Running Time: 171 min. (93 min. on DVD 1 and 78 min. on DVD 2). The cover states a running time of 3 Hours and 30 Minutes, which overstates things by about 40 minutes and is very unlike Jules Jordan. That said, with this big of an overstatement I'm deducting a half point from the overall score.

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects show the same care one's come to expect from Jules Jordan. The audio is clear and well balanced from start to finish, although there is a moment at the end of Alexis' scene with Nacho where you hear Jules interacting with them. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks great. There's nice care towards the lighting as well as a solid hand on the camera and a clear picture.

Watermark Warning: Although I don't like to see watermarks, I don't blame studios for using them if they think it will stop piracy of their product if they can do it tastefully. Here, Jules Jordan Video does it fairly tastefully with a very small watermark in the lower right corner that stays stationary so that it's easy to filter out of one's mind. It would be better if it were a little lower and more to the side as it did start to intrude a few times and drew my eyes away from what they were wanting to see, but it's much better than some other watermarks I've seen.

The Movie: Busty bottle blonde Alexis starts out in front of a series of windows wearing dark bug-eye shades talking about how her nymphomania seems to be getting out of control and how she classifies herself as a slut. She talks about her sexual history and how her sexual needs are interfering with her life.

Alexis shows off in an overstuffed chair and around a bed wearing a slutty white outfit that enhances her curves rather than leaving anything to the imagination. The sex is just as strong, with Alexis showing off why she definitely deserves to be noticed. Interracial, anal, cream pies for each hole, double penetrations, blowbangs, and plenty of swallowing. The only thing Alexis doesn't do here is lay back to see how soft and nonthreatening she can be sexually out of fear that somebody might be scared away if there's actually passion in the scene. Jules captures it all extremely well, and even joins in to finish the movie with a very solid anal POV scene. The only real complaint I can have about Alexis Ford Darkside is the marketing of it. As a Special Edition 2-Disc Set I expected a much longer movie (such as the cover puts forward). At roughly ten minutes under the three hour mark I've watched several other Jules Jordan releases that are the same time but only a single disc release. I have no clue why this is a double disc release, but as solid as Alexis Ford Darkside is, the addition of a second release makes this one fall back a notch simple by not delivering on the length. Alexis Ford Darkside is a smoking hot release that's well worth picking up, but don't expect anything more here than you get in your typical Jules Jordan single DVD release.

Extras: Trailers are included for six other Jules Jordan releases. The photo gallery lasts about seven minutes. There's also a behind the scenes featurette, a cast listing by scene, a bio for Jules Jordan, cumshot recaps, and commercials.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about fourteen minutes (as opposed to the ten minutes credited on the cover). Jules starts out working with Alexis and Nacho to set up their scene as well as capturing some of the scene as they shoot it. There's also a bit of extra footage from the blowbang and double penetration scenes. The footage continues with the POV scene between Alexis and Jules and her taking on Mandingo's mass. Finally you get a few extra moments with Lex. This is a nice collection of extra footage. There's some decent length to a few of the segments, and it moves at a nice pace.

Note to Jules Jordan: There's no doubt that you put out a solid product, but if you're going to do a double disc release make it really worth the customer's while.
