The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects aren't too bad. The audio is free of background noises, but the music is often a bit loud and makes things hard to hear. The video is presented in the full frame format and looks okay. It's a little on the dark side, but it's smooth and doesn't show any major blemishes to hold it back.

Music: The music is loud and a bit generic, and holds the entire movie back a little.

Menus: As usual with VCA, the main menu is very generic and a bit disappointing by just blending a bit of the cover with a clip from the movie in as generic a method as possible. Surprisingly they let you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of one of the girls in the chapter menu, but then they don't always get the names right.

The Feature

When Delusia (Julie Meadows) returns and starts killing guys again by letting them fuck her ass and then melting their brains, Mickey G. is called back into action to try to capture her. It's personal for him since she took out his partner years ago, but he's determined that she's going to go down now.

Scene 1 – Julie Meadows and Chris Cannon

After policeman Chris interviews dirty blonde Julie about a crime and then trying to arrest her for it, Julie turns the tables on him and demands he fuck her ass instead. The scene moves along at a good pace, but the camera also got way too close for me many times while combining it with some odd angles. The sex is good here, but the camera work and style held it back a bit.

Scene 2 – Dru Berrymore and Alec Metro

As the strip bar closes down, cute brunette Dru is helped up onto the bar so Alec can start licking her pussy. Scene 3 – Dyn-a-mite, TJ Hart, and Billy Glyde

The fucking, however, seemed like it was done almost as soon as it started, and I would have liked a little more action for each of the girls. This scene makes it above the average mark, but not by a lot.

Scene 4A – Amber Michaels and Frank Fortuna

Marty shows Julie his new robots, “manbot” Frank and “girlbot” Amber before they leave the bots on autopilot and head out. Scene 4B – Julie Meadows and Marty Romano

At the same time, Marty carries Julie into a sunken living room and settles back into a chair before she comes around and slides on top of him for a bit of sixty-nining. The move on with a reverse cowgirl ride, some missionary work, and a bit of doggie fucking before Marty pops on her ass.

This is an okay scene. Naturally it's hurt by being cut together with Amber and Frank's scene, but it does move at a pretty good pace. I was very surprised that there wasn't any anal action between Julie and Marty, and with the focus on anal in the movie it did hurt it a little. This is an okay scene, but nothing too special.

Scene 5 – Dru Berrymore and Pat Myne

When Dru gets home to her man Pat, she wants a little more loving even though he's tired and has to be at work in three hours. She refuses to back off, however, so Pat gives in and lets her start to work him over orally. Scene 6 – Julie Meadows, Mickey G., and Steve Hatcher

After catching Julie, cops Mickey and Steve get it on with her. This is a fairly unremarkable scene. Yes, it has the only double penetration of the movie, but it's also short and laid back to the point that it just didn't do anything for me. This scene ended the movie with the same laid back and forgettable feel that the rest of the movie used so much.

69th & Anal Street is a movie that's so average it's downright forgettable. The story is light and the sex is soft. Yes, there's anal in every scene except for Julie Meadow's pairing with Marty Romano, but it's often short and never feels like it has much depth. I think Dru Berrymore impressed me a little more than Julie for the sex, as she seemed to get into it a little more and came the closest to bringing a hint of an edge to the sex out of the entire cast. Yes, I know that this is a couples style anal movie and one doesn't want to see how far the movie can go sexually, but with the darker theme of the movie a hint of an edge to some of the sex would have fit it much nicer than the lackadaisical style that permeates the entire sex of the movie as it is. It would have also added some much needed depth to the movie and helped the scenes to stand apart from each other a little more. 69th & Anal Street isn't a bad movie, it's just so average that it's hard to care about it too much.

Currently, many VCA DVDs can be found online for between about $6 and $25 with many stores offering them for under $15. At the low end this one's a decent buy. The movie's light and the sex is fairly average. The technical aspects are pretty well done, but the extras are generic. This is a pretty average DVD all around.
