops.

This is another nice scene. There’s nothing too special about it, but you can tell that Hope is really enjoying herself. The biggest problem for me with this scene was her attitude at the start of the scene, which really started the scene on a low note for me.

Scene 6 – Trinity and Leo

Trinity and Leo finish things up in the kitchen. Leo plays with Trinity’s pussy a little before tonguing it and then lets her give him a little oral loving to get him going. They move on through a bit of reverse cowgirl, doggie, and missionary as they work their way around the kitchen before Leo finally decorates Trinity’s stomach.

This is a really nice scene. Neither Leo nor Trinity are really vocal or energetic, but they have a great realistic feel between them. There’s amazing chemistry and everything about the scene just feels natural. It’s a great way to show that things don’t have to get nuts to be hot, as this scene is smoking!

Amateur Angels 4 is a nicely done all sex feature. Some of the faces aren’t completely new, but they’re all pretty fresh. They never get too wild, but the chemistry and enjoyment of the scenes is all overflowing. There isn’t a single scene where you feel like the girl is there just for the paycheck, and this raises the movie up a notch for me. No, there’s nothing overly special or amazing in Amateur Angels 4, but it has so much feeling that it’s hard not to like it and feel something while watching it.

The Extra Stuff

The slide show lasts four minutes with about five seconds per nice looking snapshot or full screen photo. Bios are included for each of the girls. You pick which girl from a group photo and the name of the girl, and are rewarded with a photo of the girl and a fair amount of personal information. Trailers are included for Amateur Angels 3, Sex Across America Sixth Stop: Hawaii, and Amateur Angels 4. There’s also a behind the scenes feature and weblinks.

The behind the scenes feature lasts a whopping thirty five minutes. You get to see plenty of what goes on behind the scenes, such as the photo galleries being shot and people screwing around between takes. There’s plenty of fun here, but sadly, quite a bit of the video quality, in a word, sucks. The feature has the same great feeling as the movie, but the video quality holds it back to the point that some parts are sadly unwatchable.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, much of the Amateur Angels series can be found online for between $13 and $22 with a few stores offering it near the low end. The low end is very fair for what you get here. The sex is very nice and friendly and the extras are also nicely done. The biggest problem is the technical aspects, as the video is a little weak.

Note to Adam & Eve / Fallen Angel / Luc Wylder: A little more attention to the video quality would be a very good thing. It would also be nice to see an anal or group scene occasionally.
